I had the bright idea in my head to make a Fenris sketch of the day for as long as I am inspired to and as long as I don't run out of ideas, lol..

So here's the first sketch (if you don't include my pouty Fen one from the other day). One time Merrill asks Aveline what she sees in her mirror. I don't imagine that Fenris ever stands around staring at himself in the mirror, but he must get the occasional glimpse once in awhile. And then you have to ask, what is it he sees?

No, I don't think it's blank. But with it just being in pencil (sans color) I thought it was already starting to get too confusing to the eye, lol. >.<

Oh, I don't find it confusing at all. The markings you did look really good. I don't think it would hurt the image to add a few lines on his upper leg, but that's just me of course.

That picture is wrong on so many levels. I am sorry but the tail is not anatonmically correct (yes, because the rest of it makes so much sense)!!!  I mean, it is sandwhiched between his butt cheeks! What is it with me and bottoms lately? It's just... no!

The tail is like Fenris ate something he shouldn't and the bathroom break has produced an angry furry turd that was strong enough to breach a g-string. :lol:

Oh Ren, I don't think I can better you on this one. But I'll at least try. What scares me the most is the fact you went looking for this or... already had it as your desktop picture

Hmm *thinks* Okay I think I can add a couple simple lines to dress up the thigh. I'll try to update it later tonight. ^^

Well, YanaGoya's work tends to be very fetishist, but I don't think we should post her stuff just to have a laugh at it. She's a highly gifted artist and one I've admired for a long time.

Art is subjective. It evokes different emotions in different people, and honestly, I get tired of always being what people consider nice, which means not saying what you really feel, and politically correct. If I find something funny I find it funny.  That's my right, just like it is someone else's right to absolutely love that drawing. When I publish a story I get criticism and comments I don't particularly like, but I value them the same as a glowing review. I also understand that if you put something out there for the public then you have to take the good with the bad. How do you know it wasn't meant to evoke humor? It's obviously playful. Personally, if you create something that manages to put a smile on a someone's face I'd say that makes it valuable. It's all about perspective.

BTW, @motomoto- remember when we were discussing Legacy/Fenris banter, and we thought that there didn't seem to be any new/different LI banter if you did Legacy in Act 3?? Well, I think the little banter between Hawke and Fenris (the one where Hawke tries to bring up the "night" in Act 2) only seems to trigger (at least for me) if I play Legacy in Act 3. This is the second time I have now played it AFTER the romance and All That Remains in Act 2, and that banter did NOT come up. BUT, I have played Legacy in Act 3 twice as well, and the banter triggered both times.

Maybe it wasn't intended to trigger as LI banter in Act 3, but for me, it does....go figure.

Haha, no problem. It was worth it! Yes, I do have a DA page. You can find it here: kenaiwolf.deviantart.com I work mostly in watercolors doing portrait and wildlife art. But I think that's going to sit aside for awhile while I indulge myself in Fen-art.

But I finished the prelim sketch for my painting and wanted to get you mighty Fenris experts opinion's on the tattoo design I came up with. Yay! Nay? This one, however, is a it too much for my taste. 
Moto, I meant no offense. I agree the drawing itself is very beautifully done, and I like other drawings of this artist. I think the artist meant this picture as a bit of a joke herself. It was not my intent to trash her work. I hope you understand.

I know it wasn't.  I just have great respect for artists and don't like to see them mocked, not when I can do something about it.

The same goes for writers; I would never sit idly by while someone trashed a writer's work - work that was put forth FREELY for readers to enjoy and need not merit criticism unless sought for.

I think for the 2000th page that we should all post our VERY FAVORITE Fenris fan art.  What do you say? :happy:

EDIT: And explain why we love it, and why we love Fenris so much, and why Hawke x Fenris / Fenris x Hawke.

*raises quizzical eyebrow* Are you implying that I trashed her work? People get criticized whether they seek it or not. It's part of life and free speech. If the artist is offended by my words I would wholeheartedly apologize. But not to you for your opinion or mine.

I've supported many DA artists through the years with commissions. Most want to know reaction to their work whether bad, good or inbetween.

Personally, I found one half of that drawing adorable and the other half brought a smile to my face. I have saved it to my hard drive because every time I see it it will make me smile.Take it how you want but it is a compliment to the artist.
