I'd give it a B- overall, B if I'm feeling really generous. It wasn't bad or anything, but there were too many leaps of logic I had to make. I flirted with Tallis only to get the Fenris dialogue, which was weird because I find her creepy-looking and my Hawke is a Kinsey 6. I never felt like I knew why I was there in the first place, and why I didn't say, "Yeah, sorry--not my problem" and stay in Kirkwall where the wyvern poop was about to hit the fan.

The additional lore on the Qunari was nice to have...except that once again, playing a mage makes no sense. When Tallis was talking about how awesome the Qun is, I wanted the option to say, "That's nice, but personally, I have issues with having my mouth and eyes sewn shut."

Also, why was Carver there? I can't really see Meredith or Cullen giving him the okay to leave Kirkwall to go to a party.

I had several of the same problems. Why would Carver or Bethany be there? I never really got my Hawke should want to go to this party and steal the gem for a stranger but I rolled with it since that was the only way to play.  It just wasn't a strong hook unlike Legacy.  The Qun lore was nice.  But I wanted to respond a little stronger to Tallis' rhetoric.  The understatement line was ....well too understated..:D and not even trying to get the scroll (if I helped her...I split the decision so far) was lame.  It should have been a little more interesting ... I don't know like a small fight and Tallis disappearing or something like that, not Hawke saying oh okay then.  But overall it was a good DLC.  It was fun to play and as Merrill would say it was nice to get out of Kirkwall.

I love how it goes on aggressive Hawke. I think it's my favorite.

Fenris: You are too willing to involve yourself in the affairs of others, Hawke. Each time you put yourself at risk. One day you will not be so lucky.

Hawke: you have a better idea?

Fenris: Guard what you have. Keep your head low.

Hawke: Without risk, there is no reward.

Fenris: Perhaps. One day you may simply end up being rewarded with a blade in the back.

Hawke: Not your blade, however.

Fenris: Not my blade, no (with a chuckle)

oohh, Innuendo for the WIN *eyebrow waggle.*

I didn't get this dialogue :crying: When or how is it triggered, I got pretty much every line as well!

I got 2 other versions of this dialogue (snarky Hawke and diplo Hawke get something different), so I assume this was with an agressive Hawke?
Anyway, I got these 2 dialogues when the party walked from the area where the dragons were towards the area where the blood pool was.

Haven't heard the husband dialogue, what's it about?

There's a point where Talis asks Hawke if she's married."I was just wondering if there was a king for this throne" or some such, and Fenris says "Good question" or something along those lines in a tone that sugests that he would happily apply for the job.. and Hawke's all "Right, yes, lets keep moving!"

It would make even less sense for a Circle Bethany to be there than for a Templar Carver.

I pretty much agree with the above assessments. The banter and humour were, for me, the best things about MotA. The sneaking into the castle bit was quite entertaining, but the dialogue was still the best part. Fenris + Anders, in particular, are comedy gold together. Not that I've finished it with any other combinations (tried Anders + Aveline, but ditched it halfway through), but that one was particularly good. Other memorable moments were Prosper's "the priiize" and Hawke's Horatio Caine impression.

Story-wise though...I also feel like Hawke wasn't given enough options to respond during all the discussions about qunari. Most of the time, I simply had to roll with the "no opinion" or "I'm not getting involved" options. And I thoroughly disliked Tallis. I just couldn't get past the fact that she's essentially a fan insert. Trying wayyy too hard to be awesome, charming, quirky, funny and insightful at the same time.

Oh my... total innuendo! This version is much better than the one with a humorous Hawke!

wait.. what? I didn't see any special end scene or even any special anything with Fenris at the end. Please elaborate... or did you mean when he finds Hawke/Tallis again? Did I miss some special fen moment?

Substitute that last line for "We shall see" in rivalry. Turns innuendo into potentially ominous foreshadowing. Brrrr... I like diplomatic version best. I love how Hawke turns it around on him. He offers advice. Hawke offers counter-advice. Both are right after all. It's just a matter of personal preference.

Fenris at the end scene with the duke "they never learn..." I lmao.

Also, the "just keep your distance." Flirt line at the end.

I don't think rivalry has much difference, but in my rivalmance Fen totally trolled me on the retreat flirt.

Tallis: *laugh* I guess everything they say about you is true (after the I feel so close to you flirt)

Fenris: Evidently *glare*

I went.. dude.. harsh.. but so what I would have said. I didn't get the "king" dialogue. I got that one instead. I also got a great Fenris moment at the introductions cutscene when I brought izzy, Fenris and varric. Isabela is all "I would" in response to Tallis stealing from Orlesians and Fenris goes "that's our Isabela. Such a giver." I totally choked on my tea. Almost died.

So gonna replay again.. 5 times woot!

I like Tallis, but I talked about all that in her thread. Im not loving her.

Carver and Beth do make little sense after act 1. I just have to assume they happened to have some time or privilege to leave and go on a "family business" mission. I doubt it would be "to go to a party."

EXCITING NEWS! My SOH managed to get the disk out of my dead xBox. Apparently all we had to do is plug the controller in to switch it on. However, the console is sill acting funny. So for the save side, better not play anything in that machine again.

Besides, it's Wales v. s. France on World Cup Rugby tonight. Men owns the tele, can't play anything.

So now Carver/Bethany, Anders has gotten his DLC props, and Varric and Isabela too. Please let Fen be next. I mean that would be nice. A little gift for us traumatized Fenris fans, heartbroken from DLC past. "Psst Fenris... give them the puppy eyes, that should make them do it."

Oooooo that portrait. I haven't seen it in a long time. So well done.

I don't know if MOTA was anyone's dlc but there should be a dlc with some Fenris specific quests and content. Maybe outside Tevinter? Or something to do with Tevinter Magisters. Hee.

I found it by looking up Fenris puppy eyes on Deviant. Apparently I just have to be specific but there is literally nothing Fenris fans havent drawn.

Lol yah maybe, I replayed Legacy the other day, cause I am awesome... and addicted. And I got Fenris practically drooling at the thought of wiping the floor with Cory. So I imagine the closer we get to Tevinter, the more he starts up with the rage shakes, by the time we get there he'll fursplode into a white wolf and kill Edward, I mean the Volturi, I mean... mages.

I posted something about this on the MEG facebook page.

So far we got:
Legacy - Sibling and Anders special
MotA - Isabela and Aveline special

Only ones missing are Merrill and Fenris, so I'm really hoping for something related to elves (like Arlathan), I know that would be more about Merrill ofcourse, but it's the only thing I can think of that could be sort of interesting to both of them.
Someone posted a while back (not this thread) a theory about the Primeval Thaig being part of Arlathan, and Gaider was kinda vague about it... or I'm reading too much into his response, as usual. xD
Could be interesting to get a DLC about that I guess.. or maybe just a Fenris specific DLC. that would be better for us. but I don't think they will do that because people who dislike Fenris probably won't buy it, so combining it with Merrill might be a good idea. I'll stop rambling now. v.v'

That could be interesing.  I hope Fenris and Merrill get a DLC where they get a little more interactions.  The mini quest with Isabela was good.  I actually thougt Fenris would get a little more in this one because of his knowledge of the Qun.

I loved MotA.
If I flirt with Tallis all the way, will Fenris break up with me?

Btw, is Fenris unpopulair, since he doesn´t really get anything extra in the DLCs like mentioned here... since it seems its the girls who enjoy him. And Im guessing we are a small precentage of the total players...

no, Fenris won't break up with you -- just a little possessive/jealous banters. I am waaayy too tired to be posting, but I can't sleep yet -- not at home.

20+ hours and counting... LOL.

I would like to see an "elven" DLC -- Fenris mentions about the Arlathvenn happening soon, but that would be more Merrill's thing. Plus I can't see a reason for Hawke to actually go there and any DLC will have to be centered around Hawke.

Honestly I think the best bet is something with Tevinter. That could resound with a lot of the companions -- Isabela, Anders, and even Merrill would be interested. Yet it definitely could feature specific Fenris content without leaving the others completely in the dark. Much like the other 2 DLCs had specific content without leaving people out (except Fenris of course, but DAMN YOU BUGS!)

Anyways.. just checking in the thread *skips off in a delirious lack of sleep daze*

I have a similar issue. Do I have to pick every flirt option with Tallis to get the Bulk of Fenris' Dialogue? My diplo/friendmance Zelda waits in anticipation.:innocent:

Fenris has quite a few banters, but his "jealousy" LI banter is centered around flirting with Tallis. He has one specific LI banter a little after the dungeon rescue thing, but yeah there isn't a TON of LI banter from any of the companions.

Flirting with Tallis just gives you a little more LI stuff -- because he gets all possessive/jealous.
