Aldy, I'm not mad :P I just needed to rant about ME3 to someone, and I know mah Fenris gals are always listening :D

Yeah I know I'm supposed to play the first two, but didn't you guys read my post?  He only has ME2 and ME3, and if I started ME2 with my male Shep then Kaidan dies, which means I can't romance him in ME3.  Capiche?

Similarity between the Krogan and the Klingons is that they are a very aggressive race, and the other folks have trouble getting them to agree to diplomatic solutions.  Happened all the time in ST. I don't need a ST-loving boyfriend to know that; I'M a ST fan :P  Especially a hardcore DS9 fan, which explored Klingon culture quite a bit.

DA peeps in ME universe, I think Isabela would be a pilot.  Merrill would be a doctor, or perhaps a scientist like Liara. Fenris a straight up soldier, nothing fancy.  But then how good of a soldier would he be without lyrium enhancements? He's a tough and wiry little guy, but he's still little.  I don't know.  Maybe he'd make a better sniper type.  Oh, duh, Anders would be the doctor.  I can see Zevran working as one of those Spectre assassins.  Alistair a diplomat.

I like the idea of Fenris taking up woodworking!  I can see that!  And he would carve little wooden animals for their children *kyahhh!!!*  He'd also garden, practical garden, like fruits and vegetables.  Hawke would read.  I always see Hawke as a great reader, in addition to a warrior.

Fenris would totally be a Vanguard. I can see him doing the Biotic Charge at his opponents and sending them flying. Anders would be . . . a Sentinel, maybe? Mostly because they're the only class that can use the First Aid skill - at least in the first game. Merrill and Bethany would probably be Adepts, since they're the class that if used right, you'll never have to draw your gun. Aveline and Carver would be Soldiers, without a doubt. Zevran would be an infiltrator, I think. Don't know who would be an Engineer, sadly.:(

After the events of DA2, my Sarah Hawke and Fenris to travel the world with Isabela on her ship for a bit. They get married along the way, and then a year later they depart because Hawke is now pregnant. So, they set up home in a house in a woods by a town, and have three kids (girl, boy, girl). Hawke would do some kind of fighting work in the city for money, and Fenris would, like other have said, either do some kind of wood work. I can just see him outside the house, chopping wood, while Hawke is surreptitously watching him.

But, for realistic game purposes, same thing, kids and all, but he's gone to try and free more slaves. DA3 hero shows up to inform Hawke that something's happened, so they team up to try and help Fenris. The eldest kid is told to stay and look after her younger siblings - and that's all I have so far.

Here's some more Fenris:

Mass Effect Vanguard Fenris by Venhedis

I think "Dragon Effect" is a good name for a crossover between the two, you think. Oh, just a little bit of trivia, there are some robot dogs in the ME universe that are called FENRIS Mechs. Just found that out last night while doing my fourteenth playthrough of ME2 - as an Infiltrator. Yay sniping!

OMG Guys I just had a Fenris or Anders moment. Ofc I'm intending to romance Kaidan, but then Shep was talking to Cortez and for the first time a flirt option came up. (Shep can tell Cortez to take some R&R "for me" ... god the "flirt" lines are so annoyingly subtle in this game.) Damn I stared at the screen for ten minutes before deciding to ignore the flirt line.

I hope that whiny little beotch appreciates what I'm doing for him. Shep misses his KK and was having serious boner thoughts about helping a crewmate on the rebound.

Which is another reason I couldn't do it; it seems so douchey to go after someone who's just lost a spouse...

Dang, unfortunately I don't know what all those types mean (Vanguard, etc.). Is Vanguard the one that can throw the glowing blue things and make people float? Like Liara? And the kids at the academy? If so, then I can definitely see Fenris being that kind of warrior.

Okay, it's true he doesn't like tromping through dirt, but that's also just him being a fusspot. I think if he were living along with Hawke and they were living off the land so to speak then I think he could get really into vegetable gardening. Don't ask me why I think this xD

No lemme break it down...vanguards use biotics to literally charge at your foes and explode em. Adepts use warps and the singularity black hole that makes people float. The former uses mostly shotgun proffecincy and the latter pistols....yeah I was into ME before I got into DA so I can easily see Fenris as Vanguard...and Hawke as Infiltrator or Engineer.

I think in DA2, there is an ability choice called "Vanguard". I could be wrong, though. But yeah, Vanguard fits Fenris to the T.
And am I the only one whose mind immediately snapped to "Temple of Doom" when I first saw Fenris do his . . . fisting . . . thing (thanks, Isabela<_<)? My boyfriend was sitting next to me when that scene came along, so I turned to him and said; "Kali Ma! Kali Ma!" I think he busted a rib laughing. He then proceeded to roll his eyes when i chose the flirt option when finishing the recruitment quest. Sigh, he just doesn't understand.

Actually right before he does the fisting scene I always think of that arrow scene from Month python's search of the holy grail. When the captain shouts "lieutenant bring out all the man!"
"*twang* Message for you sir."

But yeah the kali ma scene is too easy...plus i get upset they screw up Kali in general. But Fenris jumping with
Merril clanging about two coconuts...worth imaginging.

Can Isabela, as a captain of a ship marry Hawke and Fenris and it be legal?

Mmmmmmmmm watching Fenris's muscles while chopping wood is simply divine. I can see the sweat running down his chest to his abs and errr elsewhere. Hawke would be peeking out of the window trying desperately not to be seen.

OH! I love the idea of Fenris starting a freedom fighting underground. That would be awesome, for lack of a better word. Brain shutting down this time of night. *writes down plot bunny* I just love that idea! Maybe he starts it!

I have always imagined Hawke having twins first. Muwahahahah, I guess because of Carver and Bethany. They say the gene can be passed on. Fenris and dirty diapers. Now there is some imagery. But I also very much love the idea of Hawke and Fenris adopting. I can see it working either way or maybe they take in some children Fenris has freed from Tevinter. Awwwww that breaks my heart.

Fenris mechs? Hehehehhe someone has been inspired.

Have you ever played Half-Life? Sniping is very well done in that game. So is everything else but I am biased. ;)

Who is Kaidan? I played a bit of ME3, but not ME2 or ME. I can't really comment on the story because it's like I have come in halfway through a conversation. What ruined it for me was the technical aspect. That is because I have worked in the industry, well before I had a baby. Anyway, it was the lip synching etc... that drove me batty. Nothing to do with the characters.

I'm curious to know why I see so many Kaidan lovers liking Fenris. Anyone help with this??? Are there similarities?

Good point Ald in bringing up the mental illness facotr...it just gets cliche after awhile...like watching an old episode of Law & order over a sociopath that killed a hooker from a video game he played, thus the game is bad cause it gave him the idea....or he just wanted to because he's a sociopath!

Grrr plus as somsone with Autism that **** gets sooo played out when someone tries to make it poignant they either come off as rayman, Lenny, or Mommy dearest with a pick axe.

Only reason I might want to beg Fenris in that category cause I know people like him who just seem dependable in business/school errand interactions, but have no clue what to do in a social situation. And trust that is something I, personally, and a few others deal with...oh the joys of the interwebs.

Don't get me started on stereotypes. We all know where that leads.

I think, this is just a theory, that many people fall prey to feeling sorry for Anders. Some still want to remain faithful to DAO Anders. Some fancy the VA, therefore stick up for Anders. I did notice a surge in Anders popularity after the convention. I understand how that happens.

I, to be honest, am neutral when it comes to Fenris's VA. I don't associate the two with each other. I'm attracted to Fenris in the game on a visual and emotional level. I don't find Gideon Emery attractive. It's a guy who gets paid to do a voice. I mean no disrespect, but that's as far as it goes for me. However, I am happy for people who do find both attractive. It's just not for me. It stops at Fenris.

Fenris is socially challenged. But he grows along the way and becomes comfortable with his circle of friends. He dabs into the social realm by making jokes, forming friendships with people like Donnic, Aveline, Varric and of course Hawke. He's not helpless and he is most definitely not incapable:) Misunderstood? Yes! And he definitely does not want pity. He is simply Fenris. You take him or leave him. But what I love most about him is that he does not change to suit someone else and he does not manipulate. He's honest to the point of painful and that is a lovely quality, though hard to accept at times. It also makes people look deeply within themselves. He is made of wonderful :D

LOL he is a fusspot no doubt.

I agree. He would have to help with their survival whether he liked it or not. Working the land is therapeutic and rewarding. You plant a seed, help it grow, and then get rewarded at the end. It's simple, rewarding and you prove to yourself that you are capable. No one can take something like that away from you. It is an accomplishment. :)

YEAH!  I think she should marry them in DA universe, too  They can have the wedding at the Hanged Man. D'awwww.

Oh gosh, no.  Kaidan is probably more like Anders, or Alistair.  He's the puppy eyed (not actual puppy eyes like Fenris, but "I'M JUST SO FULL OF FEELS" kind of puppy eyes) sort of guy who throws Shepherd looks of heartfelt longing right from the get go.  I was a little shocked LOL I had no even initiated a romance yet.  None of the other characters look at Shep in the same way.  So yeah, in the way that he seems to hang on Shep's every word and glance, he's more like Alistair or Anders.

Not really sure who Fenris would be like.  Maybe Liara?  She's kind of aloof.  Garrus I can't get a handle on; I think they forgot his personality back in ME1 and ME2 xD  Oh, he's sort of like the Aveline of the group.  Just steady and always kind of nice, really.

But yeah, I don't see any comparison between Kaidan and Fenris.  Plus let me point out also that I've been playing for like 20 hours and Kaidan's been in the frigging hospital for about 19 of them.  Fenris would never have put up with that sh|t.

DA2 Anders? No. Kaidan is nothing like Anders at all. Kaidan is actually one of the most emotionally stable and nice characters in the ME francise. Even when you cheat on him with one of the LI from ME2, he doesn't seem to hold much of a grudge, and when you reject the option to get back to gether with him (which I did, so I could stay with Garrus), he accepts it and decides to remain as just friends.

Honestly, I can't see Anders doing that. When I rejected him for Fenris, he immediately insulted him. I'd say Kaidan has far more in common with Alistair, really. No offence, just my opinion.

Now Fenris, he seems to be a compsite character of Jack and Garrus. He has Jack's tragic past and thirst for revenge, and he has Garrus's baddassery, devotion to Hawke (after you make up), and again his somewhat vigilate sense of justice (and he has a DAT VOICE voice )

Mmmmmmmmm watching Fenris's muscles while chopping wood is simply divine. I can see the sweat running down his chest to his abs and errr elsewhere. Hawke would be peeking out of the window trying desperately not to be seen.

I know, right? I can just picture it now... :o

Glad I helped ^_^

Sadly, no, I have never played Half-Life. I want to, but I've never been able to get my hands on a copy. Besides, with Uni work, exams and assignments in the way, I haven't even been able to play my video games much. :(

Kaidan is an LI from the Mass Effect series. I don't know why he's propular with with Fenris lovers, but I don't hate him. I just prefer Garrus over him. Though, to be honest, they both have a VERY nice sounding voice, just like Fenris. But, Garrus just appealed to me far more than Kaidan, so I was VERY happy when he became a LI in ME2. The romance was very well done, I think.  And, just for the record, Anders and Kaidan are nothing alike. Maybe Awakening Anders, but definately not DA2 Anders. See above for my reasons.

Kaidan sweet and respectful? Pfft. My Shepard was in a relationship with Garrus since ME2, I have always turned Kaidan down, and in ME3 he tries to arrange a date and goes: "I am in love with you and I want to see where this goes!!!". He didn't even mention Garrus! B*tch. xD

Okay, I know this sounds like blasphemy, but was anybody else tempted to turn Fenris down during the make up scene in act 3? My mouse hovered over the broken heart option for a moment. Not because I wanted to dump him, but.... it had been three years. No chance to discuss the situation with him after he left. I wanted to complain to him that he has taken a bit long to come around. I would have liked to be able to put up more of a struggle. Instead my diplomatic Hawke went: "I understand Fenris. I've always understood!". Ehm. Okay. Okay. xD

I have tried out the option with my rivalmance and found Fenris' reaction a bit disappointing. He made a sad face for a second and says: "I... had to ask. Then I hope we can remain friends". Funny he talked about being friends while on the rivalry path. Usually he then states you are not friends.

Indeed. He looks a lot more hurt when you dump him immediately after the love scene (I just tried that to see his reaction too. No Hawke could really ditch Fenris then xD)

This is going to sound odd, but I have always been confused about something or felt like I missed something.

MissRedZelda wrote...

When does he do that? I've had people mention it before but I'm never sure where that is in the game.

The thing with Kaidan is odd then because he doesn't sound anything like Fenris. But, I've come across it more than once, quite a lot actually. I thought I was missing out on some awesome Fenris type guy.

So... Garrus is kind of like Fenris? Is he the *closes eyes really tight and squeeks don't hit me* lizard green looking guy? I have nothing wrong with people who do not look human btw! Fenris doesn't exactly look human. Just curious.

Hey I'm not saying every Fenris lover like Kaidan, I just noticed that many people who message me and what not do love Kaidan and Fenris. So it made me wonder if they were similar.

Oh the absolute most horrible heart breaking Fenris face ever makes is when you reject him after he comes back to the mansion. Not once he has slammed you against the wall, but when he comes back later. If you reject him on the grumpy red button option, it is just so damn pitiful! I never did it again after that and wish I hadn't done it in the first place. *squishes my Fen*

Actually the thane thread and cosmo can answer that, but his species is originally from a desert planet...which they nuke due to overpopulation and war...so sorta like a what if scenario for humans. But he's dying from space tuberculosis from living on a waterworld with the Hanar that tried to save 1/100 of their population. Yes its all sad, again ask cosmo.

And last I checked...this about fenris dudebro extraordinary!
