I don't think of myself as Hawke either (that would be weird; I am not used to role-playing so it's strange to me), but it annoys me that the version of the story I'm trying to create doesn't really gel together in that one crucial moment.

Nah, I don't see that. Especially since Fenris is the one who initiates it, either by smacking Hawke against the wall or by starting the kis (I think that's what happens when you do QB after Bitter Pill?). The act of love-making in itself was pleasurable for Fenris, I still dn't doubt that part. What makes the experience too much is everything else that comes with it and he suddenly has to deal with: his memory returning, the feelings that being with Hawke in this way brings up, believing he is not worthy of being with Hawke in this way... that's what makes him freak out. Besides, we don't really know whether Hawke actually takes control of the entire evening. All we get after the kiss is a black screen. Fenris grabbed Hawke's buttocks. Who know what else he grabbed later? Ahem. My point is, maybe Fenris did make the second move, mabye he started the undressing. I think that's possible.

Pushing Fenris against the wall is Hawke's way of making clear he/she has been wanting to do this with Fenris for quite some time now. It is a result of all the tension that has been building op between them. Fenris feels the same way, since he pushes Hawke as well. I think they both lose control at that moment. It's not really Hawke messing up.

Edit: dear Maker my internet is slow. I would have been top when I had not been forced to rewrite my post. Grrr.

Absolutely!  I was not impressed from the beginning that they used the same scene for male/female Hawke, but it hadn't occurred to me to adjust it based on personality.  That would be even better!

I think part of the reason *I* don't like the wall slam when Fenris returns (I never do the glowy kiss for some reason) is because of that startled shocked expression on Fen's face when Hawke pins him against the wall, it looks like he is full of terror and the last thing Hawke wants to do is scare him off after it took so long to get to this point... although Fen grabbing Hawek's behind is very cute and smexy

(I try to write Hawke instead of him/her. I've only done the FemHawke x Fenris but that's simply because my only MaleHawke rivalmanced Merrill, I plan to try the MxFen and MxAnders soon)

I agree that Fenris wants to take their "relationship" at HIS pace, rather
than Hawke's. Especially considering the first time my Hawke met him
she flirted (dirty girl!).

I agree with both of your assessments. Basing it on personality would have been a great solution. Probably the best solution. But *cough* I won't mention how little time Fenris's smexiness got compared to the others.

Oh I so agree about the shocked expression. That's it exactly. His little eyes roll around and he looks like a piece of meat being tossed about. I don't do the glowy kiss either. I get so disappointed when the lovely kiss he starts ends up with her wall slamming him. <_<

Did you get the feeling that he's trying to figure out what to do when he is grabbing her bottom? Don't get me wrong, it is smexy as hell. He just looked unsure.

It's his chipmunk cheeks xD  I basically start with the bald-headed Hawke IMMEDIATELY after default Hawke.  (It is basically the same face as default Hawke only without hair.)  From there, I bring in the jaw (default Hawke has a very strong, masculine jaw) and puff out the cheek bones.  It gives him a sweet baby face.

Then I give him some scruff to macho him up a bit 

So he always looks very sweet and intent, but at the same time he's drop dead gorgeous  I use this base face for most of my Hawke's and just change up the hair style, hair color, skin color, and eye color.  I can spend hours deciding on a hair color and matching eyes >.>

In my case, I see my mage Hawke being a virgin, which makes it interesting if she has to take the lead with Fenris.  My rogue Hawke would probably be a little more worldly, so she'd be able to point him in the right direction if he got a little lost 

My idea is opposable - I think a mage Hawke would be more experienced since they are often more curious and experimental and rogues are more disciplined and guarded?

I think your opinion on this is noteworthy.  However, I don't think he actually 'planned' to have sex on the night they did.  Did he?  When Fenris said, 'Perhaps on some other evening' or something, I thought he was blowing her off.  So, on the night they do it it's rather unexpected.  It happens immediately after he kills Hadrianna. One night only. 

I think Fenris is blinded by his trauma to really approach an intimacy with Hawke. He takes a lot of baby steps by opening up to her slowly - like a flower. However, the sex is abrupt - in every sense of the word. 

A normal woman or man would lose interest in an elf like Fenris because he's too damaged, too angry, too broody.  I think a man or woman would fall in love with Fenris but that relationship couldn't actually be sustained.  I mean, intimacy every 3 years? Gafwawaahh!!   They would emotionally starve to death waiting around for Fenris to exact his revenge and manage his dark passenger called HATE.

I can't get that damn cutscene where Fenris is aggressive and asks Hawke to command him to go <_< and I'm on the near 100% rival I did get the kiss and morning after scenes, but I don't know how to trigger that damn aggressive Fenris:

Fenris: I can't stop thinking about you. Command me to go and I shall.

Omgg!! I WANTED THIS SCENE BAD!!  This is the most initiative Fenris takes in their relationship and I can't get it to trigger

I wish Bioware developers had given us more options to build or strengthen relationships - but though this is EA Games, it isn't The Sims so, no whoopie making options.

I only get a sexually aggresssive Fenris once and that's if you get the cutscene "Command me to Go and I shall" and he grabs her for a kiss. A scene I CANNOT TRIGGER BTW. 

Otherwise, he's rather passive.  She kisses him and slams him against the wall. His wall slam is threatening (not sexy).  He has this look of shock, as if "Oh, no. This is Hawke! What am I doing". And then she kisses his chin and neck - I think the kissing is better if Hawke is a guy - u notice that when it's a m!Hawke, the kisses are on the mouth - but F!Hawke the kisses are all over the neck and face?

Hmmph. Let me not go there and start something bad.

you have to skip the glowly kiss, don't do the last flirt option 'don't go', he'll walk away and then later show up again and deliver the line you want to hear
quick , go reload and do it, do it now, it's worth it!

I have a thing for nice Elvhen ears.  Fenris' ears are sexy and I wonder if the tips are sensitive? Some of the elves in the game have horrid ears - they look like extra-terresterial lifeforms.  But Fenris' ears are the right size, length and shape. 

Also, I'm curious: when elvhen women give birth - do they have a problem wtih their baby's ears? I mean- some of these elf ears are angled OUT at like 120 degrees - how the hell do you give birth SAFELY to that??? 

Just curious. Do you know the answers or have any thoughts on this, Motomotogirl?
