Oh, I want to put the picture up! Since I'm working on some paintings right now I don't have any new sketches done. But I found this new one over on DA. I know it's new cause she just posted it about fourty minutes ago, lol.

In DA2, I romanced Fenris all throughout the game. By Act 3, he's 100% friendship, has the red arm band/family crest etc. All is kosher.
Question: I flirted with Zevran during the "Murder of Crows" quest and Fenris got a bit jealous at the end. But our romance isn't compromised now is it? Meaning, will the achievement before the final battle still be unlockable? I've always been fearful of flirting (just flirting no sex) with other NPC's when romancing Fenris because he's so buggy. Let me know.

Oh yes.
Weirdly I've been looking at Fenris a little differently since the 'what age are your companions' thread. I always sort of assumed Fenris was in his late thirties but since I've seen quite a few suggestions saying he's early 20s....I'm seeing it. Changed how I imagine his character to be.

He's been running from Danarius for three years at that point; we don't know how long he served Danarius after recieving the tattoos, but presumably it was a decent amount of time. Before that, he was likely fully-grown when he won the competition for the boon. So assuming he was 18-20 when he won, he then served Danarius for an unknown amount of time. After that, he was with the Fog Warriors for six months (I think? I remember that number from somewhere, but I can't actually recall the conversation), at which point Danarius returned for him, starting his three-year flight that takes him to Kirkwall and Hawke.
that makes the math 18-20+x+1/2+3.
Fenris could, if you make x equal to only a year or two, and assume he was 18 when he won the competition, be as young as 22-ish. However, I find it highly unlikely that he served Danarius for only a year, given how much he knows and has seen; how much information he has picked up. I would put x at between 5 to 9 at least, and possibly more. If he was 18 when he won, then five years would make him 26-ish at the start of the game. Nine years would put him at 30-ish. If he was 20 when he won, he would be from 28-ish to 32ish.
On the other hand, sometimes I do wonder if he was an adult when he won. His memory of playing together with Varania makes it seem as though they were close in age, and I'm not sure Danarius would have so easily let go of a mage slave, since they would be more rare, and thus more valuable. So, it's somewhat possible Varania was young enough at the time to have not started showing her powers; most start displaying powers at around puberty. I find it VERY difficult to believe Leto would have been able to win the contest at 13-15-ish, though. More likely that Varania had begun to display her power, and Danarius simply had no way to weasel out of the boon - too many witnesses or something. So while it is slightly possible that Fenris could be in his early 20s at the start of the game, I highly, highly doubt it.
I honestly think that a lot of the low age numbers people suggest for all the characters comes from the fact that over 30 = old to many younger people. It isn't, but that's the perception.
EDIT: Holy typos, Batman!

Ok... million dollar question... can I flirt with anyone I want and still keep Fenris? (Meaning no sex - just flirts.)

That depends on how bugged your game is.

Oh, 30+ people are elderly. Why don't they walk with a stick already? And sex with someone older than 30? Ewwwww, they should not be allowed to do that. Old people should be knitting or something, and keep the hot stuff for the awesome people in their 20s.
@ Trista: flirting in act 1 is harmless anyway, because it doesn't count for the actual romance. So then you can click every flirt option if you like. In act 2 you should be careful with Isabela, I think. When you flirt once with her, she will show up at your mansion for some real fun, and when Fenris smells her presence in the Hawke estate, he chickens out. Flirting with Merrill and Anders and then dumping them should be possible, as far as I know. Only be sure to do it before you do A Bitter Pill for Fenris, because after that you will have to stay faithful to your elf.

I can't blame Fenris, or any NPC, for taking a hike if someone sleeps with Isabela. We all saw the cut scene where she needed Anders to heal her ambiguous, high seas std. lol.
About the age thing: Yes. It's funny when 20 year olds or younger think people in their 30's are "old." lol. People freak when I tell them I'm 31. It's like.. yeah... we don't look like corpses yet, ok? Though, admittably, I look far better now (and am in way better shape) than I ever was - even when I was a teen.

Ahhhh - I get it now. I know I can get away with sleeping with Anders, as long as I sleep with him before initiating the 2nd Act companion quest with Fenris.

Honestly, I'd suggest not talking to Fenris at all (or taking him anywhere, to make sure A Bitter Pill doesn't trigger before you do his Act II QB) until you've slept with everyone you want to, if you're doing a Hawke who gets around. XD It's the only guaranteed way I know of of keeping the romance from breaking. And you absolutely HAVE to select the "break up" option after sleeping with other people, especially Merrill or Anders. While you can move on to those two from Isabela, you cannot move on to anyone else after selecting to have Merrill or Anders move in, so breaking up is necessary to activate Fenris' romance later.

Actually, given that you see Isabela getting treated for her STD, I'd say it's pretty safe to sleep with her. Given that she cares about her health and gets treated when she catches something! STDs don't make someone unlovable or a pariah. A majority of American adults will have an STD at some point in their lives, and still go on about their business, falling in love, etc. Even ones that can merely be treated, and not cured, don't turn people into lepers.
It's when someone doesn't care about their sexual health that it's a problem, not when they care.
