I'd love it if they got the guy that did Balthier to do Fen, but I don't think that fits with the clues we have.

I still think that the voice is Gideon Emery, if having a distinctive accent is no longer part of the equation.

I just love how Gideon Emery voiced Captain Gavorn. And yep, I'd like it if he voiced Fenris too, but this accent business may fudge that up. Ah well, Gaider got the voice actor he wanted and I'm willing to bet I'll be happy with whoever was chosen.

Hmm... I imagine Kirkwall is slightly colder being more south (please remember that the Dragon Age climate is reversed), and closer to the Ferelden border. Perhaps Fenris left his shoes to feel the cold better.

It's not really "reversed". It's just in the southerm hemisphere. Which makes me wonder...are there other continents? Humans came from the North so there must be something there...

I think it's just as likely that David Gaider was making reference to the fact the Varric thread guessed his VA before anyone actually heard him speak.

So I don't doubt he's got a distinctive accent, but the "30 seconds" bit probably isn't as important.

SirOccam heard him and confirmed that it is Bloom. He also confirmed Vaghuan's VA for Hawke. But the names were flowing around for some weeks on the forums.

We never heard him...Varric was present in the demo. And we might have guessed the VA by now, but they are not saying "Yes he is the one!". Mary was stunned at the moment and that's why she confirmed it

Does Matt Bomer have a distinctive voice? Distinctive looks, sure, but I'm not sure that's useful for a VA.

You know I be curious to see if looks/build ever do end up making a difference in choosing VAs in the future. In that we got stuff like L.A. Noire which is mapping the VA faces and use them in the game. As well as for instance Uncharted which uses the VAs for mo-capping (I dunno about mapping the face).
