Hopefully, Fenris doesn't turn out like ANY of the NWN2 OC cast though. They all scared the crap out of me. I was tempted to play it by poking the keyboard and the mouse with a stick.

I wasn't annoyed by Alistair or Zevran, so I don't think Fenris will be annoying. The only annoying male love interest by David I recall is Anomen. He was constantly bragging about his prowess (and upset if you accused him of exaggeration), had a nasally voice, and was condescending to everyone, including you if you mentioned your exploits. I could not tell what was supposed to be attractive about him.
I liked Anomen... for exactly those
reasons... He was such a "real" character... in the end he was just
totally lost but wouldn´t admit it. He wanted to be good and righteous and
failed every time, lol... I liked him because he tried really hard.

He was also very easy to ****** off, and multiple party members provoked him with ease. I do not find prickly, incredibly insecure, prideful hot-heads attractive. I think I would much prefer a broody sort who didn't need my flattery.

I thought those features made him a fleshed-out character, but not one I'd want to romance.

You like your men a little bit more low-key and not crazy?
I can agree with you so very much on this.

Oh, I would love to have an utterly insane companion. Though, I would prefer it if Fenris still had some of his marbles left. :innocent:

It's amazing how a pencil and a piece of paper can do, when you are nowhere near a computer

I suspect Fenris won't be wholly sane because of the trauma he's endured. I think he's going to have some "issues". But he's stoic, so he's dealing them privately and as best he can.

mean I would prefer that... but in BG2 it is not like there was much to pick
from. All I am saying is that the completion of the romance left a fuzzy
feeling inside contrary to others. I tried other romances like Carth, Atton
(not sure if that was a romance...), Kaidan, Garrus, Casivir, Alistair and
Zevran and I liked many of them... some more than others. For example: Garrus
felt meh... but with Anomen you actually get somewhere and the relation is
important.
Of course
it is all my humble opinion and I know many people differ
*oh... and I
am still trying out some endings with Alistair which is another LI I really
like... so far I just got ...
Edited bc of spoilers

I really don't care if Fenris is Bi or straight, but I would like him to be a little bit harder to crack like Alistair was. It was much more fun. Also I think he shouldn't be a fling like Zevran was, but a character that you intended to have with you in the Epilogue.
Agreed. Harder to crack open to make the relationship a little bit more worth having. Not a fling so it's nice and sweet and tasty and makes to harder to crack open part totally worth it.
Sort of like a pomegranate. Hmm, I should stop comparing Fen to a fairly pink and red fruit...
But they're so good!
I have one of those in the fridge. Excuse me.

Unfortunately, I haven't played BG, so I don't know about that.

That's actually not my preferred body type for men but I still would like to see a Varric romance because he's just that awesome. Personality counts for a lot.
Sometimes I do wonder, and I hope this is not considered an argument-starter, how many people here would still like Fenris, if his personality was so horrible and/or annoying, that there is very little that redeems it.
`The entire appeal of Fenris at this point is that he has whatever personality you wish.

Au contraire. He's anything you want him to be *and he's hot*.
But no, if I found his personality distasteful I would not end up liking him very much no matter what he looked like. I've liked most of the Bioware companions I've encountered so far (have not played NWN at all), however, so chances are good that I'll end up liking Fen too.

I still want to know if David Gaider meant stoic in the classical, technical sense or stoic in the vague, modern sense.
Gonna guess the latter but perhaps he'll pop in and clarify.

I haven't had a chance play NWN. NWN2 I did play-- BioWare didn't do NWN2 (so I don't blame them), Obsidian did. The only reason BioWare is attributed to NWN2 is because Obsidian took the toolset.

I never played NWN2 either, actually.
Ah, no one really cares. Only reason I sort of still have it is because I liked Mask of the Betrayer for it's story and enjoyed Storm of Zehir, and there is a player-made campaign on the NWN2 vault that I was told is worth the time of playing more then once (but I keep lacking to go grab and play).
Anyway, time to get back on subject!
Tankgirly, your art is awesome!
