I will bookmark Coffee, Black then; I totally adore AU's. I used to write them for a different fandom, but the problem with AU's is you can't write oneshots. They always turn into epics!

EDIT: Wow.  I have seriously had it up to here with FFN.  It says I have two reviews on the story, but when I click on them, it then says "No Reviews."  WTH FFN.  *sighs*

An AU has to be really good for me to like it. I'm picky about that sorta thing...  what fandom did you write them for? 

I .... will review on FF soon.  my problem is i do most of my fanfiction reading on my phone, and for some reason my phone and FF dont' work together well when it comes to reviews and such.  it doens't let me for some reason. 

and as for Seb.... I SAW THE SAME THING!   but i nearly always have my slashgoggles on.  like...  have you seen Xmen First class? OH GOD THE WONDERFUL SLASH!  but i'm a slash nutcase anyway.  
And Seb is totally my second favorite person in the game. I wish to gods that he was romancable with a boy. I want some boy lovins with him. course, from what i hear, there's barely any girl-lovins with him either.... so yeah. 

I love the Scottish accent alot... but for me.. nothing beats the Welsh. its why I wish I liked Merrill more. Eve Myles is awesome and her accent is hot.

yes. i went looking for Fen/Seb.   cause i'm a horrible person. (not adopted though, so at least i got that going for me.)

LOL.. and I was going to come to the thread to catch up because I have had NO TIME lately. Only to find you had posted that here, haha.

So glad you love it brain twin. As for everyone else, HI Fenris Thread. I see we are on Sebris.. hmm. I hate Sebris. I hate it almost as much as I hate Fenders. I really just don't see it working with them at all. Sebastian is 1.) only romanceable by females, and 2.) Is VERY waffling and just doesn't have any idea what he wants. Not to mention he is the epitome of a sheltered royal who has no real idea what true hardship is.

I just don't see them as a good fit at all. I think Fenris considers what Seb has to say about the Chantry, but there is nothing sexual there. I find it funny that he turns Sebastian's offer to train troops down flat. He "likes" Sebastian because of his hard stance on mages, and I think Fenris respects Seb for certain things.. wanting to avenge his family for instance. Still, I just don't see the "sex" part of it. Why can't people just be friends or acquaintances or just like each other platonically. Why does it always end up in some kind of slash pairing/ship. It is just.. grr.. "SHIP ALL THE THINGS!" and sometimes I facepalm because I don't get it.

Coffee Black made me tear up and I actually cried at one specific part. It hit a very personal note for me, and the story in its entirety just is a wonderful and beautiful story. It truly captures so many emotions, and you FEEL the emotions along with the characters. BCI is a magnificent writer. She has a way with words, and sometimes it is just a simple sentence that will get me. There was one part where I just had silent tears rolling down my face because it just hit me right in the heart. I knew that feeling, and to feel it again.. it just brought up some serious emotion, and that is why it is an amazing story. Not so much the pron or the passion, but just the way these characters find each other, and find love despite everything and their own personal struggles. I'm devastated it is over. THE END OF AN ERA! Still.. it is like the ending of a good book. You feel satisfied, but somewhat hollow.

Bleach  Strictly Renji x Byakuya.  My first fanfic was an AU actually; I was a grad student at the time, so I decided to write grad student!Byakuya.  It helped me deal with the extreme stress and fear and self-hatred at the time lol

Then I wrote fantasy AU for them.  Then I decided to move on to writing original fiction.  I've got a fantasy romance epic up at fiction press which I like to delude myself will some day be rewritten into a proper publishable novel.

To be fair to you, dear Arquen, I don't see/get Fenders, either.  I don't sense any chemistry there.  But some do!  And more power to em.  Pardon moi, but I am not one to slash at will just b/c a pair of characters just seem to be friends.  It really felt like flirting to me (b/w Seb and Fenris)!  Can I help that I'm a silly fangirl?! XD

Can someone give me a good link to Coffee, Black?  I googled it, but only found it posted on some site I wasn't familiar with.  That's fine, but I'd love to read it on FFN or LJ just b/c my eyes are used to those websites.

@Aquen - LOVE Fen and the piano - amazing job!!!  You are so talented!  I"m a little jealous of Arcane I have to admit - not only is her fic fantastic, she gets amazing art to go with it!!!

@moto - read the fic - left a review and flagged it for future chapters - can't wait, well done!  (I told you I'd read it!!)

As for Fenris & Sebastian - yeah I'm with Arquen on this one - HATE the idea, don't see it happening at all.  I feel like I hate it more than Fenders as well, but whatever.  I just don't see either of them as paired up - Fenris and Sebastian seem to be friendly, but that's about it.  I don't see them hanging out together outside of helping Hawke.

I might get stones thrown at me for this, but I have a thing for Fenders. It's a secret kink of mine that stopped being a secret around a week ago. Lol. But not the rough, violent, hate-sex sort of thing that many people seem to write about. I'm not a violent hate-sex sort of person. I love the idea that the two grow to truly fall in love with one another. A passionate and loving romance between two people that seem like polar opposites on the surface, but once you delve deeper, you see that they have much more in common than was expected. I have it all played out in my head!

Nah, I don't like the Fenders idea. Fenris and a mage Hawke goes far enough. Fenris and Anders... unthinkable. The guy is happy if you give Fenris to Danarius! Their banter is always spiteful and not fun. No, that is something my imagination cannot cope with. I can't find the slightest hint of affection in any of their interactions. Sebastian and Fenris would sooner happen than Fenris and Anders.

Actually, Fenders' interaction isn't TOTALLY hateful.  In fact, Fenris is usually quite civil.  Anders is the one who gets all worked up and eventually irritates Fenris enough to snap at him.  Really, even though Fenris is adamant about the threat posed by mages, he still respects those mages Hawke considers friends.  I honestly don't think he hates Anders at all.  I think Anders just annoys the crap out of him, the same way he annoys most of their other friends LOL And there's this banter line that might fuel the flames of Fenders fans:

Anders: (when speaking to Fenris) I'll prove to you that I'm not weak!

A-huh.  Why do you care so much what he thinks of you, Andy? 

But, again, I'm not a Fenders fan.  Sebris though 

I kid, mostly.  Hawke x Fenris is my OTP.  But I think Sebastian's banters with Fenris are sweet.  I really think if Hawke is with someone else then after the story ends, Fenris might very well travel back to Starkhaven with Sebastian.  I think they really have something there ... even if most people only interpret it as friendship.

And I mostly meant Anders' attitude towards Fenris indeed. Especially how he calls Fenris a "wild dog" when he questions Hawke's relationship with him. In my eyes that is so far away from a romance as can be.

Hottest Fenders vid EVER. I started looking into Fenders stories after watching this. I think Fenders is my second favorite Dragon Age pairing after Hawke/Fenris. I like both the hatesex and soft versions as long as it seems "in character enough".

I do believe that there is no way it would ever happen in canon though. Maybe if Anders hadn't merged with Justice they could have had a Sarcastic!Hawke/Fenris style rivalmance, but as it is...No, not happening.

Actually, I kinda wish we could get those types of armor in game. -looks at mod makers- Get on it peeps!

As to Fenders, I'm not a fan. It annoys me a lot when I'm looking for a Fenris story, and so many of them are of Fenris and Anders having glorious hate sex. I think a lot of it may be detecting sexual tension when there is none. Neither is civil to the other at all. And like someone mentioned earlier, Anders is actually happy when you give Fenris back to Danarius (don't get me started on that either D<). To me that indicates that just kills any potential for them to get together.

Honestly, it's hard for me to see Fenris with anyone but Hawke. I'm only just now accepting Isabela and Fenris together. It's probably wrong of me, but I think there are very few people that are able to give Fenris what he needs to really thrive as a being.

GhostlyMaiden, I've seen that one a while back, and I love it. The song rocks! It has them both in there, but not really 'together'. As I think they are both hot in their own way's, this video is the tops!

A beautifully done pic, that was yet disturbing ( MHawke/Fenris) and a FHwake/Fenris/Seb one. All three, together. Seb would never had been there! Isabela on the other hand.... Don't know about Fenris. The things I make myself look at for science!

Well as I said, I'm only just now starting to come around to the idea. When I first heard that if you don't fully romance Fenris, the two of them will hook up I was all 'DO NOT WANT ' 

Nowadays, I think that it can turn into something sweet, especially if Isabela is anything like how she would if if you had romanced her (being uncertain of her feelings and whatnot). From a writer's perspective, I think it might be interesting to see what would happen if what had simply started off as a 'friends with benefits' situation turned into something more. But that may just be the romantic in me.
