I actually got the smirk/smile for the wall scene when playing as both snark!Hawke and aggro!Hawke, so I think it's either a response thing or a glitch

Actually, it's "I'm trying to help you" for rivalry and "It's not a burden" for friendship. The actual dialogue that follows changes depending on personality, though it only seems to affect rivalry.

Diplo/Rival - "You can't do this alone, Fenris."/"No doubt you are right."
Aggro/Friend - "We're friends, Fenris"/"I'm not certain I know what that is."
Snarky/Rival - "Stop being so bloody stubborn."/"Easier said than done."
Snarky/Friend - "We're friends, Fenris"/"I'm not certain I know what that is."
Aggro/Rival - "Just think about what I've said."/"As you wish."

As far as the smirk goes, F!Diplo/Rival did. I think F!Aggro/Friend did, though kinda hard to tell with dark lips against dark skin. M!Snarky/Friend and M!Snarky/Rival didn't. F!Aggro/Rival shut him down way back in Act 1, so can't use her.

I think GhostlyMaiden got it cleared up but I have my diplo mage hawke rivalmance with Fenris, with save points before all the major romance parts, I can load it up when I get home tonight if needed to clarify, you know, for science. Let me know if you need it.

Already working on some silly ideas for the 'Fenris 2000" prompt as well as rockstar Fenris. Batman Fenris? Sure why not. I'm not a great artist or anything but it's fun and I'm giving you all the warning now of what is to come. lol

Gah! You just ruined Anders' first kiss for me!

Then again, those, uh...overly expressive kissy sounds made me a little uncomfortable the first time around. I was kinda sitting there going "ooook...I feel like I shouldn't be here right now".

By contrast, Fenris is a paragon of restraint. You only hear the barest hint of a smack. Even though, by the looks of it, the entire scene should be noisier.

I have never seen the smirk! When does this smirk happen? Will it happen on the return kiss or only on glowy wall kiss?
I can't do the wall scene as I am a rival and recently I have decided the only way to make that scene okay in my head is that Hawke is a vampire, he vamps out and trys to eat Fenris, sexily. It's only because they're indoors that he isn't sparkling.

Only on glowy wall kiss. Hawke gets pushed against the wall, looks scared/shocked, then smirks right before going in for the kiss.

Well, in that case, he's totally forgiven for making out with his own hand. And yes, to be fair, there wasn't really any other way for him to do it.

So they managed to have 2 good-looking male LIs in the game AND 2 good-looking VAs for them? I salute this achievement.

Yeah. I love the glowy kiss, don't get me wrong - but to me, there's a lot to be said (and not so much in words) with the 'I have been thinking of you' version. It's just...gorgeous. And emotional. And...
