You mean the bit they were all standing at the market in lowtown and watch the chantry blow up? It should be fine to leavve Fenris there, as later you will have a chance to pick him up as you decend down to the dockside and meet your siblings.

EDIT for TOP.

Woah, I've missed out on two full pages in the space of 12 hours!!! What the?? The Fenris thread is up and running again!

Here's my attempt at catching up:

1) No matter how evil, vile, malicious and bloodthirsty my Hawke is, she/he will NEVER EVER EVER give Fenris up to Danarius. Just NEVER.

2) LOL at the Gideon Emery talking to Gideon Emery about the Gideon Emery who was killed! I've actually seen the three Gideon "Emeries" getting killed by the dragon as well, and I knew then that  that dragon needed to DIE and FAST.

I'm liking Skyrim. First day I got it, I was like "meh". Really didn't cut it for me. Second day, "hmmm...this is actually kinda good." Yesterday "okay... I think I'm starting to really like this game!" This morning "I'm really enjoying playing this!" Only time will tell if I'll ever end up LOVING it.

And because this hasn't been posted here yet:Posted Image

Arquen's most recent masterpiece.

I ADORE my Kindle Fire. Well, so long as I have an available book or a wifi connection anyway ;p There are always apps like my finger-drawing app to keep me placated when neither of those options are available to me!

happy 1900!!

Ugh, i should be working on my Anders Rivalmance run... Or the run my brother suggested. I'm gonna show my age here, but in the GIJoe animated movie, there's a Character named Law...who has a dog named Order. My brother suggested doing a Ranged Rogue named Law, naming the mabari Order. Yeah. I'm flarking old.

You guys.. *blush*

HAPPY 1900 PAGES! I'll have to work up some pic spam here.. LOL.

and finally...

by Andre-es on deviantart -- also known as our very own Rei!

Who did this for me as an art/fic trade. My Gwenya and Fenris! So happy!

That's what I have for now.. PICSPAM party! :wizard:

Oh and because nobody answered the question about Justice quest -->

1.) I worry if you don't have Fenris maxed by now then there aren't a lot of opportunities to get him there. I usually have him maxed by the end of act 2. Hmm.

2.) You do earn rivalry points if you accept the quest from Anders and help him sneak into the Chantry. I'm not sure you earn anything when you accept the Justice quest and go looking for the components, but when he tells you it isn't a postion to separate him and Justice and asks you to distract the Grand Cleric you can definitely gain rivalry with Fenris. You can escape with +5 rivalry if you choose the non-diplo option of just agreeing to help Anders get into the Chantry. If you outright refuse to help Anders you gain +5 friendship with Fenris. However, you gain +30 rivalry with Anders. If you choose to help Anders with the diplo response you get +10 rivalry from Fenris.

These +5 points don't mean much, but that late in the game it is hard to max friend/rivalry. In all honesty you should probably concentrate on maxing him out first before doing "Justice." I usually save it for the very last thing right before a last straw. Good lucks!

I came across three of him in Skyrim the other day up on the road to Labyrinthian. Then a dragon came and wiped all three of him out. That dragon had to die.

Though the ultimate mindscrew is during the Dark Brotherhood questline. You come across Gideon Emery talking to Gideon Emery about someone you murdered...also voiced by Gideon Emery.

I think that broke my brain.

Lol, that must be confusing. :P I also met three soldiers all voiced by him. The soldier's voice does sound different than Fenris' though. It's more... neutral, less raw, deep... ehr... you know what I mean. xD However, in a bigancient dwarven ruin there was an Imperial captain Sulla, and he had the EXACT same voice as Fenris. He snarled something like "you just want all the glory for yourself" to a female captain that was with him. I was so excited to recognize his voice there so unexpected, that I just barged forward into the room. Female captain: "someone there?" and then they both attacked me. I had to barbeque them with my firebolts.:( I just wanted to talk to the man with THE voice! I'm glad I can at least talk to Fenris in DA, hahaha.:P

yeah, the question remains .. Why? Why RP a made-up story like this just for the line crossing and sadism and see how much you can stomach?

As I said, no matter what justifications you throw at it, the whole thing holds absolutely no interest to me. There just isn't any point for me. No pleasure in it. No fun. Not even good cathartic "watch out we got a badass over here!" -- It's that thin line between utter villain that is just 100% black and evil and Disney-esque "I'm evil for REASONS RAHH!" and that character development of someone who has an actual pathology and needs to do these things because they can't function any other way.

Sociopaths do have paranoia, and while they manipulate people and can use them like tools, they do feel emotions, just not empathy. They can not feel empathy. It isn't in their brain chemistry. They are also often antisocial and the best serial killers usually are antisocial vs sociopathic pathology. So, yeah even a Hawke who did all this for the lulz and manipulation would still WANT something out of it, and would have a fear and paranoia of those things slipping away from them. Plus, as much wiggle room as you allow Hawke, a true antisocial sociopath is not a feasible Champion of Kirkwall, LOL. It just.. again.. why?

I grow disgusted, and just simply do not agree with it.

I would guess that's the only way I could roleplay that action...but I just can't do it. I have a hard time playing truly evil characters.  Morally grey yes, evil no.  And even if you totally hated Fenris the "reward", excuse the use of the word, isn't worth it.  It's a few lousy coin and you lose an great warrior.

Hey, on the upside, people like me who are able to grit their teeth and bear it can also upload any cameos Fenris may have in DA3, and you don't have to play through it yourself to do it.

Just picture it. You're walking down the street in DA3 when you see Danarius and Fenris standing off to the side. You approach and talk to them. Fenris stays quiet as Danarius goes on and on. He doesn't speak until the end where he has only one line "Yes, master."

Or another sidequest related scenario where you're supposed to hunt down a certain magister (ala Murder of Crows) and Fenris is there. Maybe he doesn't have lines and you're stuck fighting him hearing only his battle cries. Maybe you'll have an opportunity to use something akin to persuasion/intimidate checks to not fight him or maybe after the battle you can choose to let him go. Ooh the possibilities.

So on that note, what kind of cameos can you picture Fenris having in future Dragon Age games? On rivalry if you tell him to leave during Questioning Beliefs, he says he may go west. Looking at a map, Cumberland is closest west, followed by Orlais. There's been a lot of talk about DA3 taking place in Orlais, though there was that one interview show thing on Youtube that suggested they may cover most of Thedas. Still, Orlais is in Thedas. I imagine most Fenmancers want Fenris with their Hawke, but he could have a simple cameo sidequest sort of thing and make an LI related comment at the end ala King Alistair and Queen Cousland.

So if Fenris showed up in Orlais (or anywhere) what kinds of shenanigans would he be up to? Is he pulling a Zevran, trying to take down the magisters of Tevinter and free slave? Will he become like Leliana having a far more prominent role than was suggested in DAO? I've heard devs say they don't want to retcon deaths, but people do change their mind.

So, besides becoming a companion, what kind of cameo would you like him to have? What kind of cameo do you think he would have? And how likely do you think it is that Fenris will have a cameo in DA3?

Also, happy 1900! Been lurking since the early MEG days. I'd like to see this hit 2k before Mass Effect 3 steals my soul.

Ooh, though questions. xD If you can go to Tevinter in DA3, you might meet Fenris and Danarius if you gave him back or he was captured by Hadriana (I believe he goes to the cave by himself if you refuse to help him or don't go to the cave soon enough).
If there was no mage-siding Hawke in DA2, he might be fighting against mages in the war. I don't really see him rising to power like Leliana, though. To Sebastian he states he doesn't wish to train men to be soldiers. He doesn't really fancy a leading role. He is probably more to himself, like Zevran.

Yay for 1900!!!Posted Image
Work for 2 days and look what happens??

So many things...let's see.....

1) I too have come across many a "Fenris" in Skyrim, but fortunately I sided with the Legion so I get to hear Mr. Emery's voice often Posted Image

2) I'm with Arquen - I just CAN'T bring myself to every give Fenris back - not even with my total ****, pissed off at the world because all of my family is dead, Hawke.  I just don't see the point, and of course I've romanced him, and could never let the crusty broody elf go!  Danarius is creepy.  And the fact that you guys mentioned you only get 5 gold??  WTF?  That is definitely not worth that look he gives you (I had to youtube it!).

3) As for cameos in DA3,I'm hoping that we at least get to see some of the people from DA2 in some capacity.  The Champion running away from the Free Marches - you meet Hawke in some dingy inn accompanied by Fenris; Aveline and Donnic are still protecting Kirkwall; Varric is storytelling at the Pearl in Fereldan; Anders (if he's still alive) is hiding as a bartender in Orlais.  Merrill has found a new clan, and Isabela you run into in a port in Nevarra.  Sebastian is the prince of Starkhaven, but you only hear about him.  Your siblings are either dead or off on some Grey Warden quest.  Or Carver is now a templar in Fereldan because he heard how "fun" the Circle was there!Posted Image

4) Totally awesome artwork by all you guys!  Arquen, syllogi, Rei....so fabulous!  Everyone on here is so talented!

Hey guys! *sneakily steals cookies for Thane thread* Just thought I would stop by for some sane DA time. No one warned me the the ME3 half of the forum put on some crazy pants and run around hitting others with their sticks, its kinda adorable, like two year old bullies. For serious though, the sides I have alingned with, Garrus/Thane/Not crazy people seem alright. Never though I would say that in comparison the Anders/Fenris rivalry seems small.

Fffff, I love Colbert so much. I want to marry him.

I miss my elf! I want Thane and Fenris to sit in a room together and rumble and have deep insights att eachother. I would implode. I have already given my opinion on handing Fenris over, it is an unforgivable sin. :P Would love, love, love to... no I demand more Fenris in the future, and Zevran. I demand it! Politely.

Honestly, GhostMaiden I wouldn't want to see those types of cameos.. at all.. ever. To go to Tevinter and actually see that? I would KILL them. Both of them. I would rather see Fenris dead than living like that. It would be as if I saw Anders Tranquil. Nope, sorry. I would never want that in the game.

In fact, I don't even know why the option to hand him over is in the game in the first place. You have plenty of opportunities to get rid of him before-hand. Even an evil Hawke really has no need to do it. Their motivation being power.. Danarius doesn't exactly offer power. You probably would have more influence and pull if you went to Tevinter with Danarius's warrior and told everyone how you killed that pathetic excuse for a magister and took his property. It just doesn't make sense in any context to me. Even for a villain. Though, it's funny because it totally supports my theory that the only reason one would have to give back Fenris is because they are being legitimately cruel and are a heartless bastard. Even then, it still doesn't make much logical sense given the loss vs reward.

Also, I don't really like to speculate about DA3 as far as companions. I mean, if there are cameos it is god knows what they choose as canon for them. Also, look at the cameos in DA2 -- Alistair, Zevran, Leliana... hmph. While I adored the fact that Alistair and Zev were there I was a bit sad they didn't really mention much of my Warden.

For me personally Gwenya and Fenris are together and possibly working to stabilize the Templar/Mage rebellion. They would have escaped with Isabela on her boat, probably headed back to Ferelden to take up that offer from King Alistair. Had to no doubt disappear because they are being hunted, and maybe end up in Orlais.

As far as Fenris on his own, I figure he just travels and eventually finds something he enjoys doing. More than likely it would be along the lines of mercenary work and killing slavers. I think he would avoid choosing or fighting for a side in the rebellion, but he would most likely be caught up in it anyways. No doubt he would help kill any slavers preying on the refugees of the war, and he would maintain not to allow blood mages and renegade factions to seize power. Even if it is just by chance that he would come across such things. I also think he would maintain communication with Hawke as best as he could. I doubt when they all "go their separate ways," they simply forget each other and move on.

LOL @ mage friend! I love Colbert too! He's a favorite of mine.

As for the ME3 -- can't really say because I haven't been in the Mass Effect fandom. I assume it is more because of the Holidays though. Sheer volume of people on vacations right now and winter break makes the amount of F#)*()@@@ on the internet increase exponentially.

And that is why Im soo glad to be ****** poor to afford a gaming pc. That and I couldnt play the Witcher without making some smart ass quip about "Im sorry I couldnt ear you milady over the sound of me undressing. Prepare for a witcher sandwhich."
Or playing Skyrim and just shouting outloud "Get back here flying chicken!"

Yeah sometimes my brain makes the funniest left turns.
