Are you romancing him April?

I haven't been able to rivalmance him with my Hawkes since the Danarius news lol. Maybe I'll roll a Fem!Hawke one of these days. My females always tend toward the touchy side.

No, not this time, this Hawke is romancing Isabella*; I friend-ed everyone except Anders, I sent him away in Act 2... chose the 'just go away' option after Dissent, didn't think he'd actually leave! lol

*interesting - Isabella leaves Hawke after the act2 romance and doesn't come back until act3 (Hawke says 'I waited for you' and 'it was worth the wait') - how come Fenris gets all the flack for leaving for 3 years when Isabella does the exact same thing? or does she get flack for it? I've only seen people complaining about Fenris doing it.

Done the Fenris rivalmance with mage which was my favorite so far, but it was also the first and those PTs usually are a little more 'with the deep feels' haha

Also friendmanced Fenris with my templar lovin' warrior, it was okay, well it was Fenris so it was fantastic but not as great IMO as the rival/mage dynamic.

I'm going to try the friendmance with a mage after this PT (first - new DAO warden since all my Hawkes are Warden imports).

Honestly, it's impossible for me to friend-mance him as a mage. I tried it once, and I felt like such a self-hating hypocrite.

I love friendmancing Fenris as a mage, oddly enough. My only rivalmance worked out great (2h warrior), because he was aggressively protective over Bethany, and drank the Anders' Kool-aid (until he saw what became of the chantry and Meredith's reaction; then before he could spit, he murder-knifed Anders for endangering his sister...argggh!...he was a growly type....hehe)

My most favorite mage!Hawke friendmance with Fenris was my direct/snarky Mage, Zander Hawke. He did fight for mage rights (just didn't bring Fenris on those related quests), but he didn't trust Anders (rivaled), and didn't like Merrill's blood magic (rivalled...mmm...nicely..heh!). This made RPing a friendmance with Fenris even more believeable (for me).

All my lady!Hawkes have friendmanced him, and most (with the exception of two of my Hawkes) had "friended" everyone.

I always friend everyone except sometimes Merrill (rivaling her is sad but it's a lovely arc) and once Aveline just to get the fight scene xD

I would love to rival Anders but supposedly he bashes Hawke for being pro-templar if you do, even if you don't support the templars, so...

I never rival Fenris; just breaks my heart :s

I used to rival Fenris like woah. Loved it... then Ryzaki ruined it lol. Or Mr. Gaider may have since he was the bearer of bad news.

I ususally Friend everyone but Carver. Little ****** is too hard to get anywhere.

Yeah I'm curious now too? Was it the confirmation from DG about Fenris' relationship with Danarius?

Also it's payday so I've just ordered the N7 Ladies Hoodie. Will take an absolute age to get here from the US and will be black for all of 5 minutes before it gets covered in cat hairs but I'M EXCITED. I was ridiculously tempted to buy the I Alistair tshirt but my friend is called Alistair so my boyfriend might not be comfortable with that.

I want that Alistair tshirt so badly! But it's a bit pricy as it is and then it has to go through customs and I have to pay fees so in total it would surmount to +$60. I think that's a bit much for a tshirt. Even one that says Alistair

awesome! please let me know how you like it and the fit. I bought the men's hoodie (wearing it today as a matter of fact) but it's really long and bulky. Also, let me know if the stripes are actual sewn material. The first ones were like applied stripes and they color tends to 'run/rub'. They switched the mens hoodies to the sewn material but I wasn't sure if they did it to the womens yet.

I got lucky and they had a the Alistair t on sale for $12 a while back, I should have bought two of them, they run a bit... small.. so for a full top, it's like a baby doll tshirt. lol Only time anyone recognized it (well, the only time someone said something) was in a Game Stop store.

I wish they had a nice Fenris tshirt. Still want to make my own. one day!

Are you referring to the bugged animations and they had an "intimate" relationship?

It makes it look a certian way and Fenris's comment afterwards doesn't help. I... well those animations should have been ironed out more. I dislike rivalmance with Fenris anyway, but I guess if you enjoy it just think of Fenris seeing a bit of broccoli stuck in Hawke's teeth or noticing some major halitosis.

It's... a hard scene to reconcile considering the pain his markings give him and his previous relationship with Danarius. I guess if you are after an emotional reaction from Fenris, then you have it. But it looks a bit too physical or tramatic if you consider canon. Canon mixed with that lazy animation is not great. :/ If you ignore canon it probably would never be an issue.

I love Carver. If you want a friendship with him, take him along in the Legacy DLC. It makes it easier.

She's pure evil. I still haven't gotten past the urge to gag when I think of Fen having attatchment issues. Horrible girl. I mean she's awesome, but horrible.

I feel your pain. Also I am no good at saving money so everytime I think I should sit fown and order a hoodie-cause I need one- I end up buying something else instead.

I need something with Fens Lyrium ghost symbol on it. Arquen had a good idea way back when. Maybe I'll hunt for that a bit.

Huh? What did she say about the rivalry romance with Fenris? I've never seen anything wrong with it. If anything, I think it helps him see that not all mages are evil. Life mage Hawke and Bethany for instance.

And I know what you mean, moto. I've always wanted an N7 hoodie. But fifty American dollars would be close to about seventy or so NZ Dollars, plus shipping and handling. :-( Sucks to be a poor and jobless university student.

I'm just going to drop this link here, re: the "intimate relationship" thing and possible Rivalmance complications due to it.

(Bear in mind that Gaider wrote the Rivalmance first, and likes it the most! He definitely includes the Rivalmance in what he says in that link!)

Gaider says otherwise, but still... Male mage Hawke and Fenris is just so hard to feel right considering Fenris's past. Male rogue and Male swordsman have never bothered me, but male mage rivalmancing him always makes it feel kind of creepy. Oh well. Have at him Hawke.

After playing Witcher 2 you realise how great the sex scenes could have been in DA2 More nudity and sex for DA3! I want a nakies Fenris!!!!! Actually, any naked male elf will do as long as he doesn't look like a bulldog chewing a wasp.

I know! Why didn't you tell me about the hot elf in Witcher 2 sooner, Ghost??? I only started playing it a week ago. Maker's balls how I wish I could play as a female instead of Geralt in the Witcher and be able to romance Ioverth. I love how made him so gritty and intense. It made me wish they had kept Fenris's hair dark :/ I get the appeal of dark elf and dark hair now. We need more scars in DA3!

I do believe that there is a mod for Skyrim that allows you to have Ioverth as a follower. Would love to have him in DA2. :DDD Perhaps, BW should look at the Witcher for inspiration. It's better than Skyrim.

Oh yah I know that canonically there is nothing wrong, Still head canonically I start a rival playthrough with my male Hawkes and my head supplies a Fenris unknowingly pining for Danarius/a master again. Lol. I think I may have read a fic that had that too which certainly doesn't help. The rivalmance isn't bad, it's just ruined for me.  (I may do one anyways but not with my mage Hawkes.)

I wonder if romanced Fenris, after getting past his initial aversion to touch is rather touch starved? Certainly with what few scenes we get he is very all over Hawke/passionate.

*sob* Xbox live won't let me download witcher. I actually have to go buy the game from a store! I hate doing thatI Wanna play my game but my dog got sprayed by a skunk and then promptly came into my room to chill. It's kinda unbearable.

Because I thought it was common knwoledge by now over hot-scarred-elf-manwithahatredforhumansmakefemalehumanspantiesmelt.
Plus thats just for eye candy that makes it safe for others. Once you get a sample of his personality it is basically sociopathic boerding on genocide terrorist....not really romantic unlss you wann view him as "Sure brah I'll help you kill all the filthy humans in return for some women's rights."

And back to Fenris.....I'll romance him even as a mage. (due to I shout at Anders to heal me, even when I set it up and he still doesnt heal.)
