*sigh* problems. Anyone know how to get the "At least think about what I said- As you wish dialogue? I have a diplomatic Hawke, he has always been nice to Fenris so thay don't bite eachother, mostly Fenris bites Hawke. Not in a nice way either. Fenris is Hawkes Rival.
Me.. ME!.. LOL.. at the scene after Hadrianna you choose the straight up diplomatic option at the "don't go." wheel. I can't remember what exactly the option says, but it is the green leaf one. I did it on a rival and a friendmance playthrough. As long as you don't choose any other option, and you send him away with the diplomatic one he will say "As you wish..." as he walks off. You won't get the glowy kiss, but he will come back for non-glowy kiss later.
gahh I miss so much!... Such beautiful pics

It's funny, but the Leto thing makes me a bit sad as well, but not so much that I dwell on Leto and Varania's relationship to the point where I actually "miss" Leto. I like Fenris for who he is *now.* Leto is a ghost of a distant past. While I'm interested in backstory, and would love to see some history on it... I don't think it will change anything in the end.
What gets me so much in that scene in Alone is that after he gives you the puppy eyes -- he turns and takes a second (just a second) to turn away, close his eyes in this most anguished look, take a breath, and then turn around and all composed say "I feel unlcean..." That anguished look... it KILLS me, and Hawke doesn't even see it.
People cite that whole scene with Fenris sometimes as overly "emo." How he says he is "alone," and they roll their eyes going "really, dude? We don't count?" For me it always reminded me of a quote I heard a long time ago -- that you can be "surrounded by a sea of people and still feel all alone." Then Hawke is the only one who can kind of pull him out of that and he actually believes for a second that maybe he has Hawke, at least. Yet if romanced it is so much more tragic because he's been trying to push Hawke away all those months/years, and now he realizes his only chance may be gone. The tragedy of it all... gets me every time. This is also why "Never Alone, Always Alone" by Takida is one of my favorite songs for Fenris (is on my playlist

).
I do wonder what the relationship between Varania and Leto actually was. For some reason I actually imagine Varania as the older one. I imagine Leto as being the young mischievious one. They don't look that far apart in age difference, but how can you tell with elves, LOL. Still, their relationship must not have been that great, or Varania is just THAT willing to shove it aside for herself. I don't see anyone who was very close with thier sibling at any time being able to go through with that kind of betrayal unless something had happened between them. Maybe it was the competition?
I'll stay away from the Varania argument though.. been there.. done that.

Wall-o-text ... eesh.. my bad
