Meh, I am very not pleased with the "no coincidence" disappearance of Hawke in the end. Stupid cliffhanger with no use whatsoever. It actually prevents you from coming up with adventures for Hawke to go on with Fenris, because obviously something specific has happened. That he disappears could be that he is hiding, but the "no coincidence" part of Leliana turns it into some big mysterious plot. I'm fine with a plot like that, but there is no use in throwing it in at the very end. It only serves as shameless marketing for the next game then. YOU'LL HAVE TO BUY DA3 TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED. LOOOOOL.

@ Renjility - agreed. That line in particular bothers me, but.......I started disregarding it a while back (not a huge Leliana fan, and I stopped paying attention to her part in DA2 after the first couple play throughs). Soooooo, with that line outta my head....I can easily make stuff up.

I was just thinking, they really should finish that expansion or take what they have and turn it into a smaller Ending DLC. Give us a little something to chew on while they spend the next couple of years making the next DA game. I have to admit, I'm a bit worried about the possibility of no importing. Even if the importing of DAO into DA2 was limited (yes, I believe they could have made content and connection to the two games better), it was still something, and gave me reason to continue to make new Wardens and Hawkes.

If they take away the importing, AND give me no new DA2 content, then saving old characters and even making new ones, falls flat. No real motivation. Damn.....why'd I have to put all my RPG's in one basket (BW)?!?!?!

I think I can reassure you a bit on the import issue. David Gaider replied on a thread about this, and he said they were still planning to use imports from the previous games. Of course there is still the possibility they decide to get rid off it, but for now it seems they are planning to honor our Warden and Hawke. So there is hope yet!

Ahhhh....thank you!  Hopefully they won't change their minds on this.  Good; now maybe I have more of a motivation to finish the four Wardens I have sitting in DAO, that I haven't completed yet.  Which, of course, means I have four more Hawkes to make as well.....fun times!

Still want the expansion/ending DLC....

Yup, I have Fenris voice clips as text/email/app alerts on my iPhone.  My husband understands it (he actually does Fenris impressions to cheer me up, bless him!) but nobody else gets it at all.  I get really odd looks when we have friends over and my phone goes off...

@coldwetn0se - I know, my husband is pretty damn awesome.  It's become one of our in-jokes now that nobody gets, lol he's very good at the little grumbling noise Fenris makes after he laughs at you asking how he'd decorate his walls without the wine.  He says sometimes when I text him he hears it as Lady Hawke in his head...

I have come to start trouble because I simply don't give a damn that I said my goodbyes. I've wanted to reach 2,000 posts for some time. I guess, it's kind of like the last stand at the Alamo. We know we are defeated but let's fight to the end. It's kind of weird that Bioware ignores the active LI forums. Personally, I think Fenris could be a LI in DA3. Maybe Hawke ran away with the dwarf. We could romance the elf all over again.

So... do you think David Gaider will write about Fenris in one of his books? I've become more of a story convert than a game convert. I'm tempted to ask him.

 @ aldien: aw, come on, don't be so pessimistic! We are not defeated. Fenris is still alive and kicking in many fics and art! Although I suppose when it comes to DA2 in general, yeah, we have been abandoned. Hawke has mysteriously disappeared, just as the Warden, which is "no coincidence", so it could be that Fenris is lonely again. But he will not be a LI again in the next game. They will simply not do that. The most important part of his story and struggle is over (I'm not saying I am done with Fenris),  and many people will not appreciate it if their Hawke turns out to be not Fenris' true love. I have to say I feel that way. Hawke is the one who pulled Fenris through most of his issues, the one who stood by his side to kick Danarius' ass. What would the new protagonist have to offer that beats that?
@ Ghost: ... I have no words.... hahaha. xDAnd Fenris is very flexible. :happy:

Concerning Fenris' possible reappearance in DA3, whatever they do, they better not pull another Jacob. Among all the other problems with ME3, that was just totally uncalled for. At least, my reassurance is that 1) Jacob was very unpopular as an LI, which is not Fenris' case, and 2) even if he was unpopular, they saw how "well" it went down.

I'd much rather keep fond memories of a romanced Fenris than see him reappear and be bugged like Zevran or having left Hawke like Jacob. However, if Hawke didn't romance Fenris...why not? That being said, I still think it's more likely that they'd bring Varric back: he'd be much easier to implement, and now that they know many people would like him to be an LI, maybe they could give it a shot? I mean, they already have Anders (and Tali and Garrus in ME) as a precedent of a non-LI becoming an LI.
