Why are people assuming that Carver is a virgin?
1. He's the 'kid brother' to the protagonist, which is an inherently emasculating position.
2. In a Fenris or Varric thread, the audience has reason to want to see the character as sufficiently masculine or virile. Comparing him to an inexperienced Carver does that and won't ruffle feathers as no one else will see Carver as a possible lover and so feel insulted.
3. I don't think I'd get a favorable reaction to Isabela giving Fenris 'the talk' and then grading him on his performance.

Didn't the Isabela thread (whichever thread you're talking about) devolve into arguments over Bela's dress/costume, booty, etc. which caused several to be locked down? I haven't seen much of that here or in the other thread...
Wait... her booty, or her booty?
Yes

That's like a pitcher saying "Chicks dig the long ball!"How about this, it's all about quality rather than quantity? We've had the entire writing staff in our thread
What can I say? Im trying to engage in the typical "elf-dwarf" friendly rivalry (the comic of which I just can't find at the moment)
Edited to add: At least we're not like the Isabela thread!!!
I don't know the baseball reference, but I know which comic you speak of. (How could I not? It's Aimo!) And I wasn't trying to get friction going with the Varric thread by that comment - was merely posting a Zing.As a closet Varric fan (hell, I'm a closet everyone-in-DA2 fan to some extent) I'd prefer we all get along and think up funny dialogue between the two and share derpicorn/chest hair grooming tips.
I've never frequented any of the Isabela threads, but I don't think whatever may have went on in any of them take anything away from Isabela's character. I try to remember this when I come across particularly ardent Talimancers, too.
Like I said, I was playing into the whole "elf-dwarf" rivalry thing that's been going on in certain movies for the past decade
As for the baseball reference, it's from a late 90s/early 00s Nike campaign:

Hey, I hadn't thought of that. I wonder if it was intentional? It's certainly refreshing to move away from the elves=archers, dwarves=axe-wielders mindset.

Isabela: It has come to my attention that you have lost some critical knowledge pertaining to the Human--
Fenris: Elven.
Isabela: --Elven experience.
Fenris: Is that so.
Isabela: Yes. You will need to be reminded as soon as possible. We'll need to start early, there is a lot of ground to cover. I may need to do some hands-on demonstrations! Perhaps tonight, my place? Six-ish.
Fenris: If it's so important, why wait?
Fangirls: *freak out, die*

Isabela: Your markings remind me of some sailors I've seen in Rivain, they'd have intricate patterns carved into their skin and then molten gold would be poured in they consider these brands to be a symbol of both wealth and strength.
Fenris: Sounds like a symbol of empty bravado to me. Let me guess your going to suggest he has that done too.
Isabela: (annoyed) Why does everyone here think I want to harm him? He's a good man.
Fenris: (matter of factually) Well you are the "Pirate Scourge of Two Coasts" and you had your husband assassinated by an Antivan Crow, from the sound of it you ruin men like him for fun and profit.
Isabela: My former husband was a greasy bastard, who cared only about two things: money and himself. My kitten is nothing like that.
Fenris: (sarcasticly) Oh he has a nickname now how sweet, what you call him that so when you abandon him you won't have to worry about remembering his name?
Isabela: Maker's breath man, what did I ever do to you?
Fenris: You did nothing, but all you pirates are the same. Once, many years ago there was a woman, who like you was a "privateer" she'd seen my fend off some two bit bounty hunters my old master sent after me and decided to take me in as a part of her crew. (inhales sharply) To be short it turned out that the whole thing was a set up and she had been planning to return me to my old master for a reward.
Isabela: What happened to this woman?
Fenris: (deadpan) She's not a problem for anyone anymore. Let me make myself clear, He and the others in this group have taken the both of us in, they're as good as family to us now, if you harm him or anyone else in this party I can swear to you upon the gates of the Black City itself, no fancy dueling technique shall protect you from my wrath. Are we clear?
Isabela: (coldly) Crystal.
I see Fenris, despite being described as broody and stoic as a character who places great value of friends and family, a Hawke (like M!Hawke) depicted here who has taken him in without any pretense or hint of treachery will have gained a great deal of respect from Fen who to me would view the motley crew as a surrogate family.

Yeah, I didn't really think about it until I was made the above post...of course, Im sure that Evil Chris, Darth Gaider and the writing staff had that in mind from the outset

Isabela strikes me as a character who's similar to Zevran, underneath that flamboyant outrageous exterior is a woman who is fiercely loyal to her ship/crew. Is she a free spirited party girl at heart? Most likely, but I'll be happy to see how she interacts with Fenris.I see Fenris, despite being described as broody and stoic as a character who places great value of friends and family, a Hawke (like M!Hawke) depicted here who has taken him in without any pretense or hint of treachery will have gained a great deal of respect from Fen who to me would view the motley crew as a surrogate family.Isabela: Your markings remind me of some sailors I've seen in Rivain, they'd have intricate patterns carved into their skin and then molten gold would be poured in they consider these brands to be a symbol of both wealth and strength.

And some beautiful artworks as usual, man I love this thread, and all those dialogues you write just makes me squee in delight
And last night I had my first dream (nightmare) about a character from the DA universe..
All Fenris info was revealed and he was a LI, the problem was that he had a horrible VA and for some reason he had absolutely no neck, his head was almost placed directly on his shoulders..
Then I woke up, realized it was just a dream and I returned here to recover.

Y'know devs, a voiceover announcement/subtle hint about romance would give us a lot to talk about.
