MissRedZelda .... I think Fenris would want family too. He went search of it and though it backfired I think he still very much wants it. He can create his own I'll try not to give the "creating" part too much thought.

Oh, I could never see Fenris abandoning his family, even if his child was a mage, actually I think he would be very determined to make certain that the child was responsible with magic. It would also make him understand how awful it is that children get sent to the circle when they are six, My daughter is six, and though it is just a game, the thought of someone taking my child and putting them in a prison is simply beyond comprehension. I'd definitely stay on the run with her.

Bwahahaha, omg! You just keep getting worse, don't you? xD An army of Anders... that must be Fenris' nightmare. And mine. Well, Fenris' true nightmare is probably an army of Danarius, but I'm sure he won't be pleased with this one either, haha.

I'm very curious how your donut Fen turned out.

lol Where's your sim Hawke? I hope Fenris isn't in that bed all by himself. I think he looks pretty good considering what you have to work with. I haven't played sims 3 though. My computer wouldn't be able to handle it. I play sims 2.

Actually this is a lot better than I had anticipated based on my (limited) Sims 3 appearance.:happy: I can definitely see Fenris in him. You have managed to get a not so round, fat face. Nice job aldien! The picture of Fenris sleeping was very cute too, by the way.

Sorry for the power posting, but here comes my answer. I think that Fenris would prefer to be called Fenris, not Leto. With Varania's betrayal, all hope to regain the life he has lost is gone for him. He realizes he can't go back to the person he used to be, that he is now Fenris and not Leto. There is no reason for him to reclaim that name. It would just be another reminder of what he once had.
That's my idea.

Oh, and Sims 2 rulez! We can make very sexy Fenris sims, aaaaand we have the Fenris tattoos available for download now.

I didn't make a Hawke. I had Fen sim hook up with some Elven tramp who likes to clean for some odd reason. I didn't make her that way, but she's always cleaning.

Fen sim is now assistant chief of the fire department. I'm so proud. Funny thing is, the others that that work at the fire station are these four fat old women that do things like fall on their asses when they slide down the poles and occasionally they pass out. Sometimes, they play the guitar and Fen gives them a tip, mostly he just fixes the fire engine and fire alarm. He's all beef cake compared to the four old fat ladies. It's so damn weird.

I've got two twins and another baby. Fen is rather prolific with his Elven tramp. My difficulty for this family is in the red. The Elven mother is constantly changing diapers and cleaning, while Fen goes around blowing up appliances. One dysfunctional family.

Thanks for the reply and I have to agree with your idea. I also think Hawke would prefer to call him Fenris too. You're sims 2 Fenris is quite sexy. The tattoos are cool. Now I want a Fenris sim in my game.

It took several mods just to get Fen sim to look like that. You are just rubbing it in woman!!!!  And my Fen sim can't drink in bed! Ohhhhh I need to buy him a bar. That will be his new hobby

Aveline says to him that he could change his name. Fenris says something about why don't you change your name then?

So... my guess is that he just accepts he is Fenris. I think Leto is dead to him. I mean, he has no memory of being that person. If he did regain his memories I still think he would stick with Fenris. That's the name he had when he met Hawke and hopefully he associates that with good memories more than the bad ones.

Did any of that make sense?

I know some people have him name his son Leto in fanfiction. *shrugs* I don't know if he would or would not.

If Fenris and Hawke were married what would they do about the surname/last name?

Would it be Hawke-Fenris? Maybe Fenris Fenris? Fenris-Hawke? Because it looks like Thedas goes with the tradition approach of using the man's last name. Or how about Fenris I hate Anders Fenris-Hawke?

I can see Fenris naming his son Leto if Hawke says she likes the name. I don't think my Hawke would do it though.

@aldien - HAHA!! Love your list of last names <cheeky>. I believe my Hawkes would still keep their last name. Besides, even if parts of Thedas are traditional with females taking the males surnames, he is an ex-slave from Tevinter......I say tradition be damned. I think he would just be Fenris, and Hawke would just be <insertfirstnamehere> Hawke. At least in my Hawkes' worlds.

Wow, absolutely not.  Besides, "Fenris" IS his real name.  "Leto" WAS his name.  He is Fenris now, and my Hawke would never so insensitive as to call him "Leto" unless Fenris for some bizarre out-of-character reason asked him to do so.

It IS disappointing that whie BW can be really progressive in some instances they will fall back on old misogynistic tendencies in others ... such as Hawke's mother taking his/her father's name.  

However, even though Fenris has no last name, I don't see him going around calling himself "Fenris Hawke" after their married.  Plus in my canon it would be a marriage between two men, so there's not even a question of a legal name change, since, call me crazy, but I'm assuming Thedas does not support same-sex marriage.  

No, their marriage would be of the spiritual kind, perhaps performed by a Dalish keeper or ... I do like the idea of Isabela marrying them  

Marriage, to me, is not about taking someone's name and having someone's babies (both things I will absolutely never do) but about committing before someone, whether it's gods or loved ones or just to one another, that you will be forever faithful to one another.

Moto I was being silly. I thought the whole ridiculousness of it was clear.

Some homosexual couples do change their names. I had a friend who did so but the process was extremely difficult. It is for women too after they get divorced. Such is life. Either way, main thing with the game is it needs balance. Okay done. If you get Harle in here I'm going to spank you Moto.

By the way, I love you sim Fenris How did you get the elf nose? I think he looks exactly like in-game Fenris. He's lovely!! I just adore the look of TS3 sims, but again, I never play TS2 so I'm biased.

I can see Fenris keeping his name the way it is. He was born a slave, so even in his old life and Leto, he probably never had a family name. I'm guessing that he and Varania probably never even knew who their father was.

So yeah, I think the children they have will probably have "Hawke" as their family name... of "Fenris-Hawke". I'll leave it to the fanfic writers :-D

Oh, and Moto, some women hyphen their last name when they marry - my Mum did. And I've never really seen a woman taking the man's last name as a sign of misogny. Cos honestly, there are far worse woman demeaning things out there than that. Just my opinion.

And, I don't thnk same-sex marriage in Thedas is illegal. No one seems to waving a torch and pitchork when M!Hawke flirts with Anders and/or Fenris. Your teammates even comment positively when you get together.

Not illegal; I just don't think it's sanctioned by the Chantry. I say this because we've seen 100% het examples of marriage in DA and 0 f/f or m/m marriages. It's as if it doesn't exist, so perhaps ... it doesn't.

I know people hyphenate their names; my question to those women is: did your husband hyphenate HIS name?

It's a pet peeve, like I said, so probably best not to talk about it further

The Chantry doesn't seem to have an opinion of it, and there's no one protesting against it in the game. So, I don't think Thedas has a problem with it.

Anyway, back to Fenris. I don't think his white hair is genetic, it seems very possible that his hair was jet black before the lyrium (judging by his eyebrows). My Hawke was blonde, so the kids may more likely be black haired.
