AHAHAHA I thought you did  but I just had to make sure.  I'm used to people just knowing that the first guy listed is the top/seme, so that's why I wasn't originally so specific.

You mean exact sizes like 6 inches, 9 inches, etc.  or just descriptions of how big it is?  I don't know if I've read het or slash that goes into measuring (inches) like that.
But if we can locate, where would we post the links?

PS: the kmeme isn't all PWP, there are some long, well written fics there!

Firstly, you took my post WAY too seriously. Secondly, I did say that I was speaking from my personal experience of the fanfic that I have read. You needn't bother linking various fanfic to prove anything, I'll believe that the fanfic you have read contains such.

I just sense that there is a dichotomy here between slash and het fanfiction writers.  I know it's rare for me to go hunting up an author's other stories only to discover that she writes het as well as slash.  Seems most writers stick to one or the other (which makes sense).

Fanfic written about CLAMP works.

From what I've seen, it just depends on the series that authors are into whether they write primarily yaoi, slash, het, or any combination of those. Just taking CLAMP and X for example, the same fanfic authors might write Seishirou/Subaru, Subaru/Kamui, Kamui/Fuuma, and also do Sorata/Arashi, Yuuto/Satsuki, or Kakyou/Hokuto. Some fandoms focus on certain types of relationships over others.

The reasons I read TB/X Sei & Sub fanfic (which sometimes bleeds over into other pairings) are because 1) they can be considered a legitimate pairing as formed by CLAMP themselves -- I consider baseless slash absurd most of the time: Harry/Draco?? WTF?, 2) there are enormous time gaps that give fic authors the freedom to write whatever they want, and 3) X was never finished, and although Seishirou died we will never know what ultimately happened to Subaru, or anyone else in the series, also giving fic authors a great amount of liberty. A lot of the fluff fic goes into Alternate Universe category, but that's to be expected.

The unfinished nature of that series is what is compelling to me, since it's not present as an obstacle in most other fandoms. In other series, we have a beginning and an end, couples, friends, revelations about the past and so forth that form the backbone for the story. For me, supplemental material is not needed. One of the earliest known fic fandoms came from Star Trek: The Original Series. They were on a five year mission, the show was only on for three seasons. A lot of that early fanfic consisted of people filling in mission gaps for those two years.

As for a series like Dragon Age, the ONLY type of fic I might consider reading would be those that explore the past of the various companions, many of which we know next to nothing about. But, I wouldn't be surprised if the vast majority involves people writing about their Wardens or their Hawkes interacting with people in some form or other. It would be their characters, not mine, so I don't read them. I really have no desire whatsoever. It's just my personal preference (or quirk if you will) regarding fanfic.

Mmmmm...from what I've seen, Hawke/LI or Warden/LI isn't the majority, but it's up there with the popular pairings.
Also, I've read Hawke and Warden fics where it didn't feel at all like a Mary Sue or Gary Stu.  Lots of authors don't write about *their* Hawke/Warden and you can usually tell.

 I think Hawke is an interesting character to write, and because you can have the most freedom with him/her, Hawke is also very fun to write. I have no objection to reading stories with Hawke/LI. I think you are missing out on some great characterizations, but to each their own.

I agree  But also all of "our" Hawke's are still going to be video game characters; they're just either diplo, sarcastic, or aggro Hawke, and we've all played some form of that, so even someone ELSE'S Hawke is still our Hawke, and is essentially default Hawke.  The only difference might be if you play your Hawke a certain gender or if you have a Hawke OTP, for example if I'm a M!Hawke x Fenris primary supporter I'm prolly not gonna read a F!Hawke x Anders fanfic.

I had a couple of new experience during my recent pt, thought I'd share.

When I went to the Huon quest in the alienage I met Lia again from Magistrate's orders. I always liked that quest.

I had the Knight Commander tell me the story about her sister.

I finally got to hear this dialogue which had me in a fit of laughter:

Isabela: Oh, will you two get over yourselves? You're like two dogs around a **** in heat.
Fenris: We were talking about Hawke. Not you.

I knew it was said but for some reason I could never get it to fire in my game. Probably because Isabela is hardly ever with me. Not a big fan of that woman. *shrugs*

Yeah I never brought her along much either. I don't know why - I think it's because I always play a rogue and I didn't want to the group to be too rogue heavy. Though, I do like Isabela's character, she could be a little more badass. I mean she's a pirate, after all. Maybe I'm just thinking Jack Sparrow should be part of the group. hahaha

p.s. In Origins I somehow clicked a dialogue option and ended up in a threesome with Zevran and Isabela. You see nothing happen (DAMMIT) but you get a ton of Zev approval, apparently. 

You can even get a foursome if you are romancing a hardened Leliana and have both her and Zevran in your party when you meet with Isabela.:innocent: Still a black screen, although Zev's response afterwards is pretty funny.

I really like Isabela, and try to have her as much in my party as I can. I love her funny banter, just as I liked Zevran's amusing banter in Origins. And with a dual wielding Hawke and Isabela in your party, you easily tear through mobs of enemies.

I was really surprised by it. Meredith is human after all!

I wasn't sure how I got it to fire so I looked it up:

Note: This is only known if you side with Meredith at the start of Act 3 and help the templars during On The Loose. When you start the quest Best Served Cold, you can question Meredith during dialogue and she will explain why she has such a hatred for mages.

Wow, that's really sad  You know, I almost feel like this should have been made available to a more pro-mage player because how does it affect the gameplay decisions of someone who is already pro-templar?  It just makes the player go "yeah, yeah, I am totally doing the right thing" rather than make her question whether or not she's making the right decisions within the game.
