@Arquen I see the distinction you're making there. Makes sense. I beg to differ on the nature of the relationship with Isabela (again, the banter in Act III really doesn't imply that Fenris sees Isabela as anything more than a sex-buddy) but... that's just my interpretation.

They definitely had contact during the 3 years, but there are also subtle hints that Fenris was pushing Hawke away as well. The biggest one that comes to mind is the DLC Legacy banter actually.

Fenris: Thank you for asking me to come along again, Hawke.

Hawke: Is there a reason I wouldn't?

Fenris: I just... am pleased. To see you. That's all.

Also, I still go to that statement "I thought it would be better if you hated me" as more than hated me because I left. I think Fenris is pushing Hawke away during the 3 years. He doesn't tell Hawke about his sister, and he obviously spends personal time on that. I just think that he would protect himself as well by distancing himself from Hawke somewhat.

Ahahaha, thats not true, I give that look to just about everyone I have a super crush on. Zac Efron, James Marters, Ben Barnes... They own my googly eyes. I don't love them, but I have a deep attration to them, When Fen gives my Hawke that look I am usually giving Fenris that look, and I can happily state I am not in love with Fenris. ( But only because my Hawke threatened to cut me.)

bah apparently Arquen and I are back to disagreeing because I don't believe Fenris is in love during the three year gap. I think he respects Hawke, and has the touchy- feelies for him/her, but someone as troubled as he is, you need to be pretty centered with yourself to fall in love with someon I believe. Course that is just my personal opinion.

Yeah Fleshy - I don't see it like he isn't "in love" with Hawke during the 3 years, I just think he isn't willing to admit he loves Hawke until later. That being said, I also don't think he pines for Hawke or stays up aching for Hawke because he has a lot of otger things to brood on. He no doubt cares deeply for Hawke, and regrets and tortures himself over leaving Hawke. Yet, he is pushing away those feelings. Hoping that distance and time will make it better. "But it isn't better," and that is the epiphany.

Also, he clearly is hurt if you move on. He clearly has his heart broken if you break up with him. He also says.. "I should have asked your forgiveness long ago," and "I've thought about the answer a thousand times." All things that distinguish it as deeper feelings than just infatuation or lust. He is in love with Hawke.. whether he admits it or not. The emotional part develops over time, but after that night he can't simply waive or supress those feelings. Though he totally tries.

Oh and o forgot.. My December is such a good song, and is just angsty enough to embody Fenris. Especially during that 3 year gap.

And I love My December. Such a perfect song for Fenris! Great choice, Arquen. I think I'll listen to it now and sink into another one of my Fenris reveries.

Oh geez... got MOthAF**** 7.1 surround sound headphones! Early b-day present from the boyfriend -- seriously early my b-day is Nov. 13th, LOL -- he didn't want to wait.

Listening to the Fenris playlist has become an all new awesome, you have no idea, and that voice in surround sound 7.1 *dies*

I'm not quite as eloquent since I've been working for 12 hours, but yeah I'm glad we are back to agreeing Solona! I think the only thing we agree to disagree on is Fesabela, but that's okay because I'm kind of atypical on that one, LOL.

On a more or less sane note I give you the reason I will never ever leave my boyfriend, even for Ser Emery. Yesterday after watching me play DA2 and romancing Fenris for the umpteenth time he has started growling "I am yours" When we go out, then clearing his throat and trying again till it sounds close to Fenris' way of saying it. So cute, slightly creepy, but mostly cute. We'll be having dinner with my parents:

LI: Leans over and whispers.
"I am yours"

Me: Grin

LI: No wait, I had it earlier!
*ahem* "I am yours"
Was that closer?

Me: Nod and beam.

LI: Good! Then "I am yours" Gah! Lost it again.

Me: Smoochies!

Like I said it's a little strange but it makes it totally sweet because he doesn't even like Fenris he just knows how much I do and wants to impress me.

I'm my own worse critic, this I know from being told time and time again. It's nowhere near finished but every time I look at it I find myself glaring at it in frustration. I'm just not...gah. I can't find the right words because I'm honestly not sure how I feel about it. Everything feels off about it.

So do I continue with it? Or do I just give up now?

What was it like, hearing them speak right there in front of you? Must've been surreal, hearing their voices like that! I can't even begin to imagine!

 @Cosmo "You USED me?" would be perrrrrrrfect;) I think I'd burst out laughing just like I did when I watched that on youtube:P (I only romanced Anders once and I never broke up with him). Or maybe the "I'm charming" he says when Fenris wonders how the Templars haven't killed him yet; I've always loved that line of his.
