Edit: On a more DA related front, I've just started a playthrough of Legacy and played it post game. But in the companion selection screen, Anders wasn't there. Now, granted I killed him at the end of my playthrough but since it's meant to take place during Act 3....why wouldn't he still be available as a teammate?

I wanna mod my Xbox too but stupid GFF editor is all "this program doesn't support me opening or maybe I'm corrupted... deal with it." which I do, by throwing a fit.
On a Fen related not. I miss Fen. *la sob* Trying to start playthrough ten million and it's... I need... I need to no longer be able to mouth the lines along, or a change of scenery or something. The rival romance is still too "Ryzaki ruined youuuuu!" for me to playthrough fully. *grumble* I'll get her back.

Before Hawke and Fenris become a couple do you think Fenris knows he is drop dead gorgeous? It seems simple on the surface, but I often wonder what Danarius told him concerning his looks and general overall worth.
Any thoughts? Input very much appreciated. (now trying to think up a description for a perfume dedicated to Danarius

I know it's not Fenris related but I just played the end of ME3 with the EC andOmg the scene with your LI before the crucible if your LI gets hurt. I just started massively crying. Am such a sucker for Kaidenlove...
OMG I KNOWWWWW
I wish Garrus romance were open to first time players; as it is, with my FemShep, I can't romance Kaiden cause he like belongs to my DudeShep, so I've been going for Liara. Whom I like, but more as a friend, you know?

Nah, you gotta play them before the final act if you want both Anders and Sebastian available.

Are you modding DA2?? It shouldn't say that ... unless your save is corrupted....

Yep definitely., I only have a femShep that I've played through all 3 games with. I have a maleShep that I romanced Liara with for the first two games but gave up during ME2...I just didn't really care that much about her... I have about 3 or 4 runs of the first two games with various LIs (Kaidans/Garruses and one weird Jacob playthrough) but after the emotional ending of ME3 I only finished one of them.
But (and I know I'm probably going to get shot down for this...) I simply don't get attached to female LIs. My abandoned Isabela/Liara playthroughs attest to this.

Firstly, why did you say you wouldn't come back? I'm not sure if I missed something but it would be a shame if you weren't around anymore. I really appreciate your input with stuff. You seriously know your Fenris.
Anyhoo, onto your question. No.
But, saying that, of all the LIs I think the only one who would consider themselves 'attractive' is Isabela. And even she admits that most of her success with men is casting a wide enough net.

Oh, "me" ... are you modding (or trying to mod) Mass Effect 3? You can't use GFF for that. There is a special ME3 modding tool, works for both PC and 360 saves.

Anyhoo, onto your question. No.Absolutely not. Fenris would never ever class himself as attractive. He sees himself as weapon and a 'tool' (certainly until he became comfortable in his relationship with Hawke...) and certainly seems shocked when s/he shows interest.
But, saying that, of all the LIs I think the only one who would consider themselves 'attractive' is Isabela. And even she admits that most of her success with men is casting a wide enough net.
I left for the same reason many others have departed. Now, I just read the posts when I get a chance especially when a lively debate happens. Once you are out of the thread loop it is hard to get back into it. It has a natural cycle.
Hmmmm, if he did not find himself attractive why would he attempt to flirt with Hawke and Isabela? This just keeps cycling through my head as I write. One minute it seems simple, the next not so much. :/ It's damn frustrating. I wish he was as easy to write as his scent is to describe

I, for one, am very happy you broke your oath. It's great to have your insights around again! ^^
I think Fenris knows he's attractive, but I don't think it adds to his feeling of self-worth. Danarius treated him like a pet at best, an object at worst. Fenris knew that Danarius valued him as a powerful fighter to intimidate others (such as having him pour wine at dinner parties), and a pretty bauble to show off at parties. Danarius treated him like a status symbol to make others jealous; something to be used to reflect his master's worth and not his own. Like a trophy.
I don't think Fenris sees being a powerful warrior or a gorgeous elf as something to be truly proud of. When Hawke flirts with him about being handsome, Fenris doesn't contradict Hawke's compliments, but he still enquires about other areas where he feels he lacks. "I'm an escaped slave and an elf; doesn't that bother you?" He knows that humans view elves as inferior and slaves as objects. Since he has such an empty self-image (since he doesn't remember ever being anyone or anything else besides those at that point), he feels that the only value he has is the kind others assign him. Other people find him gorgeous, other people find him useful, but that's not all he wants out of life. He wants to find (or create) something in himself that he can value.
Fenris values freedom, independence, living as a free man. I think he wants some internal sense of worth that others can't slap a price tag on. Being gorgeous? Yeah, so are prize-winning animals. Being skilled in a fight? Yeah, so are gladiators. Being a free man? No one can diminish that. Being someone that he can respect? It won't matter what others think.
Does this make any sense?

Since I didn't initially think Fenris was attractive (and while I love him to bits, I still don't think he's overly good-looking) I never imagined he would think of himself as such. While I agree he has his charms and a smile to die for, it was always what was beneath that attracted me: His seriousness and integrity, his honesty and intensity and the way he would speak his mind even if it was a different opinion than Hawke. His looks were always secondary to me and so I always imagined they were to him, too.
A reason for this is that even the most beautiful people, when treated poorly, experience extremely low self-esteem. They think less of themselves in all aspects and looks are no exception. And If you're told often enough you're a just a worthless slave, a thing someone owns and can do with as they please, an object without free will, you start to think that way about everything. And while I'm sure Danarius has told Fenris often enough he's a pretty little thing, I imagine Fenris never really put any value to his words since everything Danarius ever said or did only made his life miserable.
So when Hawke says that line about a waste of perfectly handsome elf, I think Fenris doesn't disagree simply because he has heard those words paraphrased a thousand times before by someone he'd rather forget. Somewhere inside him, a small part of him recognises the compliment and is flattered by it, especially being served by someone who is apparently completely indifferent to him being both elf and former slave. But I don't think it matters that the compliment is about his looks; it's more the fact that he was compliment at all by someone who, apparently, has no ulterior motive.
(.. and who is quite obviously hitting on him like a sledgehammer on a drywall :innocent:)

Awww! You took all my own thought on the subject and then worded it pretty too!
I agree with Faerunner, I also think Fenris knows he is attractive, maybe it's more my head canon but when you first meet him and he says "I will need your help" he drops his head and looks up at you through lashes. I don't ever remember reading or seeing that move pullled by anyone who wasn't trying to appear more vulnerable and manipulate (harsh word but eh) their target. I dunno to me he seems to know he's handsome and knows how to use that to his advantage. But, I still think he feels pretty worthless.
Moto: I would be so pleased and follow you around like a puppy if you did! Thanks.

It's great to see you posting here!
I beleive Fenris has an idea he is attractive, he knows he can be intimidating. Intimidation can take many forms. He knew Hadriana was jealous of him, of the attention he got from Danarius (am I remember that correctly?). It seems like Danarius, being such the creeper that he is, would go after attractive ‘subjects’, therefore, Fenris must be attractive. That’s my take on it.
**
During a conversation with Seneschal Bran, Fenris turned and looks directly into the camera.

Then, both Fenris and Varric do it and it became creepy.

It’s like they’re trolling me.
Daedeth decided to romance Isabella this PT (hence the Robes) but I have a feeling a new Hawke for Fenris is right around the corner.

YES! Okay, all the slave stuff aside, I am someone who grew up thinking she was hideous to look at. But now that I am a little more confident about my appearance, I sometimes look at myself in the mirror and am surprised by how pretty I am. I mean, I am taken aback, surprised that I am not as hideously ugly as I've always thought myself. So maybe Fenris has moments like these, when he sees himself, and feels a little surprised. Not thinking about Hawke, or Danarius, but just realizing that he actually is attractive.
And hey I love the "waste of a perfectly handsome elf" line
