haha For some reason I always want to button him back up when I see that pic xD It's like I'm worried that he's getting cold or that he's ... not himself, like maybe he's on drugs or something and is about to make a terrible decision.

I'm such a mama OTL

(Throws holy water on moto) Blasphemy! The Maker demands Fenris be shirtless!

Just joking XD. But seriously, why hide such a gorgeous body from us drooling fangirls?

Don't worry, I'm sure Hawke will keep him warm. I personally would worry more about his feet getting cold since the poor man doesn't wear shoes.

I leave you with this:

Since playing Dragon Age 2 and meeting the wonderful character Fenris, I have begun to donate to modern day Anti-slavery groups. I'm not here to loiter or to ask you to make donations. I just want to make people aware that slavery has not been eradicated by any means. It somehow seems poignant to bring it up in this thread. I can't imagine why. ;)

If any of you are interested you can learn more here: Free the Slaves and here: Anti-slavery

Free the Slaves is an American organization and Anti-slavery International is English and very well respected. Usually, you will find an organization in your respective country. I suppose I was wrong when I said slavery was handled badly in DA2. It made me think.

Thank you! :) Lots of love and all done. B)

Strangely, of all the picture I have come across this one has drawn out the most emotion for me. I see all of Fenris.

Okay, indulgence over. :)

Thank you for the links; that is quite possibly one of the "best" (in quotes because of course there's nothing great about slavery...) posts in this entire thread. Really awesome that talking about Fenris made you (and now us) think of those less fortunate.

Sorry this is totally unFenrisrelated but I figured I'd ask you guys cuz you're all so smart. :innocent:

Has anyone managed to get a Hawke that looks like the one from the Destiny trailer? As opposed to the 'standard' Hawke that comes on the Character Creator? He looks pretty different to me and I'd rather have the slightly younger looking Hawke from Destiny with a heavy scruff than the weird 'old man' full bearded look that is the default Hawke. :pinched:

Try this: Use the bald head (first one after default ones).  Darken the skin.  Fill the cheeks out a it and possibly bring in the jaw (this head has a really hard jaw and sallow cheeks but he looks fine once you fix that).  Choose the second complexion.  Use the default Hawke hair (only PC modders can do this; I can't).  Give him a full face of scruff.

Maybe that would be close?

Thanks hon. Think I'll give that a go. I don't have any mods installed so it should be interesting...

Hmm without the default hair it probably won't look anything like what you want.  Maybe try Carver's hair?

I downloaded the mod that lets you adjust the default face and managed to get something pretty damn close. Thanks hon.

Y'know, I kinda wish they had done a Mass Effect, and made a Lady Hawke trailer as well, using the default Marian Hawke. It's a good marketing move on Bioware's part for Mass Effect because it gave Femshep fans what they wanted, and brought in news fans into the circle (mostly female). It baffles me why they haven't done the same thing for DA, giving the fact that nearly all their games allow you to customise your character right down to the sex.

Sigh. Here's hoping they'll do it for DA3.

Sweet!!! The bald face is pretty much the default face minus the hair, so that's why I suggested it, but tbh I'm not entirely sure... so actually getting to work with the default face is miles better xD

Yeah it would have made it so much more interesting for me in many ways. Don't get me wrong, I utterly -loved- Hawke from the Destiny trailer but I must admit, I would rather romance him than play him

And if I have to be completely honest (and I do, don't I?) I was a bit miffed I couldn't and was -THIS- close to modding his body onto somebody else. But since ingame mHawke is not completely like Destiny trailer Hawke, I couldn't be bothered. :)

Edited because the user doesn't allow hotlinking and I don't want to step on any toes by hosting it myself.

Edit2: Am hosting it but like was said, I don't know who the artist is :? But I love it too much not to host it <3

^I can't see it. :(

I have Varania/Danarius question (no, not THAT type of question :P). It's about Varania becoming Danarius' apprentice. It has always surprised me when she says that. Not because she's an elf and a simple servant, but... isn't she too old to become an apprentice? Maybe I'm influence by books, where magic has to be trained at a young age and apprentices are regularly children, but in the DA universe children are taken into the Circle at a young age as well, and as far as I know they begin their study then. Varania must have had some training in withstanding demons and all... (does every mage in Tevinter automatically get training? Even slaves?), but becoming a full-blown magister no doubt takes an immense amount of practice and training.

So, long story short, do you think Varania really would have become Danarius' apprentice, or did he simply lie to her?

Zerochan is just an image-hosting website, mainly anime. You wouldn't be stepping on any toes by hosting it, although whoever uploaded that to zerochan did not include a source, which is awfully sucky of them.

Yes I LOVE it too, it's been my android phone wallpaper ever since I found it. Meaning I get to look at the steamiest elf in existence ever every time I check my phone, text, calendar, write notes, play games, listen to music, get bored.. aka all. The. Time.<3 I even follow JHourney on Deviantart because that image is so awesome.

On the Varania question, I've often wondered if she was really a mage or if Denarius made the sort of offer to her that the Pride Demon did to Fenris in the Fade. After all would she know any different? She had either witnessed or been told what Denarius did to her brother which made him unique - why wouldn't she think that he could do something similar for her?
If she was a mage, then it seems odd that she did nothing to defend herself from Fenris, which would suggest she hadn't advanced much as a mage in the time since she was freed. According to Chantry propaganda, mage children are taken from their parents in Tevinter in much the same way that they are in the rest of Thedas. If true, then the only difference is that it is the Magisters who control how those children are trained. This would make sense as they would want to avoid the possibility of rebellion against their rule. Fenris says that power in Tevinter lies in the hands of a nobility that can trace their magical ancestry back to the time of the Thedas wide Imperium. I've always felt that even if Varania was a mage, the suggestion she could ever be a Magister was an empty promise as these noble human families would never allow an elf (however talented) to become one of them. She would be tolerated as an apprentice or junior mage but never more than that.

Good points, thank you.:) Although it sounds odd to me Varania would actually not be a mage. Becoming a magister's apprentice would obviously require magical talent, and if she thought she could simply be given that power, that would make her very unknowning for an Imperial citizen. Even a lowly servant would know you are born with magic, wouldn't she?
I had the idea the discrimination against elves with magic might be less strong in Tevinter, because magical power is a greater determinant for power there. I know I've read that he magisters suppress both ordinary people and other mages, so being a mage is no guarantee for a life of wealth, but I thought it might be possible for a very talented mage to fight his way into the senate. It was possible in the Roman senate, although very unlikely, because indeed most senators were nobles.

But I guess Danarius indeed lied when he promised Varania to make her his apprentice. For the next update of my fic I am writing a chapter from Danarius' point of view, so that's part of the reason why I asked. I was also just curious about it, because it always made me wonder.
