For all we know, we could've gotten the VA, but Mr. Gaider is laughing and not going to say until either after we see a video with Fenris speaking or even up until the game's release (just in case we can't recognize it).

Are we sure that Fenris' VA is someone who does voice acting regularly? He could be someone well known in TV and/or movies.
That's what I was wondering.

Either that or my crazy conspiracy theory is that Mr. Gaider decided to cut out the middleman and has chosen to be the VA for Fenris all by himself.

I totally agree about Nathaniel too, btw. Anders could happen, he was great fun, but with Nathaniel--well, maybe they could build it up another way, but with the Warden there was already such a great hook in place. Hard to top that. Wish I could remember who linked me to this, but here's a good fanfic exploration of that missed chance with a Cousland. It's a WIP, but already has a lot of chapters, and it's quite well-written.*reads right now*

I hope Mr. Gaider stops by and drops a hint, namely specifying whether the VA is a regular video game VO or new to it. It couldn't hurt to tell us that, could it?AzuraLuna wrote...

Could be, I was a bit lost on some of the names mentioned - I need a crush course in who's who in VO.
But I agree with Lucy about Ezio, I am from Italy although currently living in the US and I picked on the poor guy throughout the whole game.

Yeah, lol. It's pretty... yeah.
I did like that they used quite a few actual Italians, though. Good move on their part.

I would love it if he had an Icelandic accent . . .
When I read "unique accent" this is the first thing that popped into my head. It's basically the one accent I have a very hard time placing, no matter how often I hear it. I worked at a hostel for two and a half years, and so grew accustomed to many, many accents. But this one always stumped me until someone flashed their passport.
However, I can't think of a single actor or voice actor that's so famous the s/he can be identified immediately from Iceland. Jeeze, I can't even think of anyone uber well-known with recognizable accents, like Italian or Russian.
My apologies, Fenris thread. Here I am, finally come out of lurking, and I am no help whatsoever.
I am ashamed.

Does Ezio have one voice actor or two? (young Ezio in acII vs old on ac brotherhood) I'm assuming the actor just raised/lowered his voice? Lol
I know i sound like a complete AC freak but yes that's what he did. As younger Ezio he tried to speak quick and higher while later in the game he tried to appear relaxed and lowered the voice. Considering he is an american that imitated an italian throught his life (with the implication of voice changing) i'd say he is a pretty awesome person.
But not only Ezio's voice changed in AC2, his face and skin too! He became pale and he had some wrinkles. I wish that would happen in more games that span over a number of years.

And thanks for the insight. Something I didn't realize about myself for a while. ^^;
I think a LOT of girls agree about Varric, and it mainly being a height or body hair thing. But I'm not going to cause a fuss if he is revealed to be a LI. Like Carth and the others after him, you can get over something that bothers you if you simply like the person. And we have to agree his personality is intriguing.
About accents, if we all come to a consensus on one language, we're all bound to be disappointed. =P
If we just think Italian then we'll either be right or pleasantly surprised. ^^
*lol* Varric... yeah, I won't complain either. I would have to respect it on one level; there are women who just love chest hair and burly, stocky dudes. I don't dig that, but I'm not going to complain. And it's not like he's horrible looking. He's okay for a dwarf. I liked the concept art better than the finished product, but after all the Sacred Ashes mods, there will no doubt be mods for Varric too.
It was, in fact, none other than our own Sir Occam! He heard a demo in an expo hall and it sounded like Brian Bloom.Lucy_Glitter wrote...

edit:
I think a certain somebadiewent to one of the demos and then helped
out, then that magical VO guessing guy... guessed it.
He is the epic info ninja of the forums, after all. No wonder Gaider is careful! He knows that Occam lurks these halls, waiting to strike...
