- He has a distinctive accent which would make it easy to pinpoint.

- He's voiced another character in a major RPG.

I'm not sure the second point was necessarily meant to be taken entirely seriously.

I think it's just as likely that David Gaider was making reference to the fact the Varric thread guessed his VA before anyone actually heard him speak.

So I don't doubt he's got a distinctive accent, but the "30 seconds" bit probably isn't as important.
