There's a guy in my office. I swore he was younger than me, one of those savants. I was surprised when he got tapped for management, because I thought he was like 24.

Turns out he's 35. He's been in the industry for over a decade. He was a freaking creative director before this. Let's just say I believe Fenris might be late thirties by the end of the game. (My calculations above are the minimum age I'd estimate given the clues.) Also, do you remember how Michael J Fox looked when he was 40? Keanu Reeves is FORTY SEVEN now. Just google a recent photo of him... it literally looks like he grew a beard so he would finally stop getting carded.

Here's the only Fenris I can safely locate from work.

Also to be noted: we meet Fenris at year 2ish of 10, I think? And we last see him at year 7-8ish. So "end of game" can vary by a few years, depending on whether you're picturing them off-camera during Varric's story, or when they're actively running off.

This is true.  Those extra years at the end can throw a person off.  But I still see him as about 35 when Varric is talking which would make him 32-33 at the end battle.  But that's just how I saw it.

Oh, I wasn't contradicting. I just feel that he's more like 27-28 when we meet him, and 35 when we last see our heroes in game (at least). I might actually go a year or two older, depending.

Oh, that's the first time I see what a dark Carver looks like! I only found out that your family's physical traits change depending on what your Hawke looks like. I think that's amazing (and of course, very, very sensible). I hated how in Origins, if my Cousland was tanned and brazilian-looking, the rest of her family were still white and blue-eyed. Looked like she was adopted from some refugee camp!

My main Hawke (default name Marian due to xbox glitch) - she is a diplomatic mage that rivalmanced Fenris, she idolized the Dalish (hense the hair and facial tattoos, plus DAO import was my main warden, white haired mage elf).  @AbsoluteApril I LOVE your Hawke!!! She looks so much like Fenris!!! Their hairstyles are identical at the front! And I love how she's got the Dalish tattoos because she idolises them; a very real and human thing to do. 
I think I'm gonna use your Hawke's hair as a reference and run off to the Black Emporium to have a little makeover!  (My Hawke is currently a lighter, green-eyed version of Cassandra, because I find that Orlesian Seeker HOT).

Sooo.. many.. beautiful... pics....

I saw that puzzle (MotA pic) being put together. When I saw Fenris on it I was like -- "well.. crap.. that sells it. First day.. sign me up. Bioware you own my soul! Dammit!"

Going back to the age thing a sec -- I like my second calculation better. Also adding in the factors that CGG said you can guestimate that he was 34-35 in the battle with Meredith. Sounds about right to me. I like it. I'm stickin with it until I hear otherwise lol.

Marric! -- I've missed him Rei! Blah now I want to post pics of my Hawke and join the party too!

April I love your Hawke -- that white hair... I tried a white hair Hawke and I could never get her to look right. Ended up changing it to black. Also, I've never put tattoos on my Hawkes.

I'm not a fan of the Dalish (I know -- dread wolf take me!), and my Hawkes are always less tats and more "deceptively evil" -- especially my rivalmage. She is beautiful, but so, so, cold and cruel. My warrior coincidentally is snarky and broken, but looks evil and tough. LOL.

I don't know.. most elves age well. Even Marethari and Orsino look "young" for their age. If they live longer im inclined to believe they do age slower. Or at the very least they age well and don't look as old as they are. Even Feynriels mother looks young though she seems to show her age more than most.

It's kind of hard to tell because of the redesign. DA2 elves have larger eyes in general, and bigger heads, and the men don't have any facial hair, even stubble, and both men and women have extremely slight builds. They don't have what most people think of as age signifiers. Both Marethari and Merrill looked much older in the Dalish origin story; now Merrill looks like she's about 14. 

The one elf who looks older in DA2, oddly, is Zevran, who really looks like he's been through hell in the past 6 years.
