Breaking up with Merrill and Andres is so easy. They freak me out with their 'I love you, I wanna move in.', immediatly after you slept with them. I thought the Merrill rivalmance started very nice (with the 'Please don't save me'-line), but she threw 'I love you' at my Hawke a few moments later, so I was like 'you should leave, like right now!'. Same thing is going to happen to Anders. xD
Will see if I can start the Fenris romance after that... playthrough is boring, only moment I saw Fenris in Act II is when he showed up to talk to Seth (Mabari).

Yup xbox, and this is exactly what happens everytime^^

I tried it with having the "what about love" dialogue with Isabela and then choose the heartbreak option but that was still a no go. Isabelas romance seems to be quite buggy, since when you either tell her it was "just for fun" or take the heartbreak option she is stuck in a quasi romance.
Ironically this gives her her secondary outfit, while romancing her in earnest does not (unless you have the emporium) 
Also, occasionally the epilogue bug, where Varric spouts two names simultaneously.
(or Hawke runs off with a dead Anders. That seems lulzy)

As for romance. I have heard such horror stories about Fenris and Izzy. I did Isabela - Anders (no sexytimes) - Fenris by doing Izzy first without doing any Fenris stuff. Also I avoided the gifts to Izzy and the only flirt I chose was her QB glirt. Still, i've heard about all kinds of goings wrong with it.

I'll have to do some testing/exploring further with it. See if I can narrow it down. What I think happens is either Izzy's flag doesn't break for some reason or Fenris's flag doesn't trigger. *shrug* i have done it, but so long ago i can't remember my exact process.

Meh... Romancing Fenris you should just focus on him anyways .

Also, you HAVE to pick the "for funsies" option for Izzy... the other option fails even with heartbreak for some reason. I did it all on PC there are some quirks on xbox - like choosing the red option after sexytimes with Fenris breaks it and flirts with Izzy break things. Maker, i think i would hate to play DA2 on console. PC is so much... more beautiful/ freer with mods/ screenshots! Gahh how could I live without my Fen screenie folder!?

I so want to be home reading coffee, black or kicking the crap outta thugs in DA2.

I'll never have to worry about all this romancing everyone business because I simply don't want to romance everyone. Its either Fenris or nobody. Well, all right, maybe that's not true. Anders can be quite irresistible at times.

On another note, I'm just about to watch Gideon Emery in Train. Watched it last night but I closed my eyes for like... 90% of the movie (its quite gory, isn't it?) but this time, I'm going to be brave and watch every single torturous act and dismemberment. I muted most of the scenes and shut my eyes yesterday, and I only put the volume back up high and watched wide-eyed whenever Gideon was on-screen (even if it was a gory, sickening scene). Ah, the things you do for love:P

OMG, I did it!

My Hawke slept with everyone ending with the Fenris rivalmance. x"D
I was afraid it wouldn't work (with all the known bugs and all), so I was really happy when I saw the flirt option during his QB quest.

One minor setback was that when I told Fenris that slaves were useful, he got really mad (more than usual), maybe because of the rivalmance or because his rivalry was really low.. Can't remember what happened last time I rivalmanced him. x"D

Fenris: ' Perhaps you missed the part where I was once a slave. Do you really think I will stand by and watch you become that girl's new master?'
Hawke: 'How about I become her employer, then. Better?'
Fenris: 'Barely.'

It's because his feet have such a high resistance to the ground that they actually bounce off it ever so slightly.

Just kidding, he just has springs on the soles of his feet. You can't see them.

I've never had that happen, with my Fenris romances I'm careful with the flirting because he gets put off so easily.  With DA2 I feel like I need a score card at times when dealing with the romances.  I don't remember DA:O being so hard.

I have noticed in my PTs that if you flirt with some of
the companions (or maybe choose a particular flirt option), you need to make
sure their rivalry/friendship is high enough so you can get them to come to the
estate to "turn them down". Otherwise, if you get to Fenris QB quest
before that happens, the heart option won't show up if there is the potential
for another romance.

I have had all 3 other potential romances show up at the
estate, turned them down, and still had everything work out with Fenris. I
cannot do just Isabela, then Fenris. Also, I have not tried sleeping with
Anders or Merrill and then Fenris.
