I know, it's so QUIET in here.  It's almost eerie...
I did start another DA2 PT though - missed Fenris too much.  And since my DLCs have always been played after ActIII, I think I'll do them sooner   Just need to figure out if I'm going with aggro mage Hawke or sweet warrior Hawke...

I dont know why, but I find this insanely cute and funny. Maybe its fenris with his Laharl face, maybe its Merril's adhd behaviour  yelling puppy, maybe its the idea Hawke brought a high dragon inside the house...or maybe its just that second to last panel.

Hmm...good point - I think the more relevant question is what hasn't been covered in a while without the new people?

Let me see...

If you were going to cast someone to play Fenris in a DA movie (not animated therefore Gideon Emery is not an instant lock) - who would you cast? Discuss.

ETA: Personally I'd see if Mr. Emery was busy anyway, but is there anyone else that comes to mind?

I know some people have mentioned Robert Pattinson as a possibility. Other than the fact that he's famous for Twilight (*gags*), they think he could pull off Fenris' brood rather nicely. I'm not sold on it personally, because he doesn't really click as Fenris for me.

No! No! No! Pattinson is good as Edward, and only because the loathing that Pattinson has for Edward is exactly how he can play a stoned-looking, annoying "vampire", because Edward hates himself too. Fenris, despite being broody, is still too different and too complex in comparison to that idiotic vampire! And besides, he, for one, looks nothing like Fenris, even if he had the best makeup artists in the world.

I don't think any actor would be good as Fenris. CGI all the way, with Gideon Emery's voice as usual, kthnxbai!

Not Pattinson! He doesn't look ANYTHING like him and I find it very difficult to believe that any amount of makeup could make him resemble Fenris even in the slightest.

I'd cast Mr Emery, hands down. Not only did he voice him, but he actually kind of resembles him physically. That jaw, those intense eyes, that hair...

Also, Gideon is such a deep, serious, contemplative and mysterious kinda guy, in addition to the fact that he has an incredible sense of humour, just like Fenris.

Yeah... Gideon Emery. I can't think of anyone else, really.

As for who to play Fenris....I'm with Arcane - I think Mr. Emery could pull it off!  And he's got the perfect voice  (gee I wonder why....).  And he's some lovely eye candy too!

Hugh Jackman also popped into my head (not when he's bulked up for Wolverine though).  My hubby says Orlando Bloom - same cheek structure and he has that lean, strong look. (Although his first response was "Fenris, that girly elf in tights?" - he was sufficiently pummeled by me)

Anyways yeah I've been rather swamped to exhaustion and just haven't found a lot of time for the thread.

At work (har what else is new?) And been lurking. Dahlia is my freakin hero and I just... gahhh it's beautiful, and Words cannot express the appreciation and awesomeness of and for this work!

Pictures beautiful as always. To chime in (although it was a while ago) I have no favorite banter from Fenris. It is easier to say "what banter don't you like?" And even that is hard. I can't choose any! I go through like all the voice options because I love every line and banter he has. I really do. I love the banters with Anders, and Merrill, and Aveline and Varric and Isabela and Seb and just... I love all his banters. Who can choose favs?

Also, about Danarius.... I imagine it was rather simple actually. I think Danarius waited 1.) For Hadrianna to bring him back, and when she failed he had to find new staff and form a new plan. 2.) I'm sure he was trying to keep eyes on Fenris and perhaps even intercepted a communication to Varania. I actually assume he went hunting for Varania himself and found her, and probably manipulated her which takes time, resources, and a solid trust rhat she wouldn't tell Fenris about the trap. It is as he said.. "The more it seems he doesn't know, the more I'm sure he does" (paraphrasing) It isn't beyond the realm of possible that Danarius had to take those years (esp after Hadrianna failed) to recoup and recover and get Varania in on the plan.

As far as actor, hmmm... I have thought about it, but I have never seen anyone who screams "Fenris!" To me. So I keep my eyes out, but so far.. nothing.
