MRC! where have you been?

Is it weird that the Fenris thread has become like my "club"... lol. I feel like I have to come check in at least daily. If for nothing else than to hang out with you guys and chat/fangirl dat Fenris, lol.

I am debating taking Gwenya through Legacy... I just... The banterrrrsss . Legacy is so lonely, lol.

I also totally want to write a little scene that keeps playing in my head after MotA. The Orlesian dresses banter comes up different for each Bethany, but the Warden Bethany one is hands down the best. "Alright. Don't work it too hard." I am still laughing at that.

I got the "are you married?" Banter when my boyfriend was watching me play. When Fenris went "a fine question" he gave me a look and goes "omg seriously?" And me and my Hawke both go "let's just move on." At the same time. XD

Away from the thread for a day and I miss 2 pages worth of discussion!

Okay let me see... 1) If Gideon Emery ever spoke to me, I think I would inadvertently squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee when I actually hear his voice spoken to me LIVE.

2) I talk to my characters ALL the time. "God dammit Anders, HEAL!!" and "DIE ALREADY!" are my most popular. Oh, that and "STUPID IDIOT!".

3) I too have a crazy, obsessive habit of continuously clicking on Fenris until he says "I am yours". The day just feels wrong if I go through it without hearing that at least twice.

I love that response, too. I just got all embarassed and flustered because my boyfriend was watching me, and standing over my shoulder. It was enough that he goes "dear god if he says that "I am yours as always" line one more time...

To which I responded by clicking on Fenris furiously just so he kept saying it, lol. Still, for some reason I get all awkward and embarassed when the romance stuff comes up and my boyfriend is watching me like a Hawke. Honestly, he makes the Alistair "eyebrow" and "I disapprove" face... I can't help but think I'm doing something wrong, lol.

He's never seen the Fenris romance scene... I can't do it in front of him, lol. It's too weird. I know it's just a game, but still... awkward XD.

@Arguen, after watching ALL the romance scene in Origin, my SOH did not even bother to make a sound in DAII anymore. To him it had 'lost its spice'. *le sigh* Men....

I reitterate that it is HIS fault I got into Dragon Age in the first place. It also is HIS fault I have this Fenris obsession. He knew Fenris was just my type of character. Just as he goes.. "you will love Alistair.. he's awesome." He went "don't forget to pick up that quest from your house... you will love the surprise." (Bait and Switch).

Now he is kicking himself muahaha. I dunno.. he plays romance stuff in front of me and totally doesnt care. I dont really care either. When he romances game chars Im indifferent. Yet for some reason I get all embarassed when I do it and he is right there. The Alistair romance scene he was there and i practically covered my screen all embarassed. Lmao.. something is wrong with me.

I think it is the goofy smile I have on my face after the Fenmance scenes. Maker, Im such a dork, lol. I had no problem with the Isabela romance, but that's because he did that one on his PT.

@Arquen, this is the bit I envy you, dear. My SOH and I do not share the same gaming genre interest. While I much prefer RPG type, he usually enjoy playing run and shoot like Halo and Modern Warfare. Having him actually saw me running the romance in Origin was pure coincidence. And even with that as a bait, he still won't play it XD

Tumblr is stealing ppl from the forums too, lol.

I'm in desperate need if new Fenfic. I rarely find ones I like or that keep my interest very long. I think people have simply moved on.

I don't know what I haven't talked about with Fenris these days. Same goes for Anders. Sometimes it feels inevitable that I will probably be the only one left in the damn thread, lol.

As for me.. I play all genres and so does my BF ... I even started a new Cod: black ops char with the tag Lyrium Ghost.. yeah.. DONT JUDGE ME! that was after I had prestiged on a prev. Account too, lol.

I play Halo, Cod, battlefield, and Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, plus any games like AC or Prototype. I lived FF Vii, but jrpgs aren't really my thing. Neither was KOTOR if you believe that. I played the hell out pf NWN but did not much like the 2nd one. Currently have The Witcher and Batman Arkham City on my to-play list. Played the hell out pf mmos - name it ive played it, lol.

Still.. can't seem to break the spell of Dragon Age or Fenris. I find myself going home and instead of moving on to my other games I read fenfic, draw fenart, and replay DA2 and now MotA hoping to fill the void that won't be filled, lol.

Haven't gotten this onto something since LOTR, and that was because the books are my life since childhood.

I blame Fenris and Alistair and David Gaider for sucking me in with such awesome characters.

Humph, I am a BioWare Junkie. KOTOR was how it all get started (Carth!). Pretty much anything BioWare will have me addicted. NWN2 series are okay. There are interesting LI for me to stay hook. The longest fanfic I am working on at the moment is NWN2 one

Other than that, I adore Fable series (especially Stephen Fry's character, lately Michael Fassbender's character), and The Force Unleashed series. All story base rpg, as you can see.

Luckily, I'm single, so no worries about awkward moments while your significant other is watching you heat it up on screen. Plus no one gets jealous of Fenris! Yay for being single! Although, I do get the annoyed looks and head shakes from my brother, who introduced me to Origins when it first came out back in Nov 09. He pretends to hate Alistair and Fenris because I adore them, but I know that, deep down inside, they're his favourites as well, albeit in a bromance kinda way. Well, maybe not Fenris. He thinks he's cool and all, but he's one of the types that call him"emo", which annoys the heck out of me. Just because someone's deep, mature, serious and a bit angsty, doesn't make them emo. Urgh! Maybe I take it a bit more to heart because I happen to be that way, and I am most certainly not emo.

I'm sorry, that was a bit of a rant towards the end. I just really hate the E word.

Thanks for the welcome! It's nice to be able to discuss things with like-minded people.
I was just reminded of my last playthrough, when I did Fenris' last QB in Act 3. Isabela and Fenris were talking, and when Hawke arrived, Izzy left (or so I thought). Hawke and Fenris 'made up', hehe, and when Hawke went to leave she passed Izzy standing just outside the door to Fenris' room. I decided to investigate, and when I clicked on her she simply said "I found a great new hat shop in Lowtown".
So Izzy is a peeping tom! I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.

I'm with you Arcane!!  It was only 1 day!

I would be that crazy fangirl as well - I would definitely make him say "I am yours" just so I could record it and listen to it over and over and over...this is why my hubby is glad we're safely tucked away in Canada.

I'm so glad to read I'm not the only one that obsessively clicks on Fenris!!!  My hubby just comes in and rolls his eyes...when I'm on the forums he just comes over, pats my back and tells me to not be surprised for the upcoming intervention...he's the one that originally got me into gaming!  He has no one to blame but himself...

I too have loved Bioware since KOTOR.  But I am a huge Halo fan, and just finished up GoW3 - sad to see that series end, but hopeful that they'll still do some gears stories, just new characters. 

And please don't judge, but I have Fenris as my wallpaper on my BlackBerry.  People ask me all the time who it is!!  I of course can't believe they don't know!!

Definitely. My head canon has been injury since I put the Arishok duel in the trailer (when M!Hawke gets sliced by the Arishok) and fighting him for the first time with FailRogue (I know what I'm doing now - good LORD that one was bad! )

I felt that was obligatory. 

Anyway, I've been a BioWare person since NWN, before Hordes (Valen! <3) even came out.  I was ten and my brother brought home the gold edition, so there was no hope for me.  After that it was KOTOR 1&2 (Atton is still pretty much my favorite LI ever), then NWN2, which was disappointing storywise, but Bishop (WHY YOU NO LOVE ME???).  I found Dragon Age because I watch Aimo on deviantart and she started doing all this fanart for it and it looked awesome (Zevran was a big selling point), so I went out and bought Origins and the rest is history.

Also, on the subject of yelling things at the screen, my favorite is "GODDAMMIT HAWKE, stop doing the firestorm animation and HEAL!"

I've been a gamer since grade school, most of my friends were boys so I fell into playing. I play everything from RPGs to FPS, my DH plays too but I'm more hardcore. LOL. I have a special place in my heart for Bioware games. I really like the way they create characters who have some depth. Most Bioware characters are memorable, love or hate them. And there are few developers who have better stories. As for the forums my DH has his DDO forums so he can't complain.

Decisions... decisions...

I got a fem Hawke (mage) who's now at the beginning of Act II. Smart as I am I flirted with Anders and Fenris, so now I have to decide; friendmance Anders (for the first time, have done a rivalmance already) or go for rivalmancing Fenris again. I have friendmanced Fenris four times and rivalmanced him once, so I really want to do the rivalmance again, but friendmancing Anders with a mage character sounds interesting... then again, we are talking about rivalmancing Fenris. xD
Damn, can't decide... will probably go with Fenris again and save the Anders friendmance for later (or not ;p).

It's a WIP from DahliaLynn. She sent it to David Gaider to get his feedback but I don't think she was expecting that he would tweet about it, as it is not yet complete. Dahlia does great work in the toolset, it will be even more awesome when she's done!
