I've heard it, yes, but the way I see it is, he just sees her too much as the way he used to be, and he's not really into that. Sure, she's hot, and he's susceptible to that like anyone who likes hot ladies, but the reminder of his past kills it. Other people see it differently and that's cool, it's just not my personal opinion.

Which is also the case for all my other opinions I post. For example, I may dislike Fenders, but I'm not going to tell other people they can't - I'm just going to ask they don't talk to me about it or link it to me unless it's a nicely-done AU, because otherwise, it makes my head hurt. XD

Luckily enough, the only playthrough in which I did NOT romance Fenris (my first playthrough- went with Anders instead), Isabella didn't like me enough to come back and hand over the Tome of Koslun, so she was gone forever, which means I never had to endure the terrible flirting and obvious banter in Act 3. The other 2 playthroughs, he's my mine, through and through 

Isabella is a wonderful friend, but when it comes to Fenris, I just want to CHOKE her pretty little tan neck! (though something tells me that huge necklace is there for a reason: to prevent anyone from choking her. You gotta admit... she's pretty chokeable at times).

But yeah, for some reason, Fenris' jaw always caught my attention (LOVE how angular it is; its unlike any other character) and I think it was modelled after Gideon's jaw line. (do they usually do that-- model game characters based on their voice actors?)

Even my 3 year old wee girl can hum it in the most amazingly accurate tone. It was how she knew all about coffee.

I've just gone through my screenshot folder, and I've discovered that have almost triple the amount of Fenris screenshots than Anders screenshots. I hope he's proud of himself. He even messed up my headcanon. Stupid sexy elf.

And I'm glad I'm not only person who wants to choke Isabela. Especially when during her 'When I see something I like, I go after it.'
Even thought Fenris says she should keep her distance, she just replies with a 'Now it's challenging.'

I mean, REALLY Isabela?! Did it not occur to you that because Fenris just ran off on Hawke, it might be a touchy subject? And that Hawke might very well try to set you on fire?

I love Isabela, but when she does that just argh I want to hurt her so bad.

On a cheerier topic: I think Fenris is perhaps a bit of a pervert. For example, taking him and Isabela to talk to Jethann. Isabela says Jethann reminds her of someone, and Fenris smirks and says 'Can't imagine who'. Or when Isabela says to Aveline to stick her thumb up Donnic's ass, Fenris is the only one who laughs.

I always just assumed it is his sardonic humor that gets him. The sheer irony of Jethann and the hilarious brashness and bluntness of Isabela's comment. I would laugh too. I don't really think he's one for crude humor per say, but it does seem like he (moreso than the other companions) has an open mind to certain things.. *wink wink nudge nudge*

I have issues with 3 and 4, personally. I simply can't see Fenders as even remotely IC for either of them. Their relationship is completely different from the rivalmance with Hawke - they don't respect each other despite their disagreements, they hate each other. I have read and enjoyed some Fenders AU fics, but that's because the characters in the AUs didn't have the base underlying causes to despise each other, and without the hatred, why not? I agree.  I don't mind and can generally see any of the others hooking up.  And since my Hawke isn't romancing that character I can laugh and enjoy it except for Fenders which I just can't see.  It seems like an abusive relationship in the making.  And I don't enjoy those, I'm not keen on slash so that maybe part of the problem (there's too much of that in RL).  But I wouldn't think of telling those who enjoy it not to.  That's the beauty of a great RPG all the differences of opinion.:happy:

Im so not stoked for some Orlesian party thing. I could care less about fancy pants. I knew you could bring companions its just in the cutscenes I see hawke alone... no companions. Makes me think it is some kind of espionage mission that involves Hawke infiltrating with the companions just sort of tagging along when hawke clears the way. Seriously.. dancing and fancy dresses... I must be like the only one who doesn't care about that stuff.

Especially the whole Fenris servant thing, lmao.... just no. He is more likely to walk in the place armor and sword in hand going "alright, Hawke let's get this out of the way."

As for the Carver thing... never saw any innuendo or flirts in their banter. The "I do have a life!" One especially never seemed like a flirtatious statement. And don't even get me started on Fenders... bleh.

Lol im being very contradictory today. Oh well....

I am less than stoked about this DLC too.  I don't love the party thing ever since I don't love fancy dress in RL.  As for Tallis, she just seems so perfect, well so far.  Exclusive moves, she looks different from other elves, great hair  as others have said a little too Mary Sue.  But for the chance of more Fenris, I will endure.   The things I will do for more of that elf.  

Bioware should include a song by Fenris in the DLC cross promotion!!  Fenris sings in Orlais!

I actually just bought that yesterday, and it's great! I have all kinds of respect for Gideon Emery's versatility. You can definitely pick out his voice in various roles (for example, when he's one of a handful of characters in ME2), but Fenris himself has a completely different character to the voice and dynamics.  

I don't know that I hear Fenris, specifically, singing, but I'm very happy to be able to support his voice actor in a real way.

I'm hoping that the bioware team heard enough grousing about 'broken Fenris' in Legacy that they avoid the problem this time. To tell you the truth, since Fenris may have a larger role in MotA, he may get more testing time.

I'm going to try optimism. (And with that, I'm back to studying. Optimism alone won't help me pass this exam. )

See, his voice, to me, has a different tone/timbre here than when he's singing on Standard Ease. I would agree that in his audiobook sample, in the 'narrating character's' voice, the voice is very Fenris-esque. Not quite the same voice, but very close, IMO.

Is it sad that I'm considering buying audiobooks based on Gideon Emery's reading of them? 

Back to Fenris...seriously, I'm gonna reserve judgement on MotA. We don't even know how much of it is based on a TSM-type high-society party sort of thing. Hopefully, it's great flavor, but still stays true to the spirit of the characters involved.

I did exactly that. I got The Genesis Secret by Tom Knox simply because Gideon read it. Maker's breath, over 11 hours of listening to him talk is intoxicating. It's not exactly Fenris, it's more Balthier, but it's still quite something.

You're right. I don't hear Fenris in Gideon's singing voice, but since Gideon's talking voice is Fenris' talking voice, I figured that's what Fenris would sound like if he ever sang:P

As much as I love the voice I'm not one to go buy everything up by Gideon Emery. I do love his versatility, but Fenris' voice is rather unique and acted uniquely.

While some of his other stuff is "Fenris-like" it doesn't have the same type of impact that Fenris did on me. *shrug* I just don't know if I could buy stuff based on his voice alone.

As far as Tallis -- I am disliking that people are labeling her a "sue" just based on vague information and random images. I am reserving judgement on her character until I actually meet her. The party thing is still potential to be interesting, but people are getting way to hung up on this "fancy dresses and OMG party" thing.

Gah, and my streak of snarly continues... I sound so Debbie Downer.. Bah maybe I'll just take a break from the forums for a couple days, LOL.

I didn't play Awakening with all my Wardens, and I don't believe there is any specific Awakening content in DA2 unless you import an Awakening PT character.  I could be mistaken, but I've never had any where my import has only been a DA:O PT...
