I agree with you that warriors are boring. Rogue and mage is much more fun to play. But you should at least try to make your warrior less boring by making him look good, haha.
Aaand top again.

^Like I said, Fenris is set on 'aggressive' by default, as is Isabela. This means they will attack as soon as an enemy appears and will automatically rush into battle. If you would like to have Fenris defend your Hawke, you can set it up in his tactics (enemy attacking Hawke --> attack).
>.< I know that; I was just trying to prove it lol People were thinking that Fenris "by defaul" will protect Hawke, but I just knew this wasn't true.
*sigh* I'm so bored with my warrior Hawke. I even gave him a boring hair cut. (the same one my elf mage in my avatar is wearing.) Being a warrior is so ... boring *pout* And in the cut scenes with Fenris, I kept looking at Hawke, wondering, how is Fenris supposed to fall in love with this BORING looking guy?
Do you guys find yourself using the same hair style over and over? I always use the spiky hair, either the one Seamus has (big spiky, I call it) or the one immediately after it, (little spiky) ... Captain Ewald (sp?) at the beginning of the game has that hair. Anyway, they both look hot on my baby-faced Hawke's, and after using them, nothing else seems to look good.
I know you guys play mostly girls, though, so maybe making your Hawke's look hot is not as important *rubs chin* The character creation screen is such a crisis situation for me LOL I can spend hours there. I return to the Black Emporium to rework Hawke's hair and eyes at least a dozen times in game. And then I'll try out the new look on some other random character, and if I like it, then I'll go talk to Fenris
Nothing ruins a Fenris cut scene like a fugly Hawke <_<

That's one of the reasons I have trouble playing a male. I can't get them to look appealing to me. I'll start a game and the entire time be like 'Why is that NPC better looking? How come I can't get my Warden/Hawke to look like that?' The only male PC I have managed to keep all the way until the end is my Cousland, and that's because my sister wanted me to play him. If not for her, I'd probably have left him before Lothering.

Is default tactics the same across platforms? I'm on PS3 and Fenris is always near my Hawke - this is by default. I don't know if romancing him matters since i'm in Act I and he's always comign over to battle my engagements.
I particuarly notice then when I fight at night in Kirkwall - Docks, Hightown, Lowtown, etc.

As to the feathers . . . while they look like actual feathers in the concept art, in the actual in-game model, they don't look like feathers anymore; they look like leather spikes cut to resemble feathers. They have a leather texture, and match the colour of the leather of his armour. This is upheld by several in-game references to Fenris having spiky armour, which make no sense if those 'spikes' are actually feathers.I'd guess that they're largely decorative, but serve a purpose as well; a bit of extra protection for his shoulders and forearms.

Sorry for the quality of some of these pics; on the 360.
I adore my boys, but love my gals too. Variety is the spice of life.

I wouldn't know for certain, but I doubt they are different. I am only familiar with the PC game though. But tactics would certainly not differ between day and night. That makes no difference for the fights at all, nor does the location. Tactics are always the same.

My gameplay: Wherever I'm fighting, Fenris runs over to help at some point. I don't set his tactics - this is how he plays in default mode. *CLARIFY* If I'm playing melee characters. I remember what he does when I play Mage.
Fenris is usually the only warrior (unless I'm playing warrior) in my company.

Agree about the armor -- Varric says he's "covered in spikes like a porcupine", which wouldn't make sense if the spikes were feathers! I assumed they were leather as well. From the closeups, it looks like the chest plate is metal and the pauldrons, etc. of his armor are leather plates, cut in spikey shapes.
I imagine it makes snuggling in armor all but impossible!

Could I romance your Hawkes? Jaxis and Ezriel. Oh, Maker!

I'd say that "covered in spikes" is more a metaphor for Fenris' broody-/moodyness and his problems. Varric is not warning Hawke for Fenris' armor.

It's true that he is warning Hawke away from Fenris' "baggage" so to speak, but that baggage is nicely represented by his very, very spiky armor. A cute little metaphorical connection I'm not surprised Varric would make!

If you are on a console, which I think I've seen you post that you are on the 360(?), best way to get a good shot with a camera/camera phone I have found is using the following tips: If you can play during the daytime and can open up some blinds to let in natural light (without it glaring on the tv screen, of course), and have overhead lights on, then you can usually get some descent shots. The more I experimented with taking pics (from HTC EVO phone), the better they got. Ezriel's pic was one of my first pictures I ever took...hence it ain't so good.
Would love to have the screenies that the pc players or the 360 people who bought the screen capture add-on, but I make do with what I got.

*wiggles fingers at coldy's boys*
The problem is, no matter what my light source or how light or dark the screen, I always get the wavy/wiggly lines when I try to take a pic of my TV = I'm convinced it has to do with the age of both TV (2003) and camera (...2009ish?). My equipment is old and crappy!!! This is the one decent pic I ever got of Eirik Hawke (he is romancing Fenris of course ... lucky elf!):
And here is a cute one of Lachland Hawke with his LI Anders:
