@Upsettingshorts , are you serious?.

It's probably just my frame of reference, but I've literally never heard of the guy until this thread.

Isn't he the guy in Narnia? The Prince Caspian?

Here's Mr. Skarsgaard, for your viewing pleasure: www.youtube.com/watch (mature content warning for some parts, definitely NSFW ;)).

What I love about his accent is how he's perfectly blended it with American to make something that is just divine to listen to. It's why I'm hoping whatever accent Fenris has, it's something that's sorta diluted and mixed with American or English.

Hm, maybe I'm not used to hearing him (I've never watched True Blood, though I've heard good things about it from, yikes, my mom), but his accent is so very slight that it's almost gone. At times I couldn't tell it apart from an American accent at all. Though in general, his voice is nice to listen to. I'm probably inviting problems by saying this, but it reminds me of Brad Pitt's Louis from Interview with the Vampire. The same sort of breathy, low timbre. Very nice.

I wouldn't mind at all if this man voiced Fenris, though I have to admit, I don't personally think of his accent as exotic.

Thanks for pointing him out! The show looks interesting, too. I've been steadfastly avoiding vampire shows of late because, as dumb as it is, I got such crap for years for being into vampires, and now everyone and their cat thinks that they're better than friggin' oxygen. Unfair, I know, but I washed my hands of them for awhile. Anyway, thanks again for digging up the link!

You'd think that if any characters do get trailers, Fenris would be one of them.

Here's a question, all. Do you think Fenris will be the lead male of DA2? Would you like him to be?

I think Varric is actually going to be the lead male, considering he's been in a couple trailers, is the Narrator, and....chesthair doesn't count, does it?

Even though I am a Fengirl, I have to say that Varric is probably the lead, although there's one thing that slightly throws me off. Even though Varric has already been in a couple of trailers and is the Narrator, Fenris has one thing that could give him a larger position then people first think-- Fenris is being written by the lead writer of Dragon Age. Although that could be just me reading too far into things-- Perhaps Fenris was a character Gaider came up with one day and thought he was the only one that could write the character and not to give the idea to another writer on the team and let them see what they could do with Fenris.

Hmm, it'd be nice to preview some more Fenris dialog.

Hah, it would be nice to get a trailer with him... We can keep dreaming...

I ment a trailer with him speaking, like we already got with Varric, since we were talking about accents and stuff. And maybe with Aveline. That girl gets very little love...
And no, I wouldn't really want him to be leading male. He's more like something to get after a competed quest, like Wynne and Oghren were. I mean, broody hotties are awesome, but too much of goodness looses its taste. Or something.
I agree with @Margaret_TheElf, Varric would be exellent leading male. He's a storyteller, isn't he?

Meanwhile back at Bioware HQ:

Dave: I got an idea, what if we have an elf. Who's been a slave that was branded with lyrium that both gives him amnesia and turns him into a living weapon.

Other Guy: That sounds awesome! But all of our teams are busy on getting the other followers ready for the game.

Dave: Oh well, I'll guess I'll have to do it myself.

(Cue epic montage that shows Dave forging his idea into a fully fleshed out character)

Hm, I didn't know that Fenris was being written by, what was it he's being called now? The Grand Poobah? Anyway, I wasn't aware that he was written by him. I knew that Sheryl was writing Isabella and Mary was writing Varric, but I guess I missed who was writing Fenris.

And I know it's been mentioned before, but doesn't it feel weird to refer to the writers and developers by their first names? But if I use both first and last, I feel like I'm reciting a history book on 1857.

Perhaps everyone needs titles. I think Mike Laidlaw should now be known as "Our Fearless Leader."

Anyway, yes, I suppose that could be an argument for Fenris having more of a central role, though I still think it's more likely to be Varric. ;)

I thought Gaider was "Ser Gaider" or the "Lightning Bolt". I must've missed the day he became the "Poobah".

Someone in one of the other threads made a comment about not knowing how to refer to the staff, and the Grand Poobah answered and said that'd he'd settle for being called "The Grand Poobah."

I giggle everytime I type that, which makes my two-almost-three year old come over and say, "Mommy, you okay?" Then he wants to sit on my lap for an hour and watch "Hawke and the Dragon."

Random fact of the day.

I have the magazine and they didn`t say that he is a mage. Its wrong translated, because they were talking about merrill from the dalish origins.

Is Merrill going to be in it? I know the keeper in Dalish Origin is going to , given the fact Flemeth asked Hawk to deliever something to her...

I wonder if this 'package' is Fenris.

Then please go post over there (if you already haven't) that they didn't translate it correctly. It'd make things a lot easier and then they can go talk about Merrill.

Well pcgames wrote that merrill is a companion, so yes. :)

Edit: @DalishAssassin: No problem

I know I probably shouldn't let him watch those videos, but he LOVES them, especially the Destiny one. He knows the words "Hawke, Qunari, Arishok ,Varric, Isabela, Bethany, and Carver", plus a handful of other names from Origins and Awakening (Ohh look mommy! It's Anders!). He would sit on this computer all day if I let him. Little gamer in the making. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/grin.png[/smilie] When I went to the store to buy Halo: Reach for my husband for Christmas, he grabbed a copy of DAII and would not let go until I explained that it was empty, in which case it finally went back to the shelf. As far as he's concerned, Bioware is making this game for him, haha.
Sorry, had to rant about that for a sec. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/love.png[/smilie]

Hm, yeah, must be some sort of mis-translation. Although I'd be fine with mage Fenris, if for some unknown reason it was true. Though, I have to admit, the whole broody thing is slightly more sexy on a warrior. Not sure why that is.

It must be the classic broody warrior thing is very sexy. Like rock music when it's on classic string instruments...

@SgtElias, gosh, that's so cute!

My older youngling still learning halo and jedi at this stage. Perhaps Dragon Age will be the next one on the list.
