I look past the shooter elements and focus more on rpg aspect that is I can freeze/fireball my attackers or go invisible and ninja stab em.
Then again thats just me so I just play a game. But I do love Mass effect for incoporating my insane love for sniper rifles in an rpg form. The long barrel, the wieght of the gun, the pressure to pull the handle, the sound of the bullet whizzing by for a headshot....someone write up fenris as sniper and teaching hawke, I will pay them in...in...the woes of being uncreative.
Funny you should mention that - my canon!Shepard is an infiltrator

You do not want to run into both her and Garrus on overwatch - let's put it that way. *evil*

(Or put both of them over that killbox bridge in his RM...)
*cough* Fenris and DA *cough*
Speaking as one of those who got distracted by ME...I am guessing this is temporary. I love Mass Effect, but I'm a fantasy fan first. I'm working on Asunder right now to scratch my Dragon Age itch, but I haven't finished it yet (LALALALA NO SPOILERS PLEASE!

LALALALALA). I suspect, as Arquen did, my head!canon post Act III may get some revision. We'll see. IIRC Gwenya is your main and a mage, correct? Aniya, not being a mage, may follow another path, but I can't see her being RAWR ALL MAGES MUST DIE - because she never was. She just got really, really tired of just about every mage she met from the Deep Roads on being a blood mage (she calls it the Kirkwall Mage Hello) or batsh!t insane. Anders' degeneration into a wannabe martyr didn't help, and *removed head!canon that I haven't resolved yet. I'll have to rethink that.

I'm still hoping that Bioware will tease something about Dragon Age with the ME3 launch, like a trailer or something. I'll be a bit cranky if it's DAIII and not a continuation/closure chapter for Hawke/Kirkwall, but if that's what happens I'll learn to cope, much as I did from DA:O to DAII. (Heck, I even learned to *like* Hawke a bit and quit resenting her for not being my Warden.
