This made me giggle. I admit, back when I first played DAO I was playing blind and not wiki-ing everything in advance the way I do now. The thing at the whatsit is a large part of the reason why I now DO wiki a lot of things in advance. Less overall plot, but because I am crazy I have genuine affection for my pexel people and I don't like it when they behave unexpectedly.

Ghost_Nappa  - I haven't played Awakening yet, but it sounds like Nathaniel is something to look forward to. I did like the glimpse of him in DA2, so I can imagine how much more handsome he must have been on the Origins engine.

Ngaww, poor Alistair, I still love him. I think the fact that he would still sacrifice himself for you even after dumping you after the landsmeet more than makes up for it. *sniff sniff* he's still my favourite LI, that "maker's breath you're beautiful" line still gets me all the time. Sorry Fenris!! Dw, I still love me a broody sexy dude. 
Its funny how different these LI's are though... hmm I wonder how these sexy men can possible be so affective on me?
I have to agree with Nathaniel though, he's whole seeking of redemption thing after being all "My father was a great man - its war, i dont care what you say!" thing was a really nice peice character progression. But wow is he hard to hate! I really wish we saw/ will see more of him.

Well, yes technically it's possible to do jello jockstrap wrestlin with them, though it would probably turn out looking like one model with two heads and several body parts ROFL you know I can put Zev's head on Fenris's body. I don't have Zev's head but if I did I could.  That would just be messed up.

I'm a big Zevran fan, since we're talking about him. I was trying to explain DAO to my grandfather a few weeks ago, and when I was talking about the romance options, he laughed when I told him that I prefer the elf that was raised in a ****house. But, dear Maker, Zevran and I'd have fun with all the suggestive conversations. 

I don't know what it is, but I really prefer the elf romance options in both games.  Don't get me wrong, I like the other LIs just fine, but there's something about Fenris and Zevran that get to me. Maybe its the fact that they're not seen in reality (at least not where I live ).

And y'all aren't old bags. I'd like to think of you as being a fine wine, only getting better with age.

Now where's Fenris when you need him?

It's the ears. I swear when I see Fenris sitting in his chair and you see the back of his head with those little points sticking up. Awwww it's just gorgeous.

Zevran looks much better in DAO and he has some (ridiculously) awesome lines. I actually prefer the silent Warden over the Voiced Hawke, but that's cause I hear Warden's voice in my head as I choose the line. 

@ Aldien - since you've never played DAO before, I'm curious to hear what you think of how the dialogue works, I prefer DAO. Also.. you get to pick your race - FTW!

Oh that comic was priceless. Fenris's posture was spot on and I loved Zev's reactions to him. Plus, the fact Fenris's expression never changed. That person is a genius.

There are advantages to not having the PC voice. Skyrim doesn't bother, but Skryim has a lousy story line so it doesn't really matter in that case. But I am curious to see this silent psychopathic behaviour Moto warned me about.

You do get to pick your race? So, I can be a hot sexy elf? Why didn't they do that for DA2? It would have been interesting to see how Fenris would have reacted to falling in love with another elf. Damn!

Really, Nathaniel is a babe.  One of the few male characters I felt genuinely attracted to and didn't mind shipping with a woman (the Dalish Keeper from Awakening).

Well the censored version... I'd make him dinner, because he looks like a man who would appreciate apple pie. Then I'd get him drunk on some fine wine. Finally, I'd have a bath with him and then... well there's youngin's on here so I can't say.

I can't speak for everyone here, but I think part of the thing with Zevran/Isabela in DA2 stems from the fact that Zev's dialogue is bugged (like Fenris' is in Legacy). He doesn't acknowledge if he was in a relationship with an imported Warden. My first complete DAO import had him in a romance with Allegheny Cousland, with her going after him after the events of Awakening, and Fenris still offers to get to know Hawke better. Ally is not gonna be happy when she finds out, I promise you. <_<

1. Name the top three things you love most about Fenris.
First is the way he talks. I don't mean his voice, but rather his words. After some of his dialogues, if I were Hawke I'd have to walk away before I succumbed to my desire to drag him off somewhere and have my filthy way with him:devil:
The second thing I love about him is his chuckling. It really is adorable, and I find myself struggling not to hit on him right after we help him. I would have no problem in spending my entire time trying to make him laugh.

The third thing I love is his bluntness. He knows that he could say a whole manner of things to comfort Hawke after All that Remains, but he simply says there's no point in offering false words of comfort. Having to deal with people telling me what I want to hear most of the time, I can appreciate his straightforwardness. 


2. What was your favorite scene with Fenris? Why?
Oh lord, there are too many. Anything with Fenris in it makes me happy. I think my absolute favorite scene would have to be when he wants Hawke to promise not to die in the endgame. I love picking the sarcastic option ("I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch that") and having Fenris go "Then let me make it clearer for you." followed by the best kiss in the entire game. That would definitely be one of those moments where I'd want to drag him off for smexy times. 


3. What would you do for Fenris on Valentine's Day? Where would go etc etc
Goodness, I don't know. I would almost want him to do something for me. If I had to do something, though, I'd probably start the day with bringing him breakfast in bed. Then the rest of the day, if we didn't have prior commitments, would be spent doing whatever he wants to do. Perhaps I'd help him with his reading, if he were still struggling with it. Other than that, it'd be whimsical.
 

4. Who is sexier Fenris or Zev?
  You monster! How could you make me choose? I can't do it.











...... okay, if I really have to answer this, I'm gonna have to go with Fenris. I have it in my head that he doesn't really understand how attractive he is. Zevran knows that he's hot and has no problem exploiting it. Fenris, however, is a little more naive. When you flirt with him, he flirts back, but doesn't immediately act on his attraction to you. He asks if you'll have a problem being with him, even admitting his lack of expirence (or knowledge of expirence). Something about that I find incredibly sexy.

It's a bug.  If your Warden romances Zevran in DA:O, the romance does not import, and Zevran will still sleep with Isabela if she's in your party or Hawke if his/her love interest is not in the party.

Hmm, this is hard.  He's such a great character.  I love how vulnerable he is, despite the fact that (at least in my head) he's older than Hawke (I have a thing for m/m pairings where the vulnerable one is the older guy, hehe).  I like that he's grumpy and gruff; makes him ripe for teasing!  And I love that he grows as a person; even though he disagrees with Hawke in the end, he will still support him/her.


2. What was your favorite scene with Fenris? Why? 
Of course, my absolute favorite scene is the Gallows kiss.  When Hawke puts his (have to say "his" this time since I'm talking about my specific playthrough) arms around that tiny waist and pulls him close, I just sigh.


3. What would you do for Fenris on Valentine's Day? Where would go etc etc 
I would rent him and Hawke either a cabin in the woods or a hotel at some fine spa in Orlais.


4. Who is sexier Fenris or Zev? 
Well since I don't find Fenris all that sexy (as a straight woman) I have to go with Zevran.  He's not my type either, but I do like to stare at his legs...  Aghghgh rogues and their leather skirts, sigh.

- His expressions(Fenspressions)! They're magnificent.
- His sense of humor. SarcastiHawke can be a bit much at times, but Fenris just jokes/teases right back at him/her.
- Straight-forwardness. He never lies, and is completely honest without being hurtful.

2. What was your favorite scene with Fenris? Why?

  Probably the talk after "Alone", pretty much equally between Friendship and Rivalry versions. You really get a little bit of everything of his character in that scene, depending on which dialogue options you choose.
And, y'know... the 'speaking in Tevene/whateverit'scalled' on Rivalry.

3. What would you do for Fenris on Valentine's Day? Where would go etc etc

I'd probably try and make tiramisu for him... and fail miserably because I'm a terrible cook/baker.  
Probably try and make it up to him by taking him to the wounded coast, or something. Dunno if he would appreciate camping out for the fun of it, though.
(I'm terrible at those sorts of things. Hopefully he takes any attempts I would make well, or we would just be in a terrible, awkward mess.  )

The great thing about Zevran is definitely his sense of humor. His party banter has cracked me up so many times. It is just pure gold. But underneath that layer of deflective humor there is a good person with an unfortunate past (he has that in common with Fenris). I won't spoil things for you, you should have the pleasure to get to know all the companions by yourself.

You do. You can be a human, elf or dwarf. Depending on your race and class you can then pick your origin as well (dalish elf or city elf are the choices you have when you are an elf. ell, and the mage origin, but then you're a mage, obviously) And I think the reason they gave for not including it in DA2 was... that not many people chose to play another race than human. I really don't get that. If I have the chance to play and elf, it's the first thing I do. I wonder if it's actually true most people only played a human. 
And DA2 was rushed, as you know by know. So just allowing one option for the main character saves a lot of time and effort.

 I'd probably head up to the Wounded Coast as well.  Picnic, swim, do naughty things in a meadow, in the forest, in the water....but I'd end the day with having him read to me while my head rested on his chest.  Mmmm, that voice....*fans self*

I'm in the minority here apparently but FENRIS.  Maker!  I can't even explain it. 
I NEVER found Zevran attractive at all.  I did his romance once in DA:O just to do it, but Alistair had won my heart a long time before Zev showed up.

I like how he paces, how he's antsy and on edge. Makes me want to wrap my arms around him and say soothing words "shhh Fenris, it will be all right, everything will work out, we'll kill those tevinter slavers.."

His eyes, the way he looks at Hawke from under the hair, the way they react, so much expression was done in his eyes. very powerful

3rd, it's a tie between his voice, the way he speaks with such gravity and suredness (is that a word?) or the way he is open to take a look at his own beliefs and say 'you have a point...'
 
2. What was your favorite scene with Fenris? Why?

The gallows kiss. The whole gallows scene, he shows affection to Hawke in front of everyone and is not holding back at all.

3. What would you do for Fenris on Valentine's Day? Where would go etc etc

Take him on a quiet picnic in the woods (elves like trees right? tra-la-la) with a bottle of wine or two and some fine cheese, but not the type that tastes of despair.

Whenever Fenris smiles. He has an adorable smile. And an adorable chuckle. He's so adorable.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S everyone. I haven't been on the thread in ages. Personal reasons and all that. Anyways, just dropping in and I see there are some questions! I do like questions, heh.

Also, SmaiLika07 is my hero, she just recently got her tablet back, and the arts will begin again. If only I could draw Fenris like she can... *sigh.*

Hard to narrow it down but I would have to say his blunt personality and how he can really make you think with his profound statements, his Fenspressions and the emotional growth he experiences in the game, his ability to be funny and deadpan a joke -- an undying sense of humor which shows a glimmer of his true self underneath his personal barriers.

2. What was your favorite scene with Fenris? Why?

The Fog Warriors. I have actually thought a lot about this, and whenever I watch that scene I still get chills. I get enraptured in the story. I get lost in the emotional expressions he conveys. I get butterflies and goosebumps when he flirts and says "with you it might be different..." -- every time. I go through that scene with him, and afterwards I feel so proud and priviledged and just floored that he shared that with me. It's like I fall in love with his character all over again, and I want to know more about him, and I want to see him grow and even though he kicks you out there is that piece there now. That build-up to the "one day," and the mutual respect and FEELINGS you have for one another. There is so much of Fenris in that one scene, and despite it not having a kiss or a sexy times, it's very emotional and just opens up so much for both Hawke and Fenris.

3. What would you do for Fenris on Valentine's Day? Where would go etc etc

See my fic ---> In Victory, Wine... Though on Valentine's Day there would probably be rose petals and apples involved.

4. Who is sexier Fenris or Zev?

Although I like Zev, he isn't a favorite of mine and so hands down easy to answer -- Fenris. It isn't just his looks, and in fact his looks are the last thing about him that I find attractive (even though I do find him extremely physically attractive it took time for me). Zev loses sexy points from me because he is so in your face flirtatious and "sexy." That's a complete turn off for me. I much prefer the reserved and brooding demeanor with the anti-hero like story and personality. Fenris offers you no smoke and mirrors and no mind games or deflections. He is pretty much what you see is what you get, and I love that about him.

My favorite scene with Fenris is when they make up, because the kiss in that scene is extremely sincere.  Hawke has that little smile on their face that says: he is all mine.

Well the censored version... I'd make him dinner, because he looks like a man who would appreciate apple pie. Then I'd get him drunk on some fine wine. Finally, I'd have a bath with him and then... well there's youngin's on here so I can't say.

How you have to win him over, his surprising amount of emotional growth, and how devoted a friend or romance partner he is once you win him over.  

2. What was your favorite scene with Fenris? Why?
Aw man, I have to pick one? 

I have to go with the Fog Warriors confession scene. It is such a tremendous breakthrough between Fenris and Hawke, and it shows just how much Fenris has come to trust him/her.  I can't blame him for being drunk telling Hawke about that - I think I would have to be too.  His emotions are just a little bit closer to the surface, and I just love tthe insight from that scene.

I've head!canoned that Aniya found a place overlooking Kirkwall where it's actually beautiful at night when the weather cooperates. While I don't have time to write out anything elaborate right now, I imagine it would involve raiding the Hawke Estate's (and perhaps Fenris's) wine cellar, strawberries, and ... yeah. You all have good imaginations. XD

4. Who is sexier Fenris or Zev?  For me, Fenris. No question.
