Does it really make a difference on the Carver/Merrill moments whether he's sneaking off to the Rose to see a female prostitute or a male one? ;) He's still seeing a prostitute.

That said, my mage!Hawkes would disapprove of Carver and Merrill, because they thought their brother was smarter/raised better than to fall for a blood mage . . . XD I can DEFINITELY see the one in my avatar 'teasing' (with an edge) his Templar!Carver brother about being a TEMPLAR and flirting with a maleficar. But he'd disapprove even more of Carver going after Fenris, since Hawke has his eye on the broody elf. So if it was between Merrill or Fenris . . . XD

But, can't you see how they are perfect for each other?

Merrill is too stupid to be possessed by a demon and Carver is too stupid to hurt her. Their infinite amounts of stupidity interconnect with one another.

Pfff you haven't even met Tallis yet, lol. I can't say yay or nay till I've seen her character.

Im so not stoked for some Orlesian party thing. I could care less about fancy pants. I knew you could bring companions its just in the cutscenes I see hawke alone... no companions. Makes me think it is some kind of espionage mission that involves Hawke infiltrating with the companions just sort of tagging along when hawke clears the way. Seriously.. dancing and fancy dresses... I must be like the only one who doesn't care about that stuff.

Especially the whole Fenris servant thing, lmao.... just no. He is more likely to walk in the place armor and sword in hand going "alright, Hawke let's get this out of the way."

As for the Carver thing... never saw any innuendo or flirts in their banter. The "I do have a life!" One especially never seemed like a flirtatious statement. And don't even get me started on Fenders... bleh.

Lol im being very contradictory today. Oh well....

Sounds more like you want to dance with Fenris.

Which, to be fair, would be fun. Interacting with our LI. Just, some extra scenes with them wouldn't hurt.

Actually, I'm not into fancy parties and dresses either. What I want is a deep and exciting DLC, and of course, that cannot be possible without Fenris ;)

It is not a matter if he can dance. But, can he dance the way Orlesians do? I assume, with everything, they have odd dances. Odd and awkward, especially for a glow in the dark elf with a scowl that can cut the soul.

Im sure he witnessed enough "parties" in Tevinter to where he might at least know a basic waltz type dance. Still... don't see it happening. Especially since Orlais probably has some funky type dancing that nobody knows.

I still don't know if the DLC is in Orlais or just an Orlais type party. Im inclined to think the latter. God, my Hawke would be miserable at a party. Dressing up, mingling, small talk with douches. Kill me now. If by some miracle of the maker Fenris even suggested dancing (which he would have to because my Hawke would be scowling in the corner) my Hawke would raise an eyebrow... go GTFO of here... who are you and what did you do with my Fenris?!

Seriously... I abhore parties, smalltalk and all that BS. Lol this is sounding spiteful. It is not. Just saying how little I care for things like this... I was more excited about the vault and the monster than the silly fancy pants. Leliana and her shoes convo... god I wanted to strangle her. I think I said something like "I don't care..." and she got all offended. Lol.

Urgh, Leliana's shoe convo!!!! That reeeealllllyyy irked me as well!!! I was like "How DAFT could you get???" Shoes?! Really?! Yuck.

However, if Fenris asked my Hawke to dance... I don't think she'll be able to refuse:wub:

Has anyone have a funny feeling that Male Hawke's fancy dress looks a lot like Balthier's?

Lol... a little bit. A little bit.

Im wondering if Isabela and Tallis together might be a bit over the top. I would almost have to have Fenris just to balance the snarky fems with some broody.

Im still reserving judgement but I swear if Tallis and Izzy both start flirting it up with Fenris Im gonna have to choke somebody. They are saying she is flurry with Hawke too. I probably will be like.. step off she-elf im so taken. I just hope Fenris isn't bugged to hell and says something similar if they start on him. Honestly I would crack up if he treats Tallis like he does Merrill.

I doubt Fenris would treat Tallis like he does Merrill, as he treats Merrill the way he does because she's a blood mage.

Well, and because she's Dalish. Is Tallis Dalish? I haven't been paying much attention; I'll give the character her chance when the DLC comes out, not pre-judge based on promos and fandom's general anti-female-character bias.

But, Dalish or not aside, most of the outright hostility is because Merrill's a blood mage. And Tallis isn't a mage at all, so that wouldn't be an issue.  Fenris does tend to have problems with other elves - he dislikes the Dalish at least in part because he sees the ancient history of the elves as irrelevent and useless, and in part because he doesn't like their lifestyle (his short story puts his opinion of them rather bluntly), and he dislikes city elves for how meek they tend to be (again, the short story).  Tallis clearly isn't going to be a meek city elf.  If she's Dalish, that would be a strike against her.  If she's not, or if she can win past his prejudice (I love Fenris, but wow, does he have prejudices ), but if she's not, he may well respect her for being a non-Dalish elf who isn't bowing to human rule.  Hard to say, because we haven't been able to see how he is around such an elf except for Zev, and, well, we know why he gets cranky there.    So if Tallis gets flirty with Hawke, he may dislike Tallis for that . . .

And personally, I won't mind if Tallis is flirty with Fenris.  I'm not the kind of person who freaks out when someone flirts with an actual boyfriend/girlfriend, I'm certainly not gonna raeg over a fantasy one.  I consider just flirting to be harmless fun.  If it gets more direct and "You, me, bed, now," that's a problem, and even then, only if I didn't think I could trust him to mention he's taken and stick by it - but we know Fenris shuts Isabela down if he's with Hawke; I imagine he would do the same to Tallis.  Now, if he's flirty back while in a relationship with Hawke, that would be an issue, because we've seen he doesn't do that.  With Isabela, of all people, who is the woman he ends up with if Hawke doesn't want him (or her).  So that would be quite jarring.  But I'm trusting Bioware not to screw that up.

Way more likely his banters just won't trigger at all, after all.

There some really strange slash -ship in DAII that I found I really don't mind seeing:

1. Issie and Fenris.
2. Carver and Merrill.
3. Anders and Fenris.
4. Anders and Bethany.
5. Issie and Bastie.

Now....I'd better find somewhere to hide before I got tear into pieces.....

Not Izzy and Fenris, PLEASE. Anyone but her! I don't know why I (and my Hawke) get so furious at the thought of Izzy and Fenris together! Maybe its because she so obviously wants him? Or maybe its because she's basically a **** of the high seas. Maybe both! Whatever the reason may be, Izzy MUST stay away from Fenris! Any other romance is fine by me:P

@Arcane_Solona, even when your Hawke is not romancing him? I let him playing with Issie when I tried to romance Anders. Very hard playthrough, I must say. That's the only time I did not romance him.

I have issues with 3 and 4, personally. I simply can't see Fenders as even remotely IC for either of them. Their relationship is completely different from the rivalmance with Hawke - they don't respect each other despite their disagreements, they hate each other. And I'm not a fan of horribly abusive relationships, so I can't stand Fenders, since it's either OOC, or abusive. I have read and enjoyed some Fenders AU fics, but that's because the characters in the AUs didn't have the base underlying causes to despise each other, and without the hatred, why not? They're both hot. I just can't get past the hate for the sake of the hot. XD And with 4, it's kind of like an instinctive reaction - anything that touches my little sister gets cut off, Anders! ;)

5 makes little sense to me, but I'm not against it, just . . . meh, sure, whatever.

Personally, I'm very fond of Isabela/Fenris (and wouldn't really call them 'strange', since they're an alternate version of canon, even), and of Fenris/Sebastian, and also of either of those with the addition of Hawke. XD

Now that just felt patronizing... im so in a bad mood ... forget it.

I don't think Tallis is Dalish, but she is described as a snarky flirter type. Akin to Isabela and a streak of Varric. Honestly Fenris might respect her or maybe see her like he would Zev. I just meant if he treated her like he does Merrill I would find it entertaining. I fully understand his reasonings about Merrill.

Also as I said I think both Izzy and Tallis being overly flirtatious snarky fems might be over the top. I meant if their shameless flirting (if it exists) is something both my Hawke and Fenris have to endure I might get the urge to choke someone. Especially if Fenris is broken and flirts back... again.

As far as pairings... to each their own. We've been through Fenders and Fesabela enough times. I really don't see a point in discussing it anymore.

I should go. Work sucks royal arse tonight and I am in a sneering snarly mood.

5? Haven't you came across the banter between Issie and Bastie? She teased him to a point his face went bright red! Ever since I heard that I can not get rid of the though hovering in my head.
