My other Fenris romance (the one that I'm referring to when I jokingly say that I've romanced Fenris 1.5 times) is a rivalmance with my female mage hawke, and is the only "love hate" relationship I've ever played in an RPG. In my 'canon' run with her, she ends up with Isabella, but in my headcanon, she, Izzy, and Fenris form a polyamorous triad and sail off together. She thinks that Fenris is bigoted and misguided, but she refuses to abandon him or give up on him. Still, she's definitely a ton harsher and more dominant than her male counterpart.
I'm pretty big into messing with normal gender roles to start, though.

I feel the same! I dunno why... maybe its because male Hawke is just so manly and buff and.. well, to be honest, he just doesn't look (or act) gay. I can totally see Anders being gay, but not male Hawke (at least not the ones I've seen so far). Fem Hawke and Fenris seem to be very suitable for one another (that is not to say that Fenris is feminine-- faaaar from it). The relationship just seems right that way. I really don't see Fenris being into men, but that's just my opinion, which really counts for nothing. (but really, can you see Alistair being into men? I certainly cant. That's how I see Fenris).
Don't make me come after you with my don't sign. The amount of metrosexuality or "manliness" coming off someone doesn't predestine their sexuality. *rants about gay rights and other things for awhile, looks back and deletes cause not the place and doubts any offense was meant* I'll just soothe my rabid and supressed inner gay man/lesbian and stuff it back in the box for when I run in to a person from Westboro Baptist Church or another member of the KKK, cause man do they ****** me off and arguments go nuts once they stop spouting scripture at you and fall right in to "well obviously you are also going to hell and the devil speaks through you."
Plus, all my Hawkes are versatile, Fenris' personality and past in my mind makes him seem less welcome to more submissive roles, even in the bedroom. Unless their role playing... then all bets ae off.
CCG: I believe that my fave pairing above even MHawke/Fenris is a relationsip between Hawke/Fenris/Isabela and occasionally Zevran (if he isn't taken by my warden... and sometimes even if he is. ) thrown in for giggles. I am safe in assuming it is also Isabelas faveorite pairing.

Watch the new Assassins Creed preview, and then listen to Woodkids 'Iron' over and over again. Tis muse jumping and fun.
Thanks!
LOL - Love AC! (It's all the flipping around like a monkey and stabbing unsuspecting baddies - Like a murderous monkey on meth!)
And 'Iron' - the first time I heard it I'm like ''Must find this song! Must find it!'' I was like a musical Gollum.

I'm sort of similar, when I was four or something my parents and my aunt and uncle took me, my sister and my cousins to the zoo - we loved it.
Untill we got to the gorilla's.
Little me lost the plot....Beyond tantrum and into full terrified hysterics. They all had to take a turn with me away from the gorillas so everyone else could see them.
To this day (around 20 years later) I still don't know what set me off....

Funny how some of you here have never played using a Female Hawke, despite you being female yourselves! I have never played with a male Hawke (or any male character in Origins) because DA is one of the few RPGs that actually allows you to play as a female. And seeing a female beat up the Arishok in single combat, kick some carta and dragon ass AND beat the crap out of abominations and blood mages (and bronze statues and crazed Knight Commanders) reeallllyyy gives me a sense of empowerment. Its like "HELL YEAH, I'm a GIRL, AND I can KICK your ass!" (yes, yes, I'm a feminist).
You know this interests me because it got me thinking, Bioware games are really the only ones I always choose to be female, but I think that is just because of the simple fact I don't play many other RPG's because I've been spoilt with them in allowing us to choose our gender. In an rpg I think it is vital we connect with our characters, and naturally I connect with a female a lot more easily. In terms of other games however...
Well let's just say in something like Assassin's creed I'd always prefer being a male over female, not sure why, it just seems to make more sense.

Lol, I know my cause, I was standing too close to a cage and I kept my long hair in a braid and the wretched thing reached through and grabbed my braid, only lightly tugged the first couple times, I thought my mom was trying to get my attention. then the evil little bastard yanked my head right into the fence a couple times. My mom freed me, once she was done laughing her ass off, it is now an amusing story my family tells, and I continue to be terrified of monkeys.
Night Dreams (Lol, never just glance at the DP before responding.): I always connect better with males. I have a few friends (I don't believe in maintaining relationships so I literally have maybe three good friends and that all I want, I enjoy my alone time and three are high maitenance enough) and the male is my fave as far as hanging out goes. Girls talk a lot. I don't, I am sure others don't as well but in my experience with my gender girls talk a lot. I hate hearing "whats new?" Nothing, I saw you a week ago. Never hear that from my male friend, just... "Hey, wanna chill." Then game playing or listening to him go on about conspiracy theories where my only contribution is to nod, plus I am super sarcastic and tend to offend the females a lot more.
This isn't to say I am one of the boys, I am pretty girly, I am also easily bored, I want to hang out with someone who doesn't get hurt when I get up randomly and say I am going home to play DA or something, or females that do the much hated "I'm bored, I'm coming over" To which my inner response is, I am playing a game/reading a book and you want to come over and bore me too. You suck. So yah I relate more to male characters for whatever reason, plus MHawke is so nicely voiced.

I said this once in an earlier post, but I'll say it again to clarify things:I definitely don't think that all gay people have to be flamboyant and effiminate. One of my best friends is gay, and he's the manliest man I've ever met! You'd NEVER be able to tell in a million years.
I have absolutely nothing against gay people (see above for best friend's sexual orientation) and upon reflection, my initial post was worded wrongly. I apologise if I offended anyone by posting that. I assure you, that was not my intention at all. What I meant to say was, the way I see the default make Hawke, he just comes across (to me)
as a guy who'd prefer Isabela over Fenris, if you catch my drift. That is just my very humble opinion. Its the way my brain plays things out, I guess. But, having said that, the best fenris fanfics have been the steamy romances with male Hawkes, so I'm obviously not averse to such a relationship (I find it downright sexy, actually!)
Once again, I sincerely apologise to anyone who was offended by my post. I'll think about wording my words carefully the next time I touch on such a topic^_^

Ok no it didn't, but it remains my favourite DA2 romance ever. Nothing can top it for me, I love the dynamic, the way Fenris looks with my Hawke and the protective/possessive vibes I get from some of Fenris' dialogue towards him.
On that topic I did a new picture of Marric Hawke and Fenris behind the link for suggestive-ness

I adore Fenris with Hawke. Either gender. Especially since Anders is that I love you forever guy. I am such a sucker for two boys who continually fight over a
Also, Fenris totally doesn't work as that I love you forever guy, because he's not that kind of person. He's got the broody and the sexy down.. but, at the end of the day, he'll get over Hawke and move on... and Anders never does. Which is why, despite the fact that Anders is totally a Stefan and Fenris is absolutely a Damon, at the end of the day, their roles have to be reversed.
Yep.
I REGRET NOTHING.

Anyways what was I going to say... Oh right. About my post earlier I meant that whole "gays take offense to the flamboyant thing" as more of a general statement not so much worded at you Solona. Just a general observation with my opinion and such tacked on.
Where are our TOPS!? -- People.. the rule goes.. if your post is TOP.. you post a Fenris. It's like.. the RULE. So Fenris is always on the page.. no matter what. Reminds us why we are here, and.. it's pretty. /rant
Glad my suggestions helped Tash! Hope to see the new chapter soon. I'm way too tired at the moment to read a fic though, and more work again tonight. *sigh*
Hi Eudaemonium! -- You do know that line is said on both rivalry and friendmance? His response to the dialogue where Hawke goes "I can help with your problems.. or perhaps give you a few more" is different on the rivalmance -- he will go "more than you usually do?" and do that fantastic annoyed arm cross. In friendmance he just jokes back with you saying "only a few?"
Still, there are some fantastic differences on the rivalmance that I have come to love. Even though friendmance will always be my favorite.
I've done it all.. sociopath Hawke, Sweet Hawke, Snarky Hawke, diplo Hawke, snarky/aggro Hawke, and aggro BAMF Hawke. -- All with Fenris romances, muahaha. I am a sad, sad individual... *sigh* IREGRETNOTHING!!
Rei... beautiful pic as always. I think your getting better actually! I see your style evolving and getting better. You are practically pro at Fenris and Marric now, LOL.

Back on topic... that pic. *drool* I love Fenris paired with Hawke, full stop. However, I prefer romancing him with F!Hawke, but prefer reading M!Hawke/Fenris, for some weird reason. I have exceptions to those rules, at least. <3
Random thought of the day: I think I prefer Fenris to Anders because Anders comes across as rather clingy to me, and I have to have breathing space. Fenris, at least, would understand that and still be affectionate.

Hi Arquen! Ah, I have yet to do a Fenris friendmance, though I had him on the friend path when I romanced Isabela - also with a Mage Hawke (I like playing mages, what can I say). Thus I do not really know which lines change and which don't, just that that one was one of my favourites from it (and always stuck with me). The final kiss and lines before the last fight are also amazing.
As a note, I know some of the flirt lines Hawke says change depending on his/her personality. Do you know how many in the late stages of te Fenris romance do so. I'm not sure if it's only the early ones.

I love your first pic cause...yumm. Love the way you draw Fen, it's all soft lines, make me want to hug him. I am really interested in seeing the continuation of the comic as well, if you have plans for it.
Rivalmance was okay, not nearly as satisfying as I thought. Although when you snark at Fenris you get some great lines back. I have actually never liked the, "while I am an apostate refugee...ect." line because to me it always felt like trying to one up the person.
Which actually brings me to my biggest peeve of all in the game, after Leandra dies and almost every companion if you don't watch you words closely, will say something along the lines of "At least you knew your mother." makes me flail. I want the option for Hawke to say, "Yes because never knowing your mother is anything like being loved and cared for, 28(?) years and then finding that person chopped up in a basment. Can we not make this about you for two seconds?"
Arcane_Solona: I'm really sorry, I wasn't offended or anything, I latch onto moments or opportunities that I can discuss what I am passionate about and or debate, I love debate... when I know what I'm talking about.
