I do get mocked a bit by my boyfriend for my love for the DA characters. It started with Alistair on my first DAO playthrough, then Zevran, and now Fenris. I think the idea makes him a tiny bit jealous. He was pretty amazed when he saw my favorites on deviant art, haha. A lot of Fenris, and a lot of Fenris without many clothes. But hey, that's not my fault. Other people draw it, not me!:innocent: Still, my boyfriend does proofread my story. After I had written a total of 80 pages in Word, I thought he might he gotten a bit bored of it, so I didn't send him my next two updates. But then he got mad at me for not sending them, so... I will have to continue sharing the updates with him, haha.

My boyfriend's favourite new phrase is 'are you reading dragon smut AGAIN'

Lol, that's the only thing I've managed to keep hidden so far. If he knew the stories of Hatsepsut I've been reading, he would probably question my sanity. Which he does already.

This was about 15 years ago.  Pardon me if my memory is not that great.  He had a playstation, too, so I guess it was on that that I played it.

YAY Glad to hear so many love Fenris for Fenris  I'm sure you've all discussed him ad nauseum, but since I've only been here for a few months I missed all the intensive Fenris discussions and am only hear for the fangirl ones, haha xD  I, too, think he is so excellently written.  I think all the characters are, but Fenris is genius.  It's hard to write slave characters; you don't want to indulge too much and focus SO MUCH on the characters' suffering, and sometimes the character himself can get lost in the Story of His Suffering.  But Fenris personality shines forth, and is both a unique part of him but also an aspect of what he suffered.  He's such an amazing character.

But, honestly, it has never embarrassed me. I do that without talking about Fenris. However, writing Fenris smut spices things up in the bedroom. So, strangley, I guess I can thank David Gaider for a happy marriage {smilie} And, no my husband doesn't mind in the slightest that I'm hot for the elf. He gets the benefits.

Never embarrased me either. My husband made it through my Alistair faze (and all my other lil obsessions with fictional characters), he'll make it through this one. Haha, I'll join the support group! Course, seems like we already have one going on here now. ^^

I don't want to have sex with the character, lol. I just love his story and the romance, as I've said I'm a sap. But I do find him very attractive. It's his personality and faults plus his uniquness. He's just a great package! I didn't actually have any attraction to him until Act 2 when his personality really starts to show and you get to know him more, that's when I pretty much accidentally fell for him.

Pffft cant be any worse then getting a traditional learning in Illustration in how to properly draw a human figure, in varying sizes, after you learn proper skeleton bones, joints and muscles.....only to apply it for future fan art.

I swear I'm gonna take up my friends offer to just make money in the smut peddling business for our, and others, obsessions.

I can do photoshop, so I've been wondering about doctoring this photo to make my husband and I look like Fenris and Hawke. haha. God I need to get a life.  (Sidenote: we took the photo as a V-Day joke to post on Facebook and make friends gag. It worked...)

Yeah but that's a cool skill to have and in something that tags your interest. You could do a lot with it, even publish it. I write novels and illustrate them, myself. Seems to be working out for me. (But it's more like a lucrative hobby.)

The smut business makes $, just sayin. Why do you THINK Bioware puts sex in their games? heh. As much as some people complain, if they removed the sex/romances - MORE people would take hostages. (me)

Yes the smut business does make moolaah..hence why it be the job I take to pay the bills....and fund my gaming habits. Other than that I gonna be hard once your on the low end spectrum of autism and not have archives of manly undresssed men in various poses.....hmmmm the poses. Think this without those leggings.

No no no no no! I'm with you all the way! In my book, he's the hottest thing under the Thedan sun and I still try not to squee uncontrollably when I see the fanart posted here (I'm at work. Yes, I'm a slacker but it's Fenris. Fenris!)

But I must admit it started out as sheer rivalry. I hated his looks, his brooding, his inate dislike of mages (something -I- was, incidentally). But after a having quested and experienced a lot of the minor cutscenes where he comments on things, I began to like his style. And then there was the first conversation. I -loved- it! I can't recall how many times I redid it, just to try out the different variations. I don't know, something really stuck with me after that. His story, his sincerity, his drinking problem . I just couldn't go any other way after that

Hmm as much as I do enjoy my Fenrismut, I don't really want to love him up. He's broody and a great character but not my type at all. Physically or mentally. If you could squish the looks of Sebastian with the personality of Varric.....THERE'S my ideal DA guy. xD

Yeah, Varric's a great character, his hairy chest and fantastic character really made me love him from the get-go. I honestly don't understand why he wasn't made a possible love interest. Does Bioware have an aversion against people who want to love on charming, flirty dwarves?

Oh and speaking of Sebastian, it might be because of his so very blue eyes I noticed it but he keeps STARING at my Hawke. I'm sitting there talking to the screen, telling him to stop "I'm in a relationship, damnit! Yes it's complicated but that's just because BroodyElf McSmoldering needs to find himself!". SO frustrating. Had to remove him from my team. Distracting blue eyes are distra.. uh... what was I saying?

Yeah...Sebastian is definitely the traditional hottie of the group for me. I also think it's why some of the Sebastian smut is the best - forbidden fruit and all that.
