Aww I thought I asked nicely enough lol You guys are very prickly.

I still think the LadyHawke connection is a coincidence, but you never know. And it is a good movie!! If you can get past how annoying Matthew Broderick is xD

Maybe I got tired of hearing about baby-birthing Hawke. It is all over this thread and then it is all over my personal life. Everyone is having babies. It's all over FB. My friends, my cousins, my in-laws (sister's brother-in-law); hell, I just remembered, my own brother is having a damn baby. The other day, my mother asked me (referring to a picture of a baby), Wouldn't you want one of these? I know she was teasing, but I am tired of that line of teasing. It isn't funny, and she never likes my answer. No, I do not want one of those, and it does not make me a freak because I don't.

Anyway, sorry for taking out my frustration on you guys. I feel safe here in the Fenris thread though ^^ All of this traditional crap being discussed, marriage, babies, name changes, etc. It just got to me.

Ahhhhhhhhhh the no baby club. I'm a proud member of it myself. So is my spouse. ;)

Anyway, bottom line: the gaming experience - even with a certain LI - is going to differ for everyone. To me, Hawke's a chick. A nice one, who blows off Fenris' moods and carries on with her business until he comes around. She doesn't sleep with anyone else because she's too busy - and her favorite weapons are daggers. ;)

Don't worry, Moto, you won't get any baby talk from me. Heck, I won't even talk about weddings or marriage, it's apparently not my thing. And on that note, I can relate all too well to babies all around and people poking at you for not having any, even in jest. At least I'm so old now, they've sort of realised I'm NOT having any (except the sponsored ones in Africa and they don't really count).

So no matter how adorable they might be, no elf/shem babies here. My Hawke and Fenris value their grown-up time :D

Meh Im for either or...again depends on that shank by the Arishok.

Also call me crazy, but does "Country Song" by Seether fit for Hawke and Fenris Relationship suring act 1-2?

And this is how the thread gets one sided. Suddenly anyone who wants to consider Fenris and children is put on the defensive. *signs up to the kiss my petunia club*

I'll take my traditional marriage liking, child rearing a-s-s elsewhere. This always happens. People chat, person complains, suddenly it's not you can talk about whatever you like, it's let's have at it. Let's just dig that knife in and completely ostracize people's different viewpoints.

Sick of it, whatever, have at it. Done.

Aldy you knew it was coming so dont feel osctra...ostritch... like an outcast by it. Again there are subjects that get on people's nerves that we end up full circle on on this thread that irritate others, me included. So don't feel sad damn it....talk it over via messeges if your that upset.
Plus you shouldn't get upset if it isnt your canon and you feel outnumbered.

it's ok...I'll blow on your tum-tums and make you feel better...you and anyone else who pulls this...I got enough early grandmother crazy in me to do it!

Sings the 'can't we all just get along' song. ;)

I don't think any of us are immature enough to think disagreeing with someone elses opinion necessarily means arguing......right? ;)

Well since text carries no emotional tone you can accidentally misinterpret it....then again last I check all fandoms are on the crazy side, so we're not any different.

Still I'll admit its a damn guilty pleasure to think of fen/hawke babies when really they wont have time with templar mage war extravaganza. this dragon age, dragon age, dragon age! Coming to a chantry circle near you.

Who is angry? o.O

Other than me at my mom and her irritating teasing.

EDIT: And let me add that you would think my brother, who is 29, finally having a kid would let me and my sis off the hook.  But no!  NO.  We are expected to procreate.  Also let me add that the woman is a kindergarten teacher.  Her obsession with babies is all-consuming.

*Keep in mind, if y'all recall, that my post-DA2 fantasy for Hawke and Fenny-Fen is that they live in happy solitude in some beautiful cabin in the forest, where they perhaps adopt a run-away mage child (elf? because I love elves).

Yeah have your fun. We want to get personal? Well let's get personal. Some of you don't like the idea of children, you feel people are always pushing you to have children. Well, some of us wanted more children and we can't have them. You see, it goes both ways. I did not push my views on people and say why wouldn't you want children? I most definitely did not in any way, shape or form poke fun at people who do not want children. I was just having a laugh on here. I didn't ask anyone to support me. All I wanted was to express my view of Hawke and Fenris. You want a pet peeve well here is mine, Moto.

I only feel sorry you got hurt here. That's not what this thread is for. Unfortunately nobody here knows each other's story, so it might happen that people stumble onto stomething that is actually painful for someone when more personal topics are discussed.

I hope you and everybody else can still come back to have a laugh here.

(Hugs aldien) Don't worry, I'm part of the "I do what to have kids one day, but only when I feel I am ready" club. Right now, I'm only 20 and am still stufying in University. So, right now I am DEFINITELY not ready for kids. And even then, I only want one - a little girl. But, my boyfriend said that he wants at least one boy as well, which i guess is understandable. He wants a son so he and him can do father-son stuff with - and I can underdstand that. Doesn't mean he'll totally ignore our daughter as well though. I can tell he wants a family one day. And y'know, that's a rare thing in a guy, especially one my age.

And moto, I'm sorry if you got upset by our discussing family, babies, "traditional stuff", but this is a public forum. We have no problem with you wanting to discuss M!Hawke and Fenris, but that also means that you might have to put up with us wanting to talk about "traditional stuff". Sorry, but it goes both ways. I just don't talk about M!hawke and Fenris because that's not how I play the game. I prefer to play as F!Hawke because I enjoy that fact that I can actually choose to play as my own gender. I can connect with her far more now (And because now I can finally flirt with Balthier as "myself")

Sorry for going off topic!

I consider my first playthrough and complete game hawke as my cannon Hawke - a mage named Sarah Hawke (I'd show you a screenshot of her, but I don't know how. She's blonde, with that shoulder-lengh wavy hair option and blue eyed. Modeled her after one of my cousins). DA2 is an entirely subjective game, so we can play the game how we like and imagine our own endings. I just happen to imagine my Hawke and Fenris settling down somewhere, away from the fighting to raise a family. I just think, after everything Fenris has gone through, he would want a family of his own. Something that he can hold onto and cherish. Whether the kid's of his own blood or an adopted orphan - I can't see that mattering to him.

And this has to be one of my favourite DA2 comics:

I often lurk here and I'm sorry to see so many people upset. So I'll try to make someone ( anyone ) laugh, or at least smile. Was playing and my Hawke looked up just in time to see this:

And start yelling, " Isabela! What are you doing?! That's MY elf! MINE!"

Edited because I can't spell tonight:)

Truly a valid point. I posted up Fen pics of him with kids and despite me not wanting kids in real life, I still think the idea of a video game character passing on his legacy is intriguing.

Now... erhmmm getting back to what I had posted that seemed to trigger all this...

uh...

LADYHAWKE dammit.

And my computer wont let me into standard form...thank you pc *curses like a sailor* But I want to quote Miss red for pointing out this is a public forum so we're going to get varying shades of grey, not the book, on opinions for our lyrium subject. (Also I so love that comic...especially when he can't get Carver to bro fist him and feels sad)

Also Im soo joing red's club on the subject of kids before we end up in a weird dr. suess tale of: how do you like your fenris glistening? With body oil or hot out of a shower?

Dearest aldien, no one said you were pushing your views on anyone nor poking fun at them, either. Neither were anyone doing vice versa. All that happened was that Moto was feeling a little alone with her M!Fenris+Hawke sentiment. And when the babies seemed to flood not only this thread but her personal life as well, she vented a little, which is good. Venting is good (swooping is bad). I think there is plenty of love and space for it here <3 So don't take it personal, aldien, it certainly wasn't ment to be. Just read through some of the pages, you'll come to remember that this thread is by far one of the most tolerant, pleasant and relaxed on all of the forum :)

And as for the babies, well, I'll repeat/rephrase what I said about F!Hawke or M!Hawke with Fenris: Just because some of us don't see Hawke and Fenris having children doesn't mean we dislike versions of their future life where they do. I really love hearing what everybody has rummaging in their heads concerning Fenris. That's why I love to read fanfiction and watch fan art. It gives depth and perspective to Fenris and the rest of the gang that is really rewarding.

Ummmmmmm you guys, srsly, scroll up to my post and you can see I was just asking if you knew of another discussion forum that was more full of M!Hawke x Fenris fans than FemHawke x Fenris fans, like maybe a BL/yaoi gaming forum?  I am a member at aarinfantasy.com but most of my old BL elf-loving gal pals no longer post there.

Never said anyone couldn't talk about what they wanna talk about ^^

Y'all are funny lol

Okay I just beat ME3.  Someone ... console me :crying:
