But he will not be a LI again in the next game. They will simply not do that. The most important part of his story and struggle is over (I'm not saying I am done with Fenris),  and many people will not appreciate it if their Hawke turns out to be not Fenris' true love. I have to say I feel that way. Hawke is the one who pulled Fenris through most of his issues, the one who stood by his side to kick Danarius' ass. What would the new protagonist have to offer that beats that?

I thought... wait that is his default armor. I was absolutely convinced until I looked in my bioware folder. I've been playing him with the same mod for almost as long as I have owned the game. Needless to say I love that mod. It just added some simple changes to the design that I thought lent itself well to the character. It added studs to a... stud (oh that was awful)

It was SG's Fenris armor by LapisLazzuli on DANexus... I don't think the file is still there though. If you want it let me know.

D'aww, you know what I mean. That Fenris lives on in the fandom doesn't mean it's not sad that Bioware has dropped the rest of DA2. Not much to be optimistic or pessimistic about. It's just the way it is. Unfortunately.

That's precisely my problem with the pairing: there don't seem to be any feelings involved, and while Isabela may be fine with it, I can't help thinking that Fenris is missing out.

So it's actually because I'd like an unromanced Fenris to be happy with someone that I dislike the pairing. And I definitely don't see her having the patience or the inclination to teach him to read.

But different strokes, and all that.

Strangely, the biggest issue I have with Isabela is when she is willing to bargain with Castillon for the ship. My logic (which is scary) says that would pretty much be the end of any type of relationship between Fenris and Isabela, even if Hawke intervenes. Her true colors really show in that mission.

I clicked on Fenris after the mission and he said: I don't want to talk about it. And you get a big fat 10 rivalry points if you let Isabela make the trade. More than anything, they don't seem compatible. Fenris has trust issues and she's not exactly a beacon of honesty. Just my 2 cents worth

And I agree with Nilfalasie, I'd want to see Fenris happy and not just settle for whatever comes along.

Same here. The "let's have sex" mentality is not something I can fit in Fenris' personality. It's really not that I am a jealous fangirl or something like that. If it had been Zevran, I would have totally understood it when he hooked up with Isabela when I hadn't romanced either of them. But it DOESN'T FIT with Fenris. Alright, sorry for the caps. xD It's just... I like Fenris, I like Isabela, in art they can look cute together, but my mind cannot understand... cannot understand.

Alden you ***king beauty!  I have ALWAYS felt the Castillion bargaining scene to be very revealing (and this from someone who really does like Isabela).  I NEVER let her have the boat, even though by then Fenris is maxed in either direction (all friendship except for one rilvalmancy), and it wouldn't really matter.  For RP purposes though, I never let that one slide.

Both excellent points there. Isabela's little business with Castillon completely skipped my mind. I can't imagine that kind of thing would sit well with Fenris at all. There's also the slight issue of her "genius" escapade with the Tome of Koslun.

...and the one red headed option I cant have, but will grudgingly let go for Donnic. Cant hate the man he's buddies with Fenris.

Well, keep in mind that if HAWKE does all these terrible pro-slavery things, all the game does is award you rivalry points.  So Fenris doesn't leave Hawke if s/he does the reprehensible things; he just somehow comes to "agree to disagree" with him/her.

Which is one of the reasons I detest the rivalry "romance."  It's pretty ridiculous and poorly written/planned out.

Hear hear, if anything even when rivaled it should of let Fenris take inative over certain things that just cross the line. Hell it should of helped determine how long he's wiling to put up with hawke and maybe grow emotionally to not stay in an unhealthy relationship.

LOL! You made me blush and I'm not even a virgin I don't dislike Isabela but I really do on that mission. Wanted to do some **** slapping. I let her have the boat once to see the dialogue and it made me mad again! She invited me to go sailing with her but not my Fen Fen! I hate it when the game doesn't acknowledge the relationships, and by then I had made up with the elf...yes we had very much made up in my head

Good point. It sounds like Fenris is about to tell her off when he figures out who the book is written by, but he ends up sounding very calm to me. I was waiting for him to snarl or something:blink:

Aveline and Fenris would kill each other or...hmmm I don't know, I guess I could see them having some major passion after An argument. Have you ever compared Aveline's body size with Fenris. She is literally twice his size!

Absolutely love Donnic! I wish he had been an LI! <3 Did you ever click on him after Aveline gets promoted? He sfumbles through this suggestive comment. It's adorable. Though the sideburns do nothing for me.


Yeah can't say I really do the rivalmance option. I just... it feels too mean and the poor elf has had enough of mean.

Well, I'm part of the crowd that simply doesn't understand rivalry romances. I mean, yes, opposites attract, and there are couples who have a dynamic of opposition, but the rivalry issues in DA2 are not "minor" stuff like liking different foods, or supporting different political parties, or having opposing personalities...Slavery, demons and mage oppression aren't exactly issues you can just "agree to disagree" about in a couple, IMO. Maybe Merrill's rivalry romance can work, in a "I'm trying to save you from yourself" kinda dynamic, but I've heard people say that Hawke comes across more as trolling and abusive in some of their exchanges.

So yeah...a Hawke who rivalmances Fenris and then supports slavers would just cause a "CANNOT COMPUTE" for me.
