@Arquen Im just glad I contributed something to the thread that had you think seriously instead of my usual Ahole jokes....so yay for responses.
My only two cents to your wall post would be Snarky and agressive would have tells letting Fenris read them better during certain arguments that come up and how he would get used to reacting to them in various contexts. Say a ****y reply when he rights said out of wounded pride vs a snarky reply? It usually the little things that question my sanity.

You know one thing I think about Fenris is that he doesn't sleep very well. I think he has nightmares, and restless sleep, even after Danarius. At first it is his past and the hunters constantly could be after him, then I see him not being able to rest after Hadrianna and what she said. Not to mention Hawke (if romanced). Then even after Danarius I see him not sleeping well/ having nightmares about his past and what to do now.

I agree with this. I think he doesn't sleep much. At least certainly not before he has been able to kill Danarius. Every night the mansion could be raided by hunters to drag him back... Not easy to fall asleep with that on your mind. And when he does sleep, he'll most likely be haunted by nightmares indeed. Mostly about Danarius, Fog Warriors and such. And romanced Hawke, hehe.
Somehow I imagine poor Fenris might be even more frustrated when he dreams about Hawke in a... romantic way.:P I'd almost say he would prefer Danarius nightmares, at least until he is ready to admit he really loves Hawke.

Scumbag brain has actually come up with something about Fenris sleeping and his markings. If Danarius' survival is indeed essential for "maintaining" the markings, and they become unstable after his death, I suppose that could mean his connection to the Fade will be getting stronger/unstable. Which could then result in it being more difficult to wake Fenris up, to  "pull back" from the Fade so to say.

I might include that in my fic later, but I want a happy ending for poor Fenris and Hawke, and this would actually be a pretty bad thing to happen, with the markings becoming uncontrollable. I really do have a scumbag brain. xD

Just have mage Hawke somehow figure out how to control or (even better) neutralize the markings for him ^_^

I agree that Fenris probably doesn't sleep well. I've always assumed he was a light sleeper, due in large part to his duties for Danarius. As a bodyguard he'd have to be available instantly, which I imagine doesn't offer much time for proper rest.
And once free from Danarius, being on the run, and the fact that he would have been a poor sleeper for so long, I doubt he'd be able to break from the habit.

If Fenris had only been a male LI, I would have been is best friend. I usually don't play male if female leads are available, so we would have just been great friends. I do really love his character and story line.

Agreed on all points, but I do have something to add. Fenris mentions that Hadrianna would 'hound (my) sleep' so I guess that's another thing that would have conditioned him to be a light/restless sleeper.

Same, it probably would have killed me. But I just find it easier to immerse myself in a game when I'm playing as a woman.

I just started ANOTHER PT of DA2, and Fenris fell in combat (I'm playing
on Hardcore).  I had rarely taken Carver with me before, but decided
that this time I'd use him (and I bought the full item pack on 360).
Anyway, when Fenris fell, my crusty little brother said "your pet elf
has fallen"!!  WTF??  I had NEVER heard that before!  And I'm WAY back
in ActI - probably not even half way through!!  I couldn't believe it!
I'm glad Carver let me know, but PET??  So insulting!!

OMG!!! :o I've never heard that before either!  God Carver is such a little bastard.  Hmph.  He's just jealous.  We all know Carver has a THING for elves.  Okay, I'm just making that up; I couldn't see Carver going for Fenris in a million years.  Although I would love to see him try, just to see the look of shock followed by patronizing smile on Fenris' face.

I say someone has to die in the Deep Roads on this PT to make up for that nasty little comment :P

this is interesting, i didn't know that. i wonder if he makes those same comments any other time he is in the party with you? it's also weird because the romances doesn't really kick off until other acts, doesn't it?

Yeah, and therefore I think Carver's comment is actually not romance-related. Fenris' romance is non-existent at that point, so it just can't be, as far as I understand.

i'm wondering if it's recognition of your friendship with him instead? maybe it's because hawke has his friendship with fenris and high rivalry with carver? i could see why carver may say something then because fenris has made it pretty clear he doesn't like mages yet he and hawke are all buddy buddy.

The romance has definitely not kicked in. I'm "friendly" to Fenris, but I don't think I've done enough of the story yet. And I actually have been "friending" Carver as well. I think he just enjoys being a prat, and he's definitely playing the role of annyoing little brother perfectly. I haven't had time to play since, but since I plan on carting Carver & Fenris on most missions, I'll keep an ear open for other interesting tidbits!

Edit for a page lacking in Fenris!

Oohhh, I love pics like that. My deviant art favorites are filled with them. xD I'm not sure whether I am allowed to post them here, though. On none of them you actually see the intimate parts, but they're still sexy. ^_^

That's actually just brilliant. I already had this idea that they would go to Tevinter then to search for a solution, but... my evil brain almost automatically shifts towards the inevitable doom in that situation. Lol.

Ah well, I'll have plenty of time to brood over this, my story is not there yet. First have to figure out how Fenris has actually managed to find Varania. That's a mystery to me as well. In my mind he has asked Varric for help, and we know at some point he informs Aveline as well. But that's still a big leap to actually tracking one poor elven tailor.

If Fenris had been a male only LI, I would have been disappointed because none of my Fem Hawkes would have had a partner, I can't do the Anders romance. But I still would love his character. I love how much he grows as an individual. And all of my Hawkes would cherish his friendship.

Well I do get around as a ghost of sorts, but Im mostly a fly on the wall.

Speaking of fly on the wall and the maintaing lyrium, would it be considered a bad idea for a blood mage hawke who kept danraius alive, but heavily tortured to get the info needed about said lyrium

I mean it be a great chance to show how Hawke would go to great lengths to protect her lover/husband/friend, but what would the consequences for such a act...and should fenris find out. Hmmmm better get back to painting.

Torturing Danarius is never a bad idea.

You know, the whole protecting Fenris and keeping things from him would make for a great story ;) I'm sorry I'm being rotten. LOL!

Seriously, I think they should have kept Hadrianna alive for information purposes. Danarius just needed to die. How can a half-elven man be so ugly?

What are you painting?

I don't think Hadrianna would of been helpful to some extent still noneed to waste a resource.

(Im painting a homework assignment involving metaphors and IM drawing a nude man sitting down in an escorche drawing...It helps to think its ol fenboy because this pictured modeled has the same lanky muscle type as him. Doesnt help I have to get it done by Monday on the latter and Friday on the former.)

Torturing Danarius a bad idea? Of course it's not a bad idea! Suffering is what that man deserves.  Very cool idea actually.Hehe, Danarius hidden in the basement.

I've checked out images by Savvid now and I have to share this one, because I thought it was very sweet.

You know what bugged me about that whole scene with Hadrianna. Why didn't he ask her more questions? She would have answered and if she didn't, he could have just cut bits and pieces off of her until he got a satisfactory reply.

Mmmmmmmmm thinking of Fenris naked now. Is Fenris's body a challenge for artists to draw? I know that sounds stupid, but seriously, is lanky harder to draw than meaty? That sounded all kinds of wrong. But I'm really not trying to be perverted for once.

I want to see your drawings some time. I 'll bug you about it later.

Im replying in deviation since drawing from scale off a photo is a mite ****...so many erase markings to make it right. But my answer about body types is this:Variation is key and some types work for certain people.

Then again I doubt the game would go out into whole right torture, because it is an awful thing to do that leaves an awful mark on both torture and torturer. _Zaeed.

It was just way too traumatic/emotional a scene for him to think rationally.

Oh come on, it would have been great. He could have cut off Hadrianna's arm and beat her with it and then Hawke could have cut off a leg and helped. The imagery has caused a giggling fit.

It's really hard to tell with Fenris sometimes. He's such a calm and collected fellow. He seemed more upset after sexytime with Hawke than he did with Hadrianna.

DLC Mercenary from Mass Eeffect 2.

But yeah that does seem excessive just to get someone to tell you anything.

Granted to momo it was an emotional turnout....its like catching the person who stole from the cookied jar. You cant think clearly back on the articulate argument you ran through your head when all you can think is "BLARGH Why you take my cookie!?"

That and even if I did hate hadriana I would go dilpomatic to make sure Fenris doesnt become what he hates. Even at the cost of some morbid closure a persons mental health comes first through healthier means.
