And I finally got to play MoA! Just finished it right now, and Maker, was it hilarious! There were parts that my humorous Hawke said that made me burst out laughing for several minutes on end! Picking the humorous dialogue is the BEST in this DLC. This was seriously a very funny, very light (well, at least 90% of it) and very exciting DLC. Worth every cent. I was a bit disappointed with Legacy, but with that Fenris dialogue when he says you frightened him when he thought he couldn't save you... wow... just wow. That just sent shivers down my spine. The genuine concern and raw emotion in his voice... LOVE it.

Can't wait to play it all over again!

And Tallis is awesome!! I chose to follow her on this playthrough... don't know if I'd ever choose not to follow her. Where's the fun in that?

PS: DanaDuchy has been my hero for the past three months. I can't believe so many MoA videos are up already! And with all the different options!

Must say I liked Legacy more than MotA, though Fenris was very sweet with his ' you scared me' banter and I loved the fact that he gets annoyed when you flirt with Tallis.
The sneaky part was annoying, Hawke moved very slow and some guards seemed to have radar. That entire part of the game made little sense when you fought your way through, because you are left with Tallis (where are Fenris and party member number 4?). Anyway, the DLC was okay, the new enemies were interesting and the end battle was well made.

I'm still not sure if I'm going for a rivalmance with my new mage or that I will friendmance Anders for a change. Thanks to the fun of metagaming I know what Anders is up to, so I'm not really in the mood to romance him, knowing I will kill him at the end of the game. Much saver (and more satisfying) to romance Fenris (again). xD

Yay!!

I play on the 360, and I have to admit that the controller is much more intuitive than playing on the PC.  I downloaded Origins (even though I already have played on 360 about 8s) and find it so cumbersome to play on the PC!!

Anyway, off to play DA2 with my aggressive warrior....

Just completed MotA, Fenris dialogue was awesome, especially the one about a husband. Loved it. I kept flirting with Tallis to make Fenris comment.

Was really impressed with the areas and looks for other PC's.

I'd give it a B- overall, B if I'm feeling really generous. It wasn't bad or anything, but there were too many leaps of logic I had to make. I flirted with Tallis only to get the Fenris dialogue, which was weird because I find her creepy-looking and my Hawke is a Kinsey 6. I never felt like I knew why I was there in the first place, and why I didn't say, "Yeah, sorry--not my problem" and stay in Kirkwall where the wyvern poop was about to hit the fan.

The additional lore on the Qunari was nice to have...except that once again, playing a mage makes no sense. When Tallis was talking about how awesome the Qun is, I wanted the option to say, "That's nice, but personally, I have issues with having my mouth and eyes sewn shut."

Also, why was Carver there? I can't really see Meredith or Cullen giving him the okay to leave Kirkwall to go to a party.

F: Even dragons are eventually slain, Hawke.

My Hawke is diplomatic/sweet, so the conversation played out slightly differently.  When Fenris made that ridiculous suggestion of keeping his head low, Hawke said, in a gentle voice, "And how has that worked out for you, Fenris?"  Fenris was silent for a moment, then just went: ".... Hmph."

I was totally d'awwwing.

(Is double posting okay in this forum?)

By the way, I took Fenris and Anders in my first playthrough. Any suggestions on who I should take next? I mean, OF COURSE I'll be taking the Fenmeister again <3 But who should my second person be? I was thinking Isabela because she's like my Hawke's BFF.

I just got my Fenris shirt from the States today!! The glorious "I have a thing for tortured, broody elves" Ahhhh, now I'm gonna practically live in it! I purposely ordered it in green, you know, because of Fenris' eyes. Sorry for the utter irrelevance of this post; I'm just in love with the T shirt! :P And now everyone at law school is going to go like "what on earth does your shirt mean?" And I'll never clarify! Muahahaha:devil: I got another one with the Hanged Man on it, and now I'm gonna wear it to taverns. Makes perfect sense to me;) Except... I don't drink so, its kind of beside the point but, whatever!^_^

So far I've taken Fenris and Aveline, Fenris and Anders (omg lol), and Fenris and Varric (Ohhh varric..).

I enjoyed taking Aveline for her personal quest. Next I think ill take carver, and OMG was dying on my snarky warrior PT. She was a perfect partner in crime to Tallis. Though, she is slightly insane anyways.

I had a different dialogue tree on my aggro mage also on that one. The personality types actually do come into play quite a bit in this one. I like that.

Fenris at the end scene ... <3

Oi. I may have to break down and buy MotA. Missed Legacy. Posted Image So far, everyone seems to be saying it's worth it.
Out of curiosity, how much dialogue/bantering does Fenris have throughout the whole thing?

...off-topic-ish, but this is the first time in MONTHS that I don't have some Fenris picture I'm working on. Posted Image it feels so strange...

Lol how is that off topic Tealsie :P... actually overall he doesn't have many banters, but no more or less than the other companions. The dialogue he does have is SO worth it though. Plus just the whole loll factors in the dlc in general. I liked legacy but without Fenris's banter firing it felt quiet.. with very few dialogue cutscenes. This one feels more fleshed out with short scatterings of cutscene and hilarious on the road banters.

He doesn't have that much, but whatever he does have is really nice. Well, I'm saying that from a romance stance. I don't know how he is if he isn't romancing your Hawke.

Its a really fun and different take on things, I really think you should get it! Its very light and jolly, especially if you're playing with a humorous Hawke. Plus its a good 4 hours or so of play.

Hey... random question. Was thinking of replaying legacy since im in a dlc mood. Who should I take that doesn't override Fenris's dialogue? It has been so long I can't remember.. I know Anders and your sibling do, but does Varric? Don't want to risk it with Izzy and I only had Seb on one PT. Kinda leaves Merrill or Aveline :/

I can't remember either. :( The only ones I had over ride a romanced Fen were Anders and Carver I think.

*sigh* I have been playing for the last day or so trying to get my femDW romanced to Iz done, so that I can do the DLC and once I did, I felt wrong not being there with Fen :'(

I took Izzy and Aveline and it was very lack-luster. So now if I have the drive I will hopefully bring through my sw/sh Warrior with a rivalmanced Fenris and see if that changes the dlc a bit.

Can't decide whether to do snark or Aggro. I love some of the snark lines with Fen in the DLC but I love some of the aggro to, I did Aggro female but it wasn't the same. Izzy doesn't respond well to aggressive like Fen does. Meh, I have my Snark!Mage, night as well do either Aggro or Diplo. I really hate diplo Hawke though. *yawn*

The "You frightened me" dialogue inspired this little doodle of my Marric Hawke and Fenris (Marric's a big softie under all the snark and derp)

Lol... when that banter came up Gwenya would have totally initiated some PDA saying "Don't worry about me. I'm not that easy to cage, remember? Besides, I know you will always watch my back *wink*" and going in for a lightning quick hug/kiss.

Simultaneously making them both uncomfortable, but saying what needed to be said, and doing what she felt for once no matter what he thought. Probably something like "Hawke!?" And Gwenya being like "It needed to be done."

@Arcane_Solona Thank you! I draw on computer using a tablet, the program I use is Paint Tool Sai, very good for sketching.

@Arquen hearing Fenris frightened for Hawke is very hug inducing! Reminds me of a Pushing Daisies line "Sometimes you just need a hug. It's like a Heimlich for the heart." sounds like something Marric would say XP

Hmph."

I actually heard that really differently on my diplo Hawke - after the head low line:

Hawke: "That sounds like a way to go through life without ever knowing anyone."
Fenris: "I . .. suppose so."   in this really down voice.
Hawke: "And how has that worked out for you, Fenris?"
Fenris: [grunt]

But I didn't hear the tone on the "And how has that worked out for you . . ." line as gentle, I heard it as mocking, quite honestly.  I was amazed that my diplo Hawke would prod Fenris like that.  Difference in tone interpretation, I guess, but that's how it sounded to me.

My face was :o  and I was like "How mean, Hawke!"  Not that Fenris might not have deserved it a bit, since it was Act II post-night together, but still.

Speaking of which, I don't know if anyone's mentioned this or not, but if you do MoTA during Act II after sleeping with Fenris, when you click on him, he says "It is always good to be at your side."  Awwwww.  Plus, he still does his possessive lines at Tallis when you flirt with her.  Good way for an RPed Hawke to realize Fenris  really does care, he's just having troubles dealing with it, maybe?  XD

EDIT: . . . where did that stray word come from . . . ?  Heh.

That banter is different for each personality type.

I love how it goes on aggressive Hawke. I think it's my favorite.

Fenris: You are too willing to involve yourself in the affairs of others, Hawke. Each time you put yourself at risk. One day you will not be so lucky.

Hawke: you have a better idea?

Fenris: Guard what you have. Keep your head low.

Hawke: Without risk, there is no reward.

Fenris: Perhaps. One day you may simply end up being rewarded with a blade in the back.

Hawke: Not your blade, however.

Fenris: Not my blade, no (with a chuckle)

oohh, Innuendo for the WIN *eyebrow waggle.*

Ahh, I never got that dialogue.  But all the banters were great! It was a nice DLC.
