Indeed.
Show yourself out, if you don't like this. No one force you to stay.

Been gone for awhile. I am trying to push through a AC: B playthrough before Revelations comes out. *so excited*. (though I am trying to get a 100% sync, and uhg... hard for the Leonardos Machines quests.) I really should push through a couple DA:2 playthroughs for Mark of the Assassin too. At least my Canon Hawke. Poor Fenris hasn't been getting any love.

Straight from the t.v. with a finicky camera:

I really hate the face tattos in DA, with the exception of on Dalish and on Castless dwarves.

Oooooo such pretty pics. That Hawke with the red hair is featured in a couple comics too. She is quite the hardcore biatch lol. I like her, she reminds me of my rivalmage Hawke.
Working again, it sucks. Popping in to appreciate the lovelies and see my fellow Fenris fans.
Ill add the song to the playlist when I get home.. also.. playlist is ALWAYS open to suggestions. Lately I've been listening to "Rectifier." Makes me think of Fenris's struggles with Hawke and how he sees the maker - "he didn't help me much, either."
I love having Seb around just to pull out those banters.

While out on my daily run in the park today, a thought occurred to me: I have no idea how old Fenris is. When we first meet him in Act 1, how old is he? I always assumed he was around Hawke's age, around 26 or 27. Anyone know for sure?
I think we debated this about 1000 pages back, which leads to if those elves in Dragon Age Universe were living as long as those in LOTR. At the end, no one knows, I am afraid.

Well, no one but David Gaider, that is. Oh TGB, grace us with your presence and give us the answer!
Sigh. I'll just have to keep on imagining he's around the same age as Hawke. Makes sense, anyway. He's definitely young; Flemeth calls him a " curious lad" when she meets him in Sundermount, and "lad" clearly implies youth.

edit: in comparison to Flemeth, probably mostly everybody would be a "lad" (or a "lass" xD)

Hmmm... good point! Because she's what, centuries old or something. But still... he seems quite young to me. Mid twenties in Act 1 and possibly Act 2. Wouldn't it be strange if he turned out to be younger than Hawke? Like, Hawke was 26 after that 1 year of servitude was over (I think Gamlen or someone mentioned Leandra leaving for Ferelden while pregnant or something 25 years ago, hence the age I came up with), so what if Fenris was like... 22 or 23 when they first met? Gahhhh, now I'm going to drive myself crazy thinking about this. I'll have a look at the link you gave me and shut up:P

Fenris in particular has the lyrium working against him too. It no doubt took a few years off.
Im going with early to mid 30's. Just based on appearance and mannerism though. If elves do age slower though he might be much older and look younger. Its impossible to know though since he can't remember his childhood.
How terrible. Having never been a child. Unable to remember what the world felt like back then.

Not to mention memory wipe that pretty much killed whatever he knew about his birth and age. He actually looks closer to 30's. He has some creases on his face that indicate age. Being a city elf I don't think he would have Dalish longevity. It is debatable whether city elves naturally live longer or age slower than humans. Im inclined to believe they might physically age slower, but their long lives are not like the Dalish and probably closer to humans.

The mannerisms always made me feel that he was older as well, early 30's, but then he is a very mature, wise and serious kind of person, so he may be mature well beyond his years. I mean, I'm 19 and people always find that soooo difficult to believe because apparently, I'm very "mature" in terms of mannerisms and the way I carry myself. Plus, people who have been through a lot of hardship in their lives always tend to be more mature than everyone else, so he could be younger than he seems.
About the facial creases and all, stress can do that to you, and his life wasn't exactly stress-free while he was a slave and even while he was on the run. Plus the ritual and the lyrium could be taking a toll, like you said. I really don't know...
