Personally, I'm very interested in this comic book thing. Shame I have to wait 'til February for it thought....

And now we get to find out what Alistair is Canon Alistair. Is he King Alistair? Is he Warden Alistair? Do they just not mention it at all? Is this romanced or non romanced Isabela.. does this happen in the three year gap after the deep roads - before the Hawkemance posiblity?
SO MANY QUESTIONS ;p

On another note, excellent observation, Arquen. It's always amazed me just how intelligent and just naturally talented he is. I mean, he speaks Tevene, English, Qun, most probably even Elven, and he knows all there is to know about each of these cultures and their corresponding histories. He's the most educated "illiterate" (my Hawke has seen to it that he is illiterate no longer) ex-slave elf ever. Maker, I could go and on and on with praise. Killer looks, a brain to envy, a voice that can melt my very bones, a breath-taking smile and puppy green eyes to die for. Looks like the Maker threw all of his goods right into Fenris! Not to mention that "taut" body, as Isabela called it, and his impeccable combat skills.

Not to disparage Fenris' intelligence and learnedness (because it definitely is remarkable), but I haven't heard any evidence of him knowing Elven besides knowing what "shemlen" means. Also, I haven't heard him say anything about the Dalish. Which makes sense, because he's never lived among them. AFAIK, at least. Considering he appears to be particularly talented at picking up knowledge from firsthand contact, I just don't see where he would have had the possibility to learn those things. I also wouldn't go so far as to say he knows "all there is to know about each of those cultures and their corresponding histories". That sounds a tad presumptuous, and not just because he doesn't know how to read.

Saying "he knows all there is to know" is hyperbole, and I took it as such. I don't think she meant it literally. He knows a lot from listening and observing, and I think that was more the point.

I dunno. They just need to be really careful. Alistair fans might just revolt and kill someone if they make his backstory something solid. A Warden Alistair may have a Warden lover.. a King Alistair might be married to a Warden or have a Warden Mistress or be married to Anora or ... He's a very touchy character to mess with.
Isabela too, but there could very well be reasons for why/what's going on not to effect a potential romance for her.
Varric really is the only neutral ground.

still loving MotA. Not really ant difference between rival and friendship romance though. Dissapointing. Does it really matter if you leave Tallis or not?

Fair enough. It's just that it's possible to interpret that as "and if he doesn't know about it, then it's not worth knowing", and considering that Fenris has a bit of an issue with prejudice, it's a slippery slope.
Or maybe I'm just reading too much into things today.

SORRY URSULA -- concentrate on pharmacology (Maker I hated that class).. I'm totally spoilerific too.. I figured the filter and gloves were off since nobody else was doing spoiler warnings, LOL. Plus I have been gushing about the DLC to my boyfriend and he is sick of hearing about it. I have to vent these things to someone. Your up, forums!
on my rivalmage I threatened to kill Tallis every chance I got, LOL. At the end all I could do was "give me the scroll!" and got a PLOT ARMOR NO fail.
So it did leave a bit of a bad taste as far as the ending, but the DLC itself was so worth it. The content. The dialogue. The sheer trolling going on. I've played it like 5 times now, and I even replayed scenes on my characters so I could play them out differently for the different dialogue options. I'm way more into this DLC than I was with Legacy. Legacy felt so "quiet" to me. This one is one thing after another, and I like the pacing, content, puzzles, dialogue and actual plot too.
The Qunari perspective is quite interesting. I only wish we could get a bit more insight into them. Tallis does such a horrible job of explaining her views coherently. Although I do like her.
After Fenris's troll-tacular dialogue in this one I just love him even more, LOL. If that was possible.
Also, did a quick Act 1 Bethany to see what the rescue said: LOL!
Bethany: What am I going to tell Mother? Sorry, I got lost and left your heir in an Orlesian's dungeon? She will never forgive me. My sister will never forgive me! Carver and Father will come back from the grave just to haunt me!
Fenris: What she'll say should be the least of your worries. We may die in here, and she'll never get the news.
Bethany: You are not helping.
XD Fenris.. I love your trolling. I can't get over it.
