So. Coffee, Black. .....i wish I had the words, but that was one hell of an opus. I cried. I don't know if i cried cause it ended more than cause of the ending... but damn. just.... i worship that writer right now. becuase somehow she has articulated so many things that I never could... that bit on change? that.... yes. just. yes. story of my life. Okay ... after pulling my hair out trying to get fanfiction.net to post my damn story (can you tell I'm irritated!!?!!?!) I finally went to LJ and pulled my hair out some more there before I could FINALLY, FINALLY post it.

Anyway ... it's M!Hawke x Fenris. It's just a little oneshot, rated PG (sorry, ladies) Today I was playing through Act 1 and feeling a bit guilty over how I often leave Fenris behind when I do pro-mage quests. Well, it got me to think ... does Hawke ever feel guilty, too? So here's the story:

Re-submitted the story. Wouldn't show. All I see is the old story, the one I deleted, and when clicked on, says file not found. I re-did everything again, this time renaming everything. Still won't show. Okay, I'll stop ranting.

Hope you enjoy  It was such a pain in the ass to post ... and I still need to change the title for FF.N :|  But at least it's finally up!  

This must be a tiny fandom; I'm used to posting a fic and waking up the next day to several reviews.  I woke up this morning and got nothing :-O  I need to establish myself in this fandom maybe xD

I'm just getting into this fandom; I've read a couple other Hawk x Fenris (Fawk? Hawnris?) fics and I have a massive Anders x Hawke one bookmarked for a rainy day.  

Just curious; how many times have you guys romanced Fenris -- complete playthroughs only?  For me it's ... three??  *thinking*  Yeah, three.  And I'm on my fourth playthrough with the handsome but thoughtful Titus Hawke.  He's a mage who adores his mean little brother, is dedicated to freedom for mages, but was taught by his father to fear blood magic and the influence of demons.  Consequently, poor Merrill is being rivaled.  He also for some bizarre reason does not get along with Anders LOL He did have to leave Fenris at home on some missions, hence the inspiration for this fic >.>

I'm thinking about tweaking it to make it also readable to F!Hawke fans ... making a F!Hawke version LOL I know I don't read F!Hawke fics so I feel bad about making a M!Hawke fic.

Another online friend and I were discussing another possible LI for Fenris = Sebastian!  This is the first time I've ever played with Sebastian (whoa that sounds naughty); *cough* I mean, I had never bought him before, and out of boredom (where's our next DLC damn it?!) I finally downloaded him.  

And seriously, is it just us, or does Sebastian outright flirt with Fenris?!  
My Hawke was about to rip that prince's pretty little arms off...!

I have romanced Fenris twice, one friend and one rival. I rivalmanced him with my evil blood mage as well, but she handed him over to Danarius later.

Coffee, Black isn't sad. It's beautiful, touching, and real. It makes you laugh, blush, smile and squee. It's just amazing, it really is. I totally recommend it to anyone who hasn't read it yet. It's the greatest DA2 AU I've ever read and probably the greatest one I'll ever read.

Obsy, you're not alone. I cried too, and I don't know whether it's because it's finally over or because of how beautifully it ended.

About Seb and Fenris, nah, I don't see any flirting. They just really get along with each other. But, I can totally see myself reading some Seb/Fenris smut, though. Because I'm such a pervert. Lol. Something tells me Fenris absolutely loves that Scottish accent

I will bookmark Coffee, Black then; I totally adore AU's. I used to write them for a different fandom, but the problem with AU's is you can't write oneshots. They always turn into epics!

EDIT: Wow.  I have seriously had it up to here with FFN.  It says I have two reviews on the story, but when I click on them, it then says "No Reviews."  WTH FFN.  *sighs*

D'aww I'm glad you liked it <3  It now says I have three reviews, yet I still can't read them.  I wonder if the colon in the title is the problem.  Of course I originally uploaded it as "An Act of Mercy" but when it wouldn't let me edit I had to reupload with a DIFFERENT name and went with "Title: An Act of Mercy" with the intention to change it back later.  

I always, ALWAYS have problems with FFN.  And then when it comes to LJ ... somehow something always screws up there, too; the LJ cut gets wonky or I can't turn of the bold or something.

Actually, you guys totally win.  Three out of Four Hawkes have chosen Fenris.  The fourth one (technically, the third one) couldn't resist hitting on Anders.  Boy was he in for a surprise.
