Indoctrination theory:  and Fanfiction.

Don't worry, we ALL hate the ME3 ending. That's what we have "Selective amnesia" for. ;)

I genuinely feel like I went into mourning after the end of ME3. I felt horrible for about 4 days and couldn't stop thinking about it. My poor Kaidan. :crying: I've not replayed it since and am waiting until the DLC comes out to go through it again...

Wow aldien, I really think you're reading too much into Moto's statement. I mean okay, 'traditional crap' can perhaps be seen as an unfortunate choice of words as it might (and apparently did) rub someone the wrong way if they're sensitive to it. But you're reacting as if it were a personal attack on you and that was not what it was.

And you did just now return in full force calling her 'passive/aggressive' and 'playing victim' which really isn't very nice. Isn't there some way we can get an understanding here? No one has attacked you or intentionally tried to insult/hurt you so just make up with Moto and we can all get back to talking about Fenris, please? No need to burn bridges for no reason at all.

Also I would like to clarify I live a pretty traditional life as well, I just don't have any children. I am aware of this and people poke fun at me for it but I don't need to defend it, it's of my own choosing.
We all live like we want to, right?

Before I write the rest of my reply, I want you to understand that i am not having a go at you. Please don't take it that way. I knew I would become the bad guy in this scenario.

I wrote my reply with the knowledge that I'd probably be banned by the end of the day. But, occasonally being honest is worth it. I also deliberately did not bring anyone else into this because my issue is with Moto. This isn't the first time I've seen it happen either, but it was too personal to ignore this time.

Maybe I am reading too much into it, but If you bring personal baggage onto a public forum it has the extreme potential to become very personal, especially when it can be taken as an insult to people with different beliefs.  I state plainy what I think because it is the best way to be with people. It's better than covering things up with smiley faces.

Anyway, I do hope people continue to discuss Fenris, occasionally have a laugh and get along. It wasn't my intention to be a biatch or to cause mass chaos to the thread. It will be seen that way but I was on the losing side from the start. Those buttons were pushed and the undercurrent of I'm the odd one out was made.

Wow where to begin....ok first up IM gonna have to bro'fist Aldy for doing research on her rebuttal and wag of the finger for bringing it tot he forum.
Granted I get it, you two have been doing this weird passive agressive "beat it' version of a knife/dance fight for awhile, but its not looking good on either side.

For Alden I have to say you let things get to you when you shouldn't, yes we all say it, but you really went hard out that this is close to getting you banned. Yes the moto's weird hit a hard nerve for you, but I knew you no better to dust it off your shoulders and go about your day. Its just this subject shouldn't be the one that sets you off. Its not worth any BS that comes of it.

For moto....yeah you have been a little whiney about about the slash saying how your the only one supporting it...yet by all means youre not helping it either with this display as well. Yes I can admit some people see an appeal for two men going on each other for that ideal fantasy...and some just rather see a realistic story about two guys. You can't please them all, but learn if you don't like it walk away. The internet is huuuuge and you'll never be alone in finding your mhawke/fenris fullfillment.

Granted Im getting to the point of acting like a grandmother to say this:both of you pull up your bigboy pants and talk it out in private messeges. I don't care if you both come to terms in a disaster or happy peace times. Deal with it.

Now if I have to be the pinkie pie of the group here.

^Hey compared tot he jacob threads....this is nothing. The crap we get for liking a boring man who isnt Kaiden.

Only way I see us turning into them is Having Fenris go into Hawke's room claiming about the priiiize., being shirtless and all of a sudden he's on a horse. (The horse is Danarius ball and gagged)

Plus if you think your getting banned, don't think it or act it....act like an adult. Wait why am I acting like the crazy grandmother...that just don't add up.

It seems I missed something again and now I don't understand what's going on anymore. xD

Can't we be like Isabela and go back to guessing the color of Fenris' underwear?

I think the coolest thing about Fenris is how masculine he is. (Thank you Gideon Emery for such a manly voice, by the way.) I remember meeting Anders and not being as nearly as impressed. Fenris seemed like the most masculine choice for my Hawke. There's a certain degree of chivalry he shows her, too. Can't get enough of this picture:

That's interesting about the manliness... I actually thought all the males from DA2 were pretty damn manly lol. Even Carver grew some balls after he joined the Templars/Grey Wardens. Anders was really gentle and caring (more than Fenris IMHO) but was still really masculine.

Varric was the manlinest though. OMG THE CHEST HAIR.

Carver was hot. A pity that we were siblings, am I right? Varric's chest hair was fairly f*cking awesome too. Fenris had that manly, rugged Han Solo thing going for him. Just a dude on the run, you know what I mean? I liked how his skin looks weathered, too. They didn't give him a girly baby face or soften him up. They made him look like a grown man - like he was on the brink of growing a 5 o'clock shadow, despite being an elf. haha!

Despite my claims for this but yes...that elf should of grown a beard, or a moustache, to show how manly he was and is! Purrrrrrr.

I'm always a fan of 5 o'clock shadow - kind of like how Anders had. It's rugged. <3

You and me both xD  Apparently aldy said mean things about me but erased them (yay for waking up late!) and then Ghost said some mean stuff but I didn't read it, so, nyah :P

Oh wow, that's so interesting.  I don't find Fenris masculine at all (obviously lol).  He's so ... pretty.  And tiny.  The only thing masculine about him is his voice, and that's why it's such a great choice for him.  It's startling.  In fact the first time I saw him I was disappointed because I thought he looked pretty ridiculous lol I know, blasphemy >.<

Well to be honest ... now as I think about it ... I find few aspects of traditional masculinity OR femininity in Fenris. Certainly Anders is the more masculine-looking; he also is the more sensitive and falls easily in love, which are traits traditionally associated with femininity (rubbish, of course, but there it is).

In short, I think Fenris defies stereotypes and tha'ts why we love him

In fact I think DA is very good about that because so far none of the characters have ever turned me off.  The men are very emotional and thoughtful and the women are assertive.  YAY BW <3

Yeah it's weird, I thought the only pretty thing about Fenris was the emo/anime-esque hair they gave him. Otherwise, he looks exactly like an ex boyfriend of mine. Strong, lean, tall, and very masculine facial features (especially the brow, the haggard skin, the tough jawline - eee! I could go on!) Uh for the record my ex did not have elf ears, though. Ha. Just thought I'd clarify that one, there.

Nah. He was an albino, though. Not joking - it was apparently a condition. He basically looked very pale and had blond hair that was near-white. Other than that, blue eyes (not the red kind as seen in animals).

Fenris isn't tall though. He is lean, verging on lanky, and he does have that masculine jaw structure >.< Which I don't like xD I would totally mod him if I could.

Your ex sounds lovely *_*

I wish I had a better photo of him. Ha! We dated back in the day when no one had cell phones. Photos were rare unless it was a special occasion - or you were a photographer. jk. Also it's a band pic so of course it's contrasted to sh*t.

p.s. Fenris is taller than my Fem Hawke. ;)

Aww he's young :)

omg Really? I am obsessed with their heights lol I'm constantly trying to stand them all in a row so I can judge their height. I thought Anders was taller than M!Hawke, for instance, but he's not actually. I thought Fenris was the same height as Isabela but I may be wrong.

A part of me really misses the elves from DA:O. They were so tiny and cute xD
