Posting Pictures:

Sorry if I sound patronizing not intended.

1. If your picture is on your harddrive and not on the Internet you need to upload to somewhere like Photobucket and copy the direct link.

2 When you get ready to reply to a post click on: or use standard form at the bottom

3. At the top of the reply box you will see things like B, I so on and then at the very end you will BBCode. Click on BBCode

4. To get your image to show up type: [ img ]direct link[ /img]    (with no spaces between the brackets and img)

5. You can either post at this point or hit BBCode again and you should see your piccie load up

Also, I sometimes, and this is considered naughty, but if I find a picture on the Internet I want to use, I right click on it and view image info, then copy the direct link example: [ img ]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/fe/Monticola_gularis_male_non-breeding_-_Khao_Yai.jpg/220px-Monticola_gularis_male_non-breeding_-_Khao_Yai.jpg[ /img] and put it between my image tags so you would get:

So you would have [ img ]direct link[ /img ]

For simplicity with less control you can ignore using BBCode altogether and type [ img ]direct link[ /img] in the standard reply box and it should work. Don't forget that you can't have the spaces between brackets

Random thought ... why are people so often so mean on this forum?  I often get personal attacks and hurtful responses here that I've never gotten anywhere else.  Granted, I don't really venture beyond my one anime forum (aarinfantasy.com) and of course social network sites like Facebook and Twitter where I'm mostly communicating with real life friends and family.

So often I will read personal responses to posts of mine in this Dragon Age forum that actually bring me to tears.  I wonder if it is a gamer thing or what?  I just don't know, but it's really sad and upsetting

Okami, Dragon Age 3 has not been officially announced yet. They've only dropped a few teasers and plans, but everytime they add they can't promise anything. During PAX, Laidlaw said they wanted to go "somewhere French", which would obviously mean Orlais. They also said they will stop re-using environments, and introduced their idea for armor on companions. About the latter you can find a thread in the third DA2 forum (I think), with a link to David Gaider explaining the idea.

Thanks Ren! I watched that little Q&A on youtube about their plans for DA3. I was just hoping that there was more than that out there somewhere. I'm so impatient.

I haven't seen any meanness in the Fenris thread. At least the short time I've been here. Hope it stays that way.

I don't venture out much besides the Fenris thread myself. It seems safe in here so just stay in here with us!

 I'm afraid your patience will be tested for quite some time. With so little information yet, DA3 seems far away. I think it will take at least a year before it is released. So... patience... Well, you can always draw more Fenris while you wait. I wouldn't mind if you do. Always nice to see more art.

moto, I too have had my feelings hurt ( not in this thread), I thought about it and I think that without things like body language, facial expressions and tone of voice, the written word can come across as stronger than what you would hear if talking face to face with someone. I have a hard time putting idea's in writing. Often, even tho I would love to join a conversation or voice my opinion, I wind deleting everything I write after reading it. Of course, this is all IMO!
More art and fanfic is always a good thing!

I know I get pissy sometimes, but I honestly do not go out of my way to hurt someone and I would be appalled to know if I upset someone so much I made them cry. I hope I haven't done that to you, Moto and if I have, I am very sorry.

I'm quite laid back in person and I love to make people laugh. I come on here sometimes when I'm tired and that is a bad combo. So, I've been trying to stop doing that. But, I know exactly what you mean. I experienced it on this thread many many months ago. Recently, though, I've felt things have been alright. No one seems to go out of their way to be mean on here.

Pssst... keep this quiet, but I think someone has managed to get Fenris in Skyrim if anyone is interested. I haven't had a chance to try it out because my game is still updating and I'm on satellite so ugggggg.

Well, I cry very easily, I mean ... I get hurt. I will have moments when I can't understand why someone is being so incredibly mean to me. I don't even know this person. And I think of myself as a nice person, so I don't understand where it's coming from. And logic dictates that I should laugh it off, because who cares? But no, I go in a corner and mope in my sad, dark place lol

I've been into gaming for a long time and I have to say this is one of the worst, if not the worst, forum I have ever been on for hateful remarks. I think it is great people are so passionate about the game, but many I come across on here are reall smart asses. NOT TALKING ABOUT THIS THREAD! And some are very cruel. People forget it is another person on the end. I agree, that you have to be very careful not to misinterpret people's tone and the voice of their post, but when it's obviously blatant you have to imagine Fenris sticking his hand through them

Mostly, I think it's just people. For all that there are a lot of wonderful(or, at least, polite) people, there's a whole helluvalot of asses too. Being on the internet doesn't help. Most people seem to close off the part of them that knows it's an actual person on the other side, so it's easier to be rude or outright mean/cruel.

Most forums will have their handful of trolls, and others just get careless with their wording (foot-in-mouthitis)
This thread has always been pretty peaceful.  I think that the BSNer's are a bit up in arms though.  Between me3 junk and the DA2 group announcing no new content for DA2, I think people are......hmmmm...b****y??  P1ssy might be a better word.

I'm grateful right now for the Fen thread since my other two threads have been a hotbed for trolls (poor Thane).  So, I love popping in here and seeing you lovely people with your fabulous FenArt!  Hugs and Thanks!!!
