Yeah that was the case. SirOccam guessed Hawke's VA by hearing him as well=]Too bad nobody saw/heard Fenris so we can guess...but i wonder why is it such a secret? I understand that they don't want to give us details on the plot and so on, but the VA...

What you've all failed to see with the constant talk of accent play, is that they decided to save money on this game, and 30% or more of the game will be voiced by Jeffrey Donovan.

It's kind of dissapointing we haven't heard any companions yet (except for Varric and a couple of words from Isabela). I'm really hoping for a companion video or a dialogue wheel video in the near future.

I don't dig that, but I'm not going to complain. And it's not like he's horrible looking. He's okay for a dwarf. I liked the concept art better than the finished product, but after all the Sacred Ashes mods, there will no doubt be mods for Varric too.

That's actually not my preferred body type for men but I still would like to see a Varric romance because he's just that awesome. Personality counts for a lot.

People were saying it was Boulton for weeks, though. He just went in expecting to hear Boulton.

We don't know that much about Varric imo. We know something about Isabela because she was in Origins. But Varric can turn out to be involved in slave trade, or something similar...

There was the case of Bishop... Granted, he was the only physically attractive man in the game, but still. Not implying liking him was wrong, but he did kind of betray the protagonist. Never mind the constant mentions of violence and stuff.

Same here. I was crazed about Alistair my first playthrough cause i was a fem Cousland and i married him...when i got the mage/elf bull****, i started hating him a little. I started liking Zevran...when he chose not to go with the crows but stay with me my heart melt xD (first time he betrayed me)

Well, as much as I know most people hated Bishop, he's still one of my favorite characters from NWN series. But I don't think you guys have to worry about Fenris being like him, seeing as Ser Gaider himself said that he intended to write a more Valen-ish character. Can't remember the exact words but since it was in this thread, you probably remember that too

Not quite...started with us talking about who we wouldn't want as Varric's VO (Michael Cera and David Schwimmer were suggested), and then the ball started rolling with suggestions (serious and otherwise) before Namedforthemoon suggested Brian Bloom.  The thread went as one (more or less) to check out Bloom's work as Leske and Dwynn and pretty much agreed that he would be a more than acceptable choice for Varric.  SirOccam did hear Varric's voice at Pax (I believe), but couldn't make out enough to determine the voice actor.  We were all surprised when Mary and Sheryl appeared in the thread going "holy crap, I can't believe you guessed it without hearing it".

Sarcastic ****s are always fun for me to watch, though not so much if I'm interacting with said person. Brooders...heh, I like brooders.  

IF Fenris did have an annoying personality, he'd get the boot as far as being a teammate and possible LI goes.  I doubt this will happen however.  'Course I may just be optimistic.

Annoying is subjective. I loved Morrigan because she had such an attitude about everything. The only time I got annoyed was that she complained about doing all the Redcliff quests because it was a goody-goody thing to do, and I didn't have the option to appeal to her logic and explain how it was in our self-interest to do it
I loved Bishop too for all the snarky and screwed up things he had to say.
Often it's the nice characters who annoy me, or rather, bore me. For instance, I'd hang out with Morrigan over Leliana any day.

I might find Fenris annoying if he's the overbearingly lawful good type, but not if he's somehow evil and bad-tempered or something. I like playing my PCs as good-natured, chaotic good types, so that usually makes my them great foils for the evil-ish or morally ambiguous NPCs.

This. I would not like this at all.

Sad thing was that Bishop was my favorite from NWN2 OC. He was the only one (up until he decided to betray the PC) that I wasn't about to attempt to stick my hands through the screen and throttle. Besides Khelgar and Ammon Jerro-- I have no idea why I didn't want to kill the dwarf. Ammon was because he was just... cool. Neeshka's voice was grating, Elanee was a annoying tree hugger that gave druids a bad name, Grobnar just needed to be drop-kicked, Sand had a stick way too far up his rear, Qara complained too much for her own good, Zheejave was literally a "know" it all, and Casivir had only about three words in his vocabulary: "Old Owl Well". I don't remember a dialogue where Casivir did not say "Old Owl Well" somewhere in it. I was HAPPY at the end of the game (because my alignment had switched from neutral to evil by the time I got there) that I could join KOS and kill everyone (I felt slight remorse about killing Jerro and Khelgar, but killing the three-word-vocabulary and the drop-kicking practice dummy made up for it and then some).

MotB was much better-- I didn't want to kill them.


Hopefully, Fenris doesn't turn out like ANY of the NWN2 OC cast though. They all scared the crap out of me. I was tempted to play it by poking the keyboard and the mouse with a stick.
