Yes, dwarves also expand in size to be compatible with humans/elves when kissing or sex is initiated.

I had a male Brosca whom I just couldn't play after he and Zev ended up in the tent, because he had a shaved head and kind of roundish features, and when he got bigger, he looked like the Pillsbury Doughboy. It was horrible, and I couldn't even look at him without laughing and cringing at the same time, so that playthrough got scrapped. XD

EDIT: Oh sod it, my first ToP, and I don't have any fanart in mind.  Uh.  Well, I'm sure it's been posted before, but I adore this one, because Isabela is so fun and teasing, and Fenris is so cranky, and then Garrett comes along . . . <3  It's  just adorable all around.

Wouldn't 4' be short, even for an elf? I have a hard time with feet and inches, too used to the metric system.

As a point of curiosity, does this also happen with a dwarf?

Yes. If you could see your dwarf during that cutscene, she would be hanging midair.

Well, just to throw another wrench into the mix, there's many different meanings to the word "intimate."

Actually it's that word I have a harder time with.  If there is abuse then I don't like the usage of intimate as a description.   However, I do think it is best to leave Fenris' relationship with Danarius as ambiguous.

They have made the elves taller.  Fenris is the same height as my FemHawke.  I wonder if they will ever give us a dwarven LI?

Thank you! Well, if you are grasping a straw then so am I, so it'd better be a damn big straw. :P

And welcome back, haven't seen you for ages!

Been on the Kaidan/ME3 thread.

He's my Fenris in Mass Effect universe.

Okay because I just totally spent the last 2 minutes going frame by frame through the trailer and OMG.. hyperventilating.

The
people in Hawke's party are.. *drumroll* Isabela and Fenris! Isabela
had the LI favor though *headdesk* ... but but... it was those 2 in the
trailer. I am now excited about this DLC.

Wow, I didn't even see them, that sounds promising...please let him have dialogue that is AWESOME.

Been listening to the "Fenris Theme" My favourite on the DA2 album.

IF Fenris is broken again I think there may be a revolt. I need confirmation on loving relationship! Everyone else gets it. I NEED IT FROM FENRIS. Even if its muted, which it would be, because he's Fenris.

I took my Surana to Orzammar and stood her on that bridge multiple times (I was actually trying to catch dialog), with every party member I could.  Oghren came up to her shoulder, she came up to Zev's chin, Alistair made her look like a child.  And we'll not get into how badly Sten dwarfed her.   The Awakenings party members were just funny.  The only one her same size was Velanna.  (FYI:  This was also how I found out that Zevran is the same height as Fem!Cousland.)

And yeah, they seemed to make the elves taller in DA2.  The height discrepancy between Merrill and Varric is greater.  And Merrill and Fenris don't seem to be as off from each other.

It is just our luck that'd be Fenris. Sebastians worked didn't it? Thought he'd be the one with the likely trouble of non LI recognition. *sigh*

I always have Fenris in my party cos I'm never a warrior, he's a good tank.

I was under the impression that Zev was shorter than a FemCousland. I was also under the impression that a MaleMahariel was shorter than Morrigan.

That's actually why I thought they'd made DA2 elves taller: so that FemHawkes wouldn't feel awkward about Fenris being shorter than them.

Nope.  Go take them to the bridge in Orzammar.  Same height.  It bugged me, too, so I had to go look;  I had to corner Zev to get my Cousland close enough, and just to be sure, I took their clothes off, too, but yep, she's the same height..  The problem is, Zev, by default ALWAYS raises his chin to look at the Warden.  Even the dwarf Wardens.  They didn't bother changing the animation according to the height of the PC.

Quick prompt before I try to get a serious one done... :)

Prompt: Qunari Relic

The Hanged Man
9:38 Dragon

Isabela pulls up a chair at the card game.

Varric: You just missed it, Rivaini. *as Hawke and Fenris walk in*  Some guy was in here ranting up a storm about an elven assassin looking for a Qunari relic.

 Fenris: *peers at Isabela*

Hawke: *sighs* Maker, not again.

Isabela: I didn’t do it this time… I don’t think.

Fenris: Good. You almost got Hawke killed last time.

Hawke: Frankly, it’s not the assassin part that has me worried. It’s the Qunari part. And the potential-for-giant-spiders part.

Isabela: You know, now that I think about it, I…have something I need to go do. *leaves hurriedly*

 Fenris: *watches her go* Venhedis.

Hawke:  *coughs* So, Fenris, how do you feel about visiting somewhere else, oh, say, Ferelden, or Orlais, or…well, anywhere else? I think I just got the urge to leave town.

Fenris: I can think of something...

They leave. Anders arrives and takes one look at Sarge, who growls at him. The mage hurriedly leaves, muttering something about owing the dog money.

Varric: *sighs* So much for the card game…

To touch back on the Fenris and Danarius discussion... I don't think we're likely to ever get a real answer for that. And I think it's probably a good thing.

When Gaider said, a few pages ago, that what Fenris has with a mage Hawke has no associations with Danarius for him...(I'm paraphrasing) he was speaking writer, and dev. The phrasing of that was so specific, to neither confirm nor deny what may or may not have occurred. Some things you don't want to ever set in stone, for various reasons.

I have a similar situation with a character I use in both novels and RPG modules. Like Fenris, the character was in a situation where there was plenty of potential for abuses of different kinds happening, and documented abuses of specific, non-sexual kinds. So there was potential and a decent likelihood that he was subjected to other kinds of abuse.

At this point, I think I know whether or not it happened. But I'd never establish it concretely,  because it is such a specific thing. If I told anyone, I'd almost feel like I was reading that character's diary out loud.

Once you establish that something like that has happened to a character, it can become such an overwhelming part of how people perceive that character. So even if it did happen, if it is something that isn't overwhelmingly important to the character itself, it can mess up that character's perception and role if you bring it up.

So this thing, I doubt we'll ever know for sure.

I completely agree - no indication of love in Legacy killed me!  I'd hate my Hawke to have to doom Thedas because she's not getting any acknowledgement from her broody, sexy elf!!

That aside, though. I'm excited about the new DLC! The potential to take your love interest to an Orlesian party sounds hilarious and I'm crossing my fingers we can hopefully get new costumes for them for the occasion, since, if I remember right the preview thing at pax mentioned something about Merrill getting a new golden outfit or something right?

Don't know how I missed this when I first read your post... Posted Image

We had better get some spiffy new fancy outfit for Fenris.
And if it's at an Orlesian party, we had better be able to dance with our elf.

As far as Legacy goes, is it worth getting?

I think this is where my brain stopped. It's probably a futile expectation, but it would be made of awesome.

By the way, would Fenris know how to dance?

I imagine Hawke showing up to a fancy Orlesian party with an elf, pirate, or apostate on her arm would be quite scandalous. Assuming our companions go with us at all it will be fun to see how this is handled.

I'm not sure what sort of excuses could be used for the other companions(to get into the party), but Hawke  could always say that Fenris is his/her bodyguard. He might be a little pissed. Posted Image

I always thought that Hawke would be invited to parties and such in Kirkwall, and since my Hawke likes to trololol everyone, she'd made Fenris dress up and be her escort and introduce him to the other nobles as her 'lanky, broody sexy elf lover'. And then que one of the ladies fainting because she does into detail about their sex life.

My Hawke is a terrible noble.

I really hope there's lots of 'nobling' about at the fancy party. And plenty of awkwardness from Fenris.

*ROFL*

I've wondered how Aniya would handle that (for science, of course). Given that by Act 3, anyone in Kirkwall who invites her to something and has a problem with Fenris can sod off (in her opinion), I could see this going one of two ways if it were in the context of a TSM-type 'mission'.

1) She invites the scandal (assuming that Fenris is at least vaguely on board with the idea) and 'hides' both of them in plain sight.
2) She tries smooth/sweet-talking Fenris into playing the bodyguard and making it up to him.

Maker, there's a fic chapter or two in that. (but it will have to wait until I have time to buy/play the darn DLC.)

*goes back to studying for her Dermatology and Pharmacotherapy exams...* [/nerd]
