I think nobody has been mocking or trashing the artist. It's a funny picture, and I believe it is meant to laugh a bit about it.

That said, moto asked for favorite Fenris art, but that's sooo hard. Digging through deviant art favorites right now. Can't decide. I need more time. xD

Edit: PAGE 2000! IT'S MINE, MUAHAHA.:o:O:O

Okay, hold on for Fenris pic spam.

Edit 2: probably not very surprising or original to choose something of Louvette, but her art is gorgeous, so:

And adaneko has done a good job at capturing Fenris' smile:

And a few I'm not sure I could post, but are so sexy.

Gahh, so much more to post, but otherwise your internet might faint when forced to load all those pics.:P

So, we made the legendary 2000, people!:wizard::D

We're not stopping now, are we?:o

Edit 3: I see the pictures are not that much after all, so I'll continue:

I know! It's incredible how many talented artists are out there, creating Dragon Age fan art. It's really great.:D

I don't know if people are interested, but I created a separate Dragon Age folder for my deviant art favorites. You could check it out to see more. It's not exclusively Fenris, but.. eh... the majority is, haha.

Here is my favorite Fenris and Hawke pic; it has been my favorite since I first found it, even before I found this forum.  I always wanted to make a Hawke who looked just like this, and I finally have (my current playthrough), though I wish I could give him freckles!

by the amazingly gifted and talented silberfeder

I love so many things about this one.  I love how Hawke is smiling, just the barest twitch of a little smile.  I love how Fenris is blushing but yet still quite ardent.  I love this whole scene because it paints such a sweet picture of their love life.  I don't think this is their first time together; I think they would be more urgent if it were.  I think it's maybe the second or third time.  Maybe this is after Fenris has apologized, and they've made up after three years.  Whatever the case may be, they're both so happy here, and it just warms my heart.

I do like a lot of others, but that's my favorite, I guess because it has such a wonderful story written into it somehow.  And that's what I love about the Fenris romance; it's not just about the sex or how hot this character is or what-have-you.  It's a real romance, very old-fashioned, and just sweet as pie once it's concluded.  I thank BW and DG and his fellow writers for giving us these two wonderful characters and their absolutely perfect romance.

<3 Happy 2000th page, everyone!

Okay, on the right account now, lol. :P

Such great fan art! I really love the portrait by... I think the stamp says Adanec. And I adore the one of Fen reading under the tree. I don't have any favorite fan art to share because I haven't been really looking for any yet. I don't want other artists works to influence my own.

But I do have my Fenris sketch of the day! (So sorry for murdering Merrill in the first panel, she probably deserves better, lol. )

I love your Bobsy twins coldwetn0se. Makes me want to do a new playthrough with a Fenris inspired Hawke. :D

It was SPANK!!!!!!! Which you need!

Thanks for the link Ren! There really are some wonderful artists out there, actually my hat goes off to all DA artists. I can't draw a stick figure to save my life.

LOL! I adored your pic Okami. Awwwww those puppy eyes. He' such a cutie. I know what you mean about being influenced by other people's work, in my case writing. If I read something that is written in a similar style to my own, I stop. Sometimes the only way to stay original is unfortunately to isolate your brain. (shush Ren... no comments about my brain :P)

Did I ever tell you Ren that your Hawke looks so very realistic? She creeps me out because it could almost pass for a real person. How did you get her face so distinctive? My Hawkes always come out looking frumpy.

You never told me, no, but I have to disappoint you: this is not a Hawke, but a Warden. So she is from  Dragon Age Origins. The characters you can create there indeed look more realistic. DA2's style is pretty different.
LOL, does she really creep you out? Would she do that even more when I told you she looks a bit like me?:innocent: A little bit, but still, haha.
You have an.. isolated brain? Okay, I won't say anything, hehe.:whistle:And why do I need spank? We all knew first post of page 2000 was going to be mine. LOL, sorry, just kidding.

But why do you stop writing if you see someone else's style seems similar to yours?:o That sounds like a real shame. It's hard to be truly 100% unique, because you're always going to be influenced by what you have read and heard. That doesn't mean you're actually stealing or copying from somebody. If your brain came up with it and the words to express it, it's still yours. And getting inspiration from others' creativity is not a bad thing, I think.:)

Then there is definitely something to be said for the look of DAO because I found it incredibly hard to make my Hawke look original without mods. She just ended up looking like a sibling of herself every playthrough. It was like Fenris was doing all the Hawke sisters.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! *runs away* Do you have the hair? I like the hair and the overall shape of the face. No I don't fancy you Ren! Gah, stop thinking it.

I bet you've been sitting here for days eyeing up the big 000. Just know it and then when I was busy b-i-t-c-h-ing at Moto, or rather being my usual female dog self,  you swooped in, which is bad, and took it from me!

I had an odd experience (imagine that). I started reading a story written by someone who later became a friend and we wrote much alike. We also often came up with the same ideas and used similar phrasing. Because I came in late on the DA fanfiction scene, I became paranoid that she would think I was copying her and eventually vice versa. Instead of writing style, i should say similar mindset. Once I find a story where I know the author and I are thinking alike plotwise, more often than not, I stop reading. There's influence and then there is getting confused by too much similarity. I don't want to risk writing just like that author.

I get plenty of inspiration from this forum ;) Surprising who ends up in my stories, albeit, named slightly different. Like Ner, my new female protaganist.

To make this relevvant... kind of, though I don't really care if people write relevant posts to this thread or not. One of the story ideas that we came up with was a birthday party for Fenris. Anyone ever given any thought to his birthday and whether or not his friends would make a point of marking the occasion, even though he has no idea when it is?

My story, I had ActIII Hawke share her birthday with Fenris. My friend, had him bake Hawke a cake and it was hilarious.

Anyway, novel over.

Oh that Hawke was lovely! I've never come across those pics before. You sneaky.

ROFLMAO, I posted before I read your e-mail. Honestly, I had no idea the comment I made about Fenris doing all the Hawke sisters would ever become relevant... until now. And no! You don't have to worry about that particular topic coming up with the stripper story.

Damn! I just looked again. He is so incredibly sexy in that first pic! Adding to "go to" pictures. Hawke has a pink teddy bear???

Definitely, yeah. The hair and hair color is custom, but otherwise she has no mods on her (I actually did create a modded face for her in the character creator, but for some weird reason the site only updated the hair once and left the face as it was. Not that I mind, I am pleased with the way she looks anyway).

LOL, does she really creep you out? Would she do that even more when I told you she looks a bit like me?[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/angel.png[/smilie] A little bit, but still, haha.

I do have the hair, yes.:P Well, I have very long hair, but so does the character in the pic. You just can't see it because it's a huge hair knout (? sorry, I am not sure what the correct English word is?) on the back of her head. And I am blonde, although a different shade.

Don't worry, I already know you love me.:innocent:

I bet you've been sitting here for days eyeing up the big 000. Just know it and then when I was busy b-i-t-c-h-ing at Moto, or rather being my usual female dog self,  you swooped in, which is bad, and took it from me!

Hahaha, I am laughing so hard right now. xD And you were so close! The very last post on page 1999.:P Yeah, I was counting the posts, and I thought: YES, the next one is MINE. LOL, you probably truly believe I did that now. xD

I get plenty of inspiration from this forum ;) Surprising who ends up in my stories, albeit, named slightly different. Like Ner, my new female protaganist.

... is this my ego speaking or did Ner come from Ren? xD If so, I am deeply honored.:P

Problem with that is indeed nobody, not even Fenris himself, knows when his birthday is. I don't think they celebrated anything in the first three years, but perhaps Fenris and Hawke made a habit of celebrating the anniversary of his escape later? :)

Well aldy if you want more, you'll have to wait since IM lurking through the old meg archives.
Other than that influence and copying can be best said with this phrase my professors always tell us when we are doing original work or parodies: Good artists burrow, Great Artists steal. But please make sure you can draw it well or else we'll just call it out and out stealing.

LOL I'm glad my pointed objections led to Ren taking the 2000th post :P I was actually quite annoyed and walked away from the forum for a bit; had I stayed around to b-i-t-c-h back, I might have helped Aldi take that 2000th!

BTW, have you guys ever played all the way through with just Fen? I'm playing through the second act with just him and Hawke, and my god, all the hidden lines I never heard! The boy has such a charmingly dry sense of humor. I'm loving it! Favorite line so far: When entering the Chantry to accuse the Grand Cleric of betrayal: "Well... freedom was fun while it lasted." I laughed out loud LOL

Wow 2000 pages!!  That's awesome!  And for a character that many claim to hate....

I've never only take Fenris all the way through - on some quests yes, but now I'll definitely have to try it!  Gearing up for another PT anyway....:wizard::wizard::wizard:

I'll also add that it's almost sort of romantic, just the two of them. There are even more Hawke responses, too, in various cut scenes, just between him/her and Fenris. The game suddenly seems more... intimate <3
