LOL - yeah unfortunately that one went a bit wrong part way through Act 2 and ended up with Anders (unplanned - the whole idea was to get her on max friendship with Carver!), the side switching sort of came with the package but by then, as you say, Fenris was at max friendship.

I love playing aggro Hawke in a Fenmance.  Then they're both grumpy malcontents.  Which is adorable.

This is the first time I'm playing as an aggro Hawke, and she is definitely going to romance Fenris (still in Act I right now), so I am sooo looking forward to a pairing of aggro Hawke and Fenris! I've never done it before, I've always been wither Diplo (which is very bland) or snarky (which rocks), but the aggro Hawke is totally growing on me! I was a bit worried she would offend Fenris with her personality, because every other companion seems to get rivalry points whenever I use the red option, but I am so glad to know that Fenris actually likes it! We like it rough, do we?

The "they're both grumpy malcontents" bit really is adorable! Now I really can't wait till Act II!!

I'm doing my fifth playthrough with my Mage Hawke friendmancing Fenris. There are certain quests I don't take him on--Act of Mercy, An Errant Letter--but even with the +15 rivalry hit from the first Gallows trip, I still have him over +50 Friend in time to do A Bitter Pill. The trick is to maximize all of your chances to get friend points with the conversations, and by letting him tear slavers' hearts out as much as he likes.

My mage Hawke is also willing to bring the hammer down on blood mages who aren't Merrill, believing that they're the ones who screw it up for the decent apostates. And while he likes Merrill, he thinks she's kind of stupid, and he doesn't give her the thingy, which Fenris appreciates. (About the only thing he and Anders agree on!)

I did a speed re-load of my aggro rivalmage at act 2 and.. and... I slept with everyone! I left a trail of broken hearts in my wake, LMAO.

First and foremost you must NOT touch Fenris. Do not do *ANY* of his quests in Act 2 until you have slept with everyone else and broken up with them.

Second, it works better and faster if you have them at least over 50 friend/rival so their QB quests trigger. Luckily I had it on this PT.

-- Hanged man, hey Izzy... "flirt" --> QB
-- Go home at night.. oh Izzy.. surprise!... Sexytimes.. choose the for funsies option, send her packing.

-- Go talk to Merrill her 1st convo.
-- Go do Blackpowder Courtesy -- to progress the story line a bit

-- Go back and do Merrill's Mirror quest -- refuse to give her arulin'holm (LOL, no but I totally did >.>)
-- Make sure you DON'T take Fenris out of Kirkwall because it could trigger A Bitter Pill and that just ruins everything
-- Go back and get yelled at by Merrill or whatever..
-- Do Merrill's QB quest and get yelled at some more (chose flirts)
-- Go home and Merrill apologizes.. sexy times... then tell her "this was a fling" and sit there LIKE A BOSS on the bed as she walks out (Maker I was facepalming so bad.. Sitting there thinking "I am a horrible person...")

-- Go to Anders --> Dissent -- Feel Justice's burn... etc.
-- Go to Anders' clinic --> finish Dissent ---> QB (flirty flirt) --> Drown us both in blood --> smoochy kissyface --> "do that again"

and because I didn't deserve him after all that destruction... I dumped him too... ForEVER ALONE YOU HEARTBREAKER Hawke! >.<

btw.. Fenris's breakup dialogue ... I had tears in my eyes.. horrible.. absolutely horrible.

I don't think I could do this as a real playthrough, LOL. My Izzy --> Anders (nosex) --> Fenris was hard enough... LOL.

Still.. it IS possible. I just did it. *goes and takes a bath* "I feel unclean."

Wow, I don't know what to say....I didn't think it was possible to romance (if one should call it that) in one playthrough.  That took a lot of effort to break so many hearts in one game

to get out of that room w/ the chests, simply put Talis on the switch in front of one chest, and Hawke on the other. This will solve the puzzle and unlock chests at the same time.

If that doesn't help, I'll take a screen shot for you ;p

Yep - that was Arquen's suggestion that I haven't tried yet because I haven't played since then. I was going on about how cool the DLC has been and hubby decided to play the game again. 

I've already gotten an eyeroll for prodding him to go recruit Fenris.

So, i just wanted to pop into here and say hello... I always feel weird being the new kid on the forum... kinda that awkward stage.... so hello fellow Fenris lovers.
I'm on my second playthrough of DA2, as my copy was stuck in Afghanistan for over a year and i never got to finish it. I've realized, however, that i will never be able to romance anyone who isn't Fenris. and especially with my male Hawkes... for some reason to me the M/M romance with him makes me incredibly giddy and happy inside.

alright. so yeah. just wanted to make my presence known. i haven't really flipped through this thread much yet.. but i do plan on it.

also, Gideon Emery has the sexiest voice in all of gaming. next to Brandon Keener.

As others have said, the Rose doesn't count - no one there messes with romance flags, so there's no risk.  


As a side note, and not really directed at you since I know you didn't say this, but on an extreme of the same topic, I'm always a little  whenever I see someone complaining that the three year gap is completely unrealistic because no one is that patient/can go without sex that long.  It's not really that unlikely.   

Three years may be a long time without sex to some people, but to others, not so much.   Some Hawkes probably need the Rose outlet in that time, others may be content with their hands and/or a phallic tuber.  It really depends on the person.  Three of my Hawkes visited the Rose during the gap, with varying frequencies of visits; a couple more didn't at all.

I do have to wonder what Fenris' thoughts on Hawke paying for sex are.  Clearly it doesn't bother him enough that he can't get over it, but he does have that "Slavery or no, flesh is always for sale," cynical remark that gives me the impression he probably doesn't much care for prostitution.

Wow I didn't realize it was possible to romance everyone and still stay with Fenris! I swear every time my Hawke so much as even flirted with Isabella it seemed to scare him off. X-/

I am also starting a new play through (#8) with a aggressive, rogue Hawke. I have never played as either before. I also think I'll rivalmance Fenris. I've only done that once. In fact, I think I'll rival everyone. That should be interesting. lol

And Obsydian- I agree. mhawke & fenris makes me giddy too for some reason.

Arquen, my friend, for someone who adores Fenris as much as you do, that was brave. Brave indeed. I really don't think I could ever do it. I couldn't ever break up with Alistair too! Not that I ever wanted to, but you know, again for experimentation' sake.
