Awww, I am also one of the ducklings, sitting pretty at 23. Want kids of my own, but I despise all other peoples children. I also hate seeing what parents sometimes let their kids get away with. I worked in the theater, and I see kids hitting their moms screaming and getting what they want. It's mind boggling, cause I think my mother would have murdered me for behavior like that.

Lol, Fenris with mage child.

Child: Ah *points at sippy cup*

Fenris: Thirsty? *Gets up to retrieve*

Child: *Posted Image* Ah.

Fenris: Surely the need is not so great that crying is called for.

Child: *Posted ImagePosted Image*

Fenris: Enough, you are not entitled to the cup. Sometimes we don't always get what we want! Life isn't always fair. Better you learn that now, before you let the fact that everyone rushes about for you go to your head.

Child: *Posted Image, Posted ImagePosted Image."

Hawke: *pickes up the cup while breezing through the kitchen and hands it to the toddler* I think he's just thirsty. Sorry his mother will be by soon for him. *breezes out*

Child: *Happily drinking while holding Fenris' gaze*Posted Image

Fenris: Hmph, that was only done to silence you, we are not here to be ordered about like slaves mage.

Child: *Puts down cup with a smack of lips, points at plate of sweet bread* AH.

Fenris: Forget it. HAWKE! Get in here, the power has already gone to the mages head, he is ordering me around.

Child: *Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image*

Hawke: Facepalm.

Awww! I love how Fenris stays true to his anti-mage, broody self even when he is talking to a child! I love how he calls it "mage" as well! Hah! Oh Danarius, you filthy old man you... look what you've done.

It just struck me that, up until now, it seems that I am the baby of the group! So I'm gonna go ahead and throw tantrums every time a discussion doesn't go my way:P

Jusssttt kidding. I'm never one (and was never one) for tantrums. And for the record, I'm not a fan of children either, whether they're related to me or not. Which is why I totally see myself going down UrsulaCousland's path- no children!

Funnily enough, I've been saying I'd never get married and have children ever since I was five or six years old, I think.

Okay, sorry for going so off-topic again!

*tries to jump right back into topic* Ummm.... YEAH! FENRIS FOR THE WIN!

Yep I was the "i'm never having children" as well - as recent as about 5 years ago - and my son is 3 1/2!

I have to say "FENRIS FOR THE WIN" made me laugh out loud!

Now I'll try....

GO Broody!!!

I'm 18 and so far, no babies for me kthxbai. I don't know if it would be different if they were my kids, but I hate children. Unless they're silently sleeping babies. They're nice.

A mention of Danarius up there brings me to something- I feel incredibly horrible for handing Fen over to him on my first run. I just played through 'Alone' again, and Danarius makes me go URHFHSGFAH KILL IT. He's disgusting; the way he walks, the way he looks at Fenris and how he talks and uuuhrhrhghgshhghsgahsdfjdhshj- creeper alert. HOW COULD I HAVE SENT FEN OFF WITH THAT THING. And how utterly crushed Fenris is if you do it that he just goes off with Danarius; he doesn't even fight andand I feel dirty.

Brb, applying self punishment and disinfectant.

On a different note, I think that thing tucked into Fen's red band is a feather of some sort. Though I've no idea why he'd have a feather.

The only problem with this piccie is in DA universe, all human-elf babies should have the appearance of a human. Think Feynriel.

Why is Fenris as pale as snow? Fenris is dark, tanned. For the love of, he is paler than Hawke there!

Perhaps he tried to rid of his markings and unsuccessful?

Again to me it's the thought that count, darling. Don't worry about the skin and the boy's knife ears XD

@ekurian You're a year younger than I am! *jumps off "youngest person in the thread" pedestal*

And that picture is ADORABLE. But yeah.. Fenris is quite tanned! Nevertheless, still a beautiful drawing!

But Fenris is suppose to be tall, dark, and handsome! They've took away the tall part. Don't take away the dark D:

He'd have a feather because of Hawke's name (derived from Hawk, the bird). Makes sense when you think about it that way.

I'm not sure. Someone reblog'd it with "Is that HAWKE?!?!"

Either way, it's an OMGWTFROFLMAO.

Edit: Apparently, it's M!Hawke. It does sound like Anders though.

Oh hell.. listened to that at work. My god... bad idea. Lmao.

Ohhh are we on the Fenbabies thing again? Sorta? Lol I never have seen Fenris as a good father figure type. The closest I could get is some future waaaaaay in the distance where he could actually accept someone besides Hawke to get that close to. Still... im much more interested in his relationship with Hawke and bringing kids into it is ... bleh. White picket fences and a little house in the suburbs.. lol I couldn't see Fenris doing that. My Hawke either, but that might say more about me than anything, lol.

Perhaps it does, but you aren't the only one. I can't disagree with that statement - it says a lot about me too. :)

*quotes self, exaggerating for comedy's sake*

I don't want kids IRL. Don't want 'em in game either. Canon Hawke (and by extension Fenris) won't have that problem.  And before you ask, the Grey Warden sterility thing didn't bother me a bit. Heck my SIMS didn't have kids and neither did my Fable characters. *evil grin*

*end quote of self*

Do some folks love the idea? Just as in real life, fantastic, knock yourselves out - and I do think that art is fluffy-cute.. :) The concept itself, however, just isn't for me or my head!canons. :D

I imagine Hawke and Fenris will have a lot to work out between themselves as well. That is the story im interested in. Fenris doesn't rely on anyone to help him with his inner demons. He may be less than inclined to let Hawke help him. Although he trusts Hawke and reveals a lot to Hawke he is very independent when it comes to dealing with things. For instance, he never moves in. I wonder how long it would take before he feels comfortable enough to share space? He seems also like someone who will need to be alone at times. I am very much like that. Even though there are people I love... sometimes I need to be alone to recharge and think. I see Fenris doing the same.

Awwww, Fenbubs. Adroable despite the inconsistencies......And I happen to be clucky as anything right now because my sister is 14 weeks pregnant.

Hmmmm, need some help here Fenfans - currently writing a fic ( a preview of which I will post for feedback) and I can't think of what Fenris is.......He mentions that "Warriors such as myself are rare..." so I assume that those with Lyrium markings have a specific name.

His specializations of 'Tervinter Fugitive' is no help, and I don't really want to use 'Lyrium Ghost' because that's already an ability...............Soooooo, thoughts?

Honestly he is just a warrior. The lyrium warriors might have some kind of specific title but I doubt it. I always wondered myself, but I doubt the were awarded any title other than bodyguard or slave. It might make them feel important. Plus im not entirely sure he was referencing the markings in particular or making a statement more about the type of warrior he is. It is interesting to think there are others out there who went through and survived the same ritual.

If it were me I would call him a warrior or bodyguard with no formal title. I doubt they would let a slave have such things.

Huh, never thought about it that way....Well, that solves that problem, much obliged Arquen; many thanks.

Might be a while yet - I'm just hitting my stride, and I'm not yet halfway through what I want to post for a preview.

Back to the Word document!

Pretty much agree with everything you said there, Arquen. Plus, I'm very much like that as well; sometimes, you just really wanna be left alone.

However, I do see Fenris having children with Hawke one day. And I do see him as being a very loving and doting father, a father who would do anything for his kids, and a father who would rip out people's throats if they ever tried to harm them.

Since Hawke's bloodline has quite a lot of magic, it would be very ironic if one (or more) of their children ended up being mages. I really wonder what Fenris' reaction and attitude towards them would be. My guess is that he'd love them all the same, seeing as he adores a mage Hawke just as much as a non-magical one. But deep inside, I can imagine him thinking to himself "Magic seems to dog me wherever I go, whatever I do *sighs*".

Lol I think a piece of Fenris will always hate magic, but he would love a mage child as much as any other I would think. He was willing to give Varania "everything" and she was a mage. I think he would be cautious with a mage child maybe opting for him/her to have training. He may or may not trust Hawke with that training, and im sure the argument would come up about the circle (if something like it still exists with the rebellion and all).

If Fenris gets to that point where he wants or can accept a child I think he would also be prepared for a mage child.. though he might be fearful of that. He would still love the child, but no doubt would hope that the child ends up like Hawke and not some weak mage. He would no doubt fight to avoid this with his whole being lest his son/daughter end up ole the magisters and abominations he will never forget.

If course this all assumes Fenris can even have children. The lyrium and trauma from the ritual might make that impossible.
