Sometimes Moto you are just mean. Maybe it is cheesy, but truth be known, I love to hear Gideon sing. I sure the hell wouldn't want Meredith singing to Orsino or Carver to Isabela. Just Fenris to Hawke, or perhaps, some romantic verse from a book. Cheesy can be nice in small quantities.

To be fair, it would all come down to the way it is done. I wouldn't want a sudden burst out musical type of thingy. Just something natural. Besides, that would be a beautiful side to see of Fenris. All this time, underneath the killing and harshness that he can portray, he has this wonderful ability to sing that he never shares. What a beautiful contrast. Okay, hopeless romantic here.

I find it really weird hearing the voice actors of characters from games sing. I nearly flipped my sh!t when I heard Greg Ellis (Cullen's VA) sing... he's surprisingly very good, but it was so strange to hear. It never crossed my mind that either Greg or Gideon could actually sing.

I think in some cases it would flesh out the characters a bit. Why hasn't Varric ever sung a drinking song? Or Isabela teach dirty pirate drinking lyrics to Merrill? It might be fun if implemented properly.

Huh???????????????????

On another note, I am replaying ME3, and boy, it sure does make me appreciate the Hawke x Fenris romance (or hell, any of the DA2 romances) more.  In ME3 you have to sit through scenes like this:

Kaiden: Are you flirting with me, Commander? <3
Shepard: *stone face*  How's your family?

It's like, wow, either Shepard is just shy and shows it terribly OR ... s/he's a straight up automaton

Omg hearing those two singing drunken songs would have been AMAZING!

I noticed that too, Shepard herself/himself seemed to be more stone faced than the other companions. I mean, sure Hawke pulled some really derpy facial expressions but at least it was funny!

At least s/he had expressions period!  I can't speak for FemHawke but I'm sure she is animated no differently than DudeHawke, and I know her VA is just as awesome as his... unlike MaleShep (I think FemShep is slightly better).  But even being derpy is being SOMETHING, you know?

Plus I have to admit, some of Hawke's derpiest moments with Fenris are my favorite <3 For example, when s/he first hits on Fenris, and Fenris does the giggle/cough ... I know a lot of people hate that moment but I adore it for some reason xD I totally squee'd and texted my brother-in-law (whose game I was playing at the time while he and my sis were on vacation).  I'm sure he really cared how excited I was about flirting with a pixelated elf xD

But my most favorite derpy Hawke moment is when s/he goes, "Oh, I don't know; that might have been fun to hold over you" or something to that nature, and Fenris says something all cute and passionate, and Hawke then becomes overcome with passion and KISS KISS KISS!!!!!!!!

 Sigh...

Aw man, see THIS is what I miss because my stupid game won't let me romance Fenris!

... But anyway, I think my favorite derpy moment with Hawke (specifically male Hawke) is in MotA with the bees, that one had me in hysterics for ages after!

Wait, WHAT?!  Your game won't let you romance Fenris?  How so?  (And did you already talk extensively about this and I just forgot? >.>)

In light of me mocking Leliana's singing xD ... I came across this pic:

I thought the white-haired elf was Fenris!  But alas, it appears to be the Warden.  (Pic is by aimo, of course) I'm sure he's a better singer than Enya I mean Leliana.

Maker's Breath! Does anyone besides me like Leliana?! I actually liked her singing sequence, even if it was bit of a Bog Lipped Alligator Moment.

I still enjoyed her little song number.

I don't hate Leliana, and the music wasn't bad. But the scene was cheeeeeeeeeesy! No way did it seem like she was really singing that song. I mean, WHERE DID ALL THE INSTRUMENTS COME FROM? xD

Okay, I can't decide which I like better ... Leliana's traveling troop of invisible dwarven minstrels, or the Warden discreetly hitting "play" on Ye Olde Boombox.

Going back a couple of pages here, but there has been a sudden burst of activity in the thread.

Well, ideally I would hope Fenris would read fiction simply for the pleasure of reading. I did notice there is a book in his mansion in Act III entitles: The Maker's First Children. Whether we are supposed to assume he is reading it or not who can say. But, perhaps that is Sebastian's influence on him?

Hmm...The Maker's first children would be spirits. My first reaction on seeing that title was "so Fenris is reading up about spirits? maybe he's trying to figure something out about Anders?" rather than "oh, Seb must've given him this".

I agree! I didn't even realise that moment existed because I'd skipped past all the 'extra' dialogue the first couple of playthroughs. When I saw it I genuinely made a :o face. Now that I know more about Fenris it makes me strongly think anyone might have EVER flirted with him in a genuine way (not just dirty old magisters as a means to an end...) and he had no idea how to deal with it. Which is why the 'I need to consider this' line later in the romance makes such sense - he really does need to think about it because it's not something that comes naturally for him.

Oh Fenris...you and your many layers. <3

It is mentioned in the Chant of Light and is the start of the explanation of the world, including the Golden City. I guess that is why I saw it as a Chantry text. *shrugs*

Some days, I think Fenris leaves the problem with Anders up to Hawke to deal with and gives him very little thought. Then again, maybe he is trying to find a reason to convince Hawke that Anders needs to be dealt with. *ponders*

Aww, yeah, I know; he is such a precious sweetie :crying: I think the writers handled the characters' reaction to flirting so well.

Fenris: Surprise/Shyness
Anders: Pleasant surprise (he's such a manwh@re lol)
Merrill: Tries to deflect with humor/uncomfortable
Isabela: LET'S GET IT ON, BABY

Leliana's was bloody hard given that her default outfit is just a Chantry robe... I'm least pleased with how hers turned out :\\

I can recognize Leliana in the clothes you picked, so I think you succeeded.:) (loved your Morrigan compilation too)

Has someone a favourite sentence from Fenris? Something like:

I love both. 'I am yours' is a pretty big deal for Fenris to say since I assume he doesn't want to feel like he belongs to anyone anymore. But he knows how Hawke feels and that s/he won't put too much behind it.

And 'I enjoy following you' is so cute because every time he says it I have this image of him staring at Hawke's ass and I think 'yeah, I bet you do...'
