BTW, have you guys ever played all the way through with just Fen? I'm playing through the second act with just him and Hawke, and my god, all the hidden lines I never heard! The boy has such a charmingly dry sense of humor. I'm loving it! Favorite line so far: When entering the Chantry to accuse the Grand Cleric of betrayal: "Well... freedom was fun while it lasted." I laughed out loud LOL

Actually, I would like to have seen the 2k post  go to someone who has been here since page 1 or close to it. I think LadyShamen has been here that long??? By the way, if anyone really wants to see a huge collection of Fen art go to page 1 of this thread.

I knew you were. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out, thankfully for me. But it's my opinion and I have a right to state it. It would be nice to be addressed instead of reading my name. I don't bite unless you are Fenris.

And I do understand. I've had to walk away from the forum before because of either a misunderstanding or a complete disagreement. I've had my fair share and it is never pleasant. But, I suspect if we were talking in person we'd be able to sit down in a cafe, share in a cup of the finest caffiene beverage and work it out. It's so easy to become flippant on forums. I apologize if I came on too strongly, but I do not apologize for having an opinion. Damn, Moto have some fun woman.

I'm not sure I'll ever play any other way 

Have you guys ever watched Fenris fight?  He stalks people.  It's actually quite... intimiating. 

It's surprising how much you can learn, when you make him and Hawke both total BAMFs so you can pretty much just sit back and watch the show as Fenris carves through enemies...

Oh yeah, Hawke and Fen just took out the high dragon... by themselves.

Is it sad that this is how I'm spending my Friday evening

I know page 2000 was flooded with Fenris art, but page 2001 deserves a Fenris too. And since people here are apparently obsessed with his bums:innocent:, I choose this one:

Yes!  Watch carefully!  He will initially run up to an enemy, but after the initial blow, knocking the enemy back, he sort of just walks carefully and slowly towards them before dealing another blow.

It's really quite intimidating

Well, he will say this about whomever Hawke's love interest is, so it's not specific to Fenris 

I like to think that they moved away together, away from all this mage/templar crap, and built a small cabin somewhere where only their friends know they can be found.  

And just lived happily and peacefully ever after <3

I'm with Moto on this one. I've always loved the notion that Hawke decides that it is time to get on with her/his life and stop living for everyone else. First, it was saving the family, then going into the Deep Roads to provide for them, then defeating the Arishok and so on. Now that she/he has Fenris, maybe the only family depending on the outcome, Hawke would want to take care of him. Besides, I'm sure Fenris wouldn't mind getting away from everything especially the public eye and live out his days in peace. I'm going with an Orlesian country cottage with vineyard. Fenris takes up winemaking and they are living happily right under the Divine's nose.

@motomoto - I have taken Fenris alone on a few quests, and just as you were saying, he interjects a lot more. If you remember, what quests did you like best with his added comments. I am thinking of replaying a few old saves from Zander and Ulee to try a few things out. I don't have it in me to edit the save file from my xbox, so I will just turn down the difficulty if needed. Just thought I would get your .02 on which quests, so I can figure out which "saves" would be the most fun to abuse. Thanks in advance, and of course, anyone else who has done this is more than welcome to share.....the more the merrier!

If you haven't done The Long Road with just Fenris, you're really missing out!!

Offered and Lost has some interesting Fenris input.

That's off the top of my head. I think The Long Road is my favorite because it's basically one couple helping another So it's reeeeally sweet.

Heehee...too funny, those are two quests I HAVE done (more than once) with just Fenris.  In fact for the Long Road, I actually abused the hell out of my Mace Hawkes' save, and did the quest as a twosome with ALL the characters....I was feelin' saucy that night! 

Hmmmm.......maybe I'll just play around with a few bigger quests, and see what happens.  If anything really fun/different transpires, I'll post it.

Not at all Ald, that's how I'd like to spend my Saturday night, lol. When you talk about buffing up Fen and Hawke to play the game with them just duo, are you using a mod to max them out? I think I would really like to try to attempt that sometime. Thou I just fought the high dragon last night and barely survived with four.

Well I play on xbox, so I mod my save  I give them both 100 attribute points in every area, so they're total bad a-s-s-e-s.  (so ridiculous how you can't curse on this forum).  Oh, I also upped Fenris' friendship points so he was totally into Hawke by like the end of Act 1, and Hawke could go around freeing mages left and right.  He had a lot to say about that, but too bad, didn't affect his relationship with Hawke at all xD

Not that I know of  Certainly not in-game.  Maybe something DG said at some point?

Gaidar has stated that the lyrium in Fenris' body is unstable and needs to be maintained. It can be assumed Danarius knew how to do this, but with his death, it leaves the question: who will do it now and is Fenris even aware it needs to be maintained in order to keep it stable?

If it becomes unstable, I believe Gaider said the effects are unknown. Of course, he would know since he wrote the character, but there wasn't too much elaboration.

Gaider associates the lyrium with mercury, so my guess is that Fenris can become poisoned by it if it isn't maintained. But it is all speculation. Personally, I like to think a mage Hawke can help him. But, to my knowledge, nothing concrete has been said how the lyrium markings were maintained and what will happen to Fenris now that Danarius is dead. 

To be perfectly honest, I'm not very fond of this concept. But, that is mostly to do with my strong emotional attachment to the character and the fact that lyrium has been compared to mercury. I don't know about you, but when I play a game involving fantastical elements, I'd rather not have to think about my LI suffering from something akin to mercury poisoning, which can cause everything from memory loss, coordination problems to shedding of skin and the list is long. On the other hand, one could argue it makes people aware of mercury poisoning (which is not what I believe was intended), which is a huge problem particularly in Africa and worldwide(careful how much Tuna you consume). Personally, I play games to relax and have fun. Sometimes I'd like a happy ending, not always, but just sometimes. As far as I am concerned, Fenris and Hawke get their happily ever after.

Okay, well he kindly left most of that up to our imagination; certainly you could hand-canon that a mage!Hawke could help Fenris, and even if Hawke is not a mage, s/he has Bethany, Anders, Merrill, any number of mage friends who would be willing to help. So I wouldn't worry about not getting that happy ending!!

EDIT: Wouldn't that make a great fanfic?  Hawke and Fenris seek out the different mages, one by one.  Anders was their best hope, but even he couldn't help.  Finally, Hawke suggests heading to Tevinter and trying to track down Feynriel...
