Granted it also be cute to see Fenris stealing some apples, since he loves em. ......Oh man, the one time i wish you can make food as presents for your group. The one thing I used to love in JRPGS bioware doesnt USE!

Hehehehe then again I abuse it making cookies for the Qunari..

"Give us back the Tome of Koslan!!"

"How aout these giant cookies and a recipe for them?"

"We are sorry for acting up."

Oh! Stealing the apples would be adorable. Hawke would catch him, he'd do that sexy little smirk he does, take a bite and then walk off like nothing happened. This could be a cute little story. The Adventures of Fenris... no wait... That Thing You Do With Your Hand?  Hawke could follow him around for a day and see how many naughty things he does. Steal her underwear :D I am so writing this. Thank you for the idea Ghost!

That would be sweet to make food. I'd make Varric dessert and watch him get the crumbs in his chest hair... on second thought o_O

Love this artist's interpretation of Fenris' family.  Drawn by the person who runs the broodyelf ask blog.

aww that's really cute. BroodyElf (man?woman?) does some great drawings from what I've seen.

I'm working on a Leto/Varania/Mother picture as well (inspired by a Fleshdress post from earlier) , I was debating the mom's hair color and was going to go with black, so it's nice to see someone else made the same decision.

Still can't decide if Leto should have black or red hair, I like both for him but black makes more sense due to his eyebrows. thoughts?

Thank you for the interest in the story! I will post a link when it is done. I've already started the outline >:} True evil.

That picture of Fenris and the apples LOL! I want to know how they got him to pose like that. Looks like it could be Garry's mod. Have to check it out. Yes, coordination does suffer after you've drank the whole bottle and probably another. ;)

Awww very cute picture of little Leto, but also very sad :( I wonder why the artist made Varania the eldest?

I'd say black hair April. But that's just my preference because of his eyebrows. I don't if I have ever seen a person with red hair and dark eyebrows. Go with your instinct. :D

Please share when you are finished or you will earn the Fenris eyebrow ;)

I have a question. I've started playing Origins and I was wondering if anyone knows of a dependable mod that can give you more facial options, hair, nose etc for creating your character?

Any advice would be much appreciated :D

The simples advise is to go here and choose:

And about Fenris - just found this one:

Did not know he was the only one who managed to kill some of his kidnappers :)

^Heh, he is the only one paranoid enough to actually be prepared for a surprise attack.

Aldien, this is a great hair mod: social.bioware.com/project/7905/

There are plenty of mods that add skin colors, eye colors, tattoos and skin complexions, but you need the Toolset for many of them to be available when creating a character. So if you really want to tweak everything on your character, you should download the Toolset and use it to create the head. There also more options to adjust the nose, face, etc. in the Toolset.

I assume you have modded DA2 as well? Because it's pretty much the same for DAO. The downloads go in a different folder, I think, but you'll still often need to merge two chargenmorph files to get more mods to work together.

Thanks Ren and Armirit :D I appreciate it. This game... o_O It's not what I thought it was. I want the king as an LI. He's sexy. I know... he dies doesn't he? I haven't gotten that far yet. That's where DA2 picks up? I got to say that I prefer Fenris's look over the elves I'm seeing here. They look too childlike. But perspective is hard to see in this game so it may just be me. Thanks again! Off to see Alistair.

Aldien, which origin did you choose? (if you said earlier, sorry I missed it) Did you buy the Ult Edition?

oh yes, I will share for sure! Finishing up my Sebastian fanart, hopefully today or tomorrow, then I'll get to work on the Leto/Varania one.

I can't mod (yet, I need to buy for PC) but I always hear the vibrant colors is a good one

@aldien - YAY! Your playing DAO....Just give me a PM, and I will gladly give you my list of mods that were easy to use, and gave me more choices in the CC (since I don't use the toolset; chicken. hehe).

@ghost - the cookies and the Qunari made me giggle/snort. :D

@April - definately looking forward to your drawing. :)

I'm just starting a DAO runthrough too. While it's not my first, I'm savouring it much more than I normally do. Listening to all the dialogue, watching the complete cutscenes...asking the companions EVERYTHING.

And I'm playing as a Dwarf for the first time too. I've only ever done the Dwarf origins for the achievements in the past. The only thing bothering me about it is when there's a cutscene featuring my character and another, taller character, she's just barely in the screen. Her nose and forehead is barely visible...meh.

Ah well, in DAO you mostly see only the back of your character's head anyway.

I've remembered the one thing DAO has that, in my opinion, makes it better than DA2....

The ability to be a golem. Even if it's just for one quest. xD

I don't know why, but something about the dwarves design in Origins bugs me. I don't know what it is, but it's not the arms, or the height. (Shrugs)

I played DA2 before Origins as well. I've always played as a mage, even in my first Origins playthrough. I would have loved to play as an elven mage, but I dislike how all the elves have American/Canadian accents, even the Dalish. As much as I dislike the elf redesign in 2, I love how the Dalish elves have Welsh and Irish accents. It really adds to their feel as a distinct race of people. It's just their string bean build that looks really off.

Fenris, I can understand having a very British accent. He's from Tevintar, which is basically fantasy world counterpart Rome, and because of Hollywood, we're all used to Roman characters being played by British dudes and gals ;-)

EDIT: Urgh, the Broken Circle/Lost in the Fade quest... I HATE that part! At one point, there's this mage that launches a fireball at you that takes up the entire screen! First time going through took me AGES because of that damn spell!

It took me a while, but I eventually figured that out. The giant burst of flame taking up my screen still happens, though. And to me, that quest to so long and tedious. Which is weird because I eventually grew to like the Deep Roads (Probably because it was like reading through the Mines of Moria segment in the Fellowship. Not that I'm saying it's plagiarism, because really it's not. The LOTR is, after all, pretty much the Holy Grail of fantasy fiction). As much as I enjoyed the Fade (and hated how small and short the DA2 one was), that quest was just far to looooooooong :-(

Its weird - I filled in a Tumblr questionnaire thing the other day and one of the questions was 'whats your most hated DA quest?'. I said it was The Circle but after playing last night it's not as bad as I remember. The thing that ALWAYS gets me is that there's one of the 'realms' that I spend ages trying to find the main boss to kill and it turns out there isn't one in that realm - you know the one I mean? With all the mouse holes and portals but nothing major to actually kill? Wah!! I do love the concept of having to change forms in order to complete the whole thing though. Quite innovative and makes you think.

I'm slowly getting used to the height difference between my Dwarf and Alistair. The only thing that bugs me is that when they kiss she suddenly seems to grow 30 inches and is the same height as him. There's no indication he stoops down or anything (ala Zevran). Maybe I'm just expecting too much lol.

I'm feeling so much more connected to my character this time round than with my F!Cousland and M!Amell characters. Its taking me about 5x as long to complete the game because I'm taking such care and doing EVERY SINGLE LITTLE QUEST which I don't normally do.

I even had a good old look around Lothering and tried to guess which one was the Hawke's house. I finally settled on the one near the Windmill because my canon Hawke is an archer rogue and there was a trunk behind that house with a bow inside. I like to think that's Marian's backup bow for when she's in a pinch :pinched:

When you know how to do it, the Fade can be completed a lot quicker than on the first run. Personally I kinda like the shapeshifting, although the part with the portal doors, where you have to keep trying different doors until you´re finally in the next area, remains annoying. :P Personally I dislike the Deep Roads part the most. It's only interesting when playing a dwarfen noble.

Yep. Much easier this time. I'm putting off Orzammar til the end because I'm playing as a Dwarf Noble and she's DEFINITELY not looking forward to going back after the &#$*storm that surrounded her leaving. <_<

Also I'm not sure if this has already been posted but I loved it:

Okay, it's official. I am addicted to this game and yes *Fenrisy grumbles* it is much better than DA2. It's like I just discovered not all mages are bad. Maker's balls whose idea was it to get me to play this? Every minute I get I'm playing.

Did you finish your picture April?

I bought the edition that has both origins and awakenings on it. April, I love that picture! The king is gorgeous, very dead now in my game, but gorgeous and extremely personable. The battle cut scene was wonderful. So intense and very LOTR but extremely well done. I enjoyed that. DA2 could have done with more of those mini movies. Speaking of which, I now understand why everyone loves Alistair. He's so damn adorable that I want to die! It's the hair. ;)

Thanks for the mod links! Now I shall never have a life again. :)

I finished the crazy Fade mission the other day. It drove me nuts until I received all of the shape shifting forms. But once I could turn into a Golem it was so much fun! I liked throwing rocks at people as a kid ;)

I was doing the same thing ;) Where does she live? Can I just drop in for a chat? No! She'd steal my Alistair and I'd have to kill her! Then poor Fenris would be all alone :/

Talking about height differences and stuff. Do the hands freak anyone else out? Everyone's hands look gigantic compared to their bodies and their arms extremely long.

Welcome to the "Team Alistair" :)
I feel like a teenage gilr - "oh, tell me everything about your first time" (sorry, but questions we all ask you here do feel this way)

There is a mod that a little brightens up and underlining Alistair appearance, if you are interested http://dragonage.nex...s.com/mods/1596 not that he needs any, of course :)

And I highly recommend "no helmet mod" if Cold did not send you that one yet.
